After watching President Obama’s faux State of the Union speech last night and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal’s Republican response, the old man McCain and the flashy Sarah Palin don’t look so bad, now do they?

Will the GOP be able to resist Sarah Palin in 2012?

Seriously, can you see her in a contest with Mitt Romney, Bobby Jindal and Mike Huckabee?

No contest.

Sheer torture. Jindal’s speech is going to be remembered even more than Dean’s scream. I sincerely hope he doesn’t run for President. I have no wish to listen to this speech over and over again. Unless Jeb Bush suddenly decides to step in, President Obama doesn’t really need to worry all that much about his reelection.

I agree. Unless the economy gets worse and Obama crashes and burns he is in for 2 terms.

The GOP should concentrate on recruiting new candidates in states where they can make gains in the House and to a limited extent in the Senate.

Just as baseball teams do rebuilding, the GOP should do the same and bolster their roster of candidates.
