Jon Stewart Hammers Jim Cramer on The Daily Show – What About Bush?

Cramer vs. Stewart: ‘Mad Money’ Host Faces Multiple Slams in ‘Daily Show’ Showdown

Now the discussion about the economic meltdown is about the greed and corruption of Wall Street and NOT Boooooosssh. Why is it not focusing on the Obama Administration’s attempt at a solution?

By spending $Trillions……..

No, Stewart who is a left-wing supporter of “The One” would rather focus on Cramer.

Jon Stewart hammered Jim Cramer and his network, CNBC, in their anticipated face-off on “The Daily Show,” repeatedly chastising the “Mad Money” host for putting entertainment above journalism.

“I understand that you want to make finance entertaining, but it’s not a … game,” Stewart told Cramer, adding in an expletive during the show’s Thursday taping. The episode was scheduled to air at 11 p.m. EDT on Comedy Central.

It was perhaps the hardest lashing Stewart has given to a TV commentator since 2004 when he called Tucker Carlson and his then co-host Paul Begala “partisan hacks” on CNN’s “Crossfire,” the since canceled political commentary program.

How relevant is this?

Stewart is a weasel who doesn’t have the word polite in his vocabulary. If I beat someone down and cursed at them, does that mean my argument is right?

It is no wonder Cramer was caught off guard by a Jew comedian who like Al Franken, has ulterior motives. With his Talmud hidden under his desk, it is clear Stewart is practicing for the yearly blood-letting sacrifice to Moloch.

Keep an eye on your young children this time of year

Are you guys serious? Did we not just watch the same interview? The journalism media (the “free press”) was designed to inform and educate the public of what is going on. It wasn’t and shouldn’t be about profits and ratings and entertainment. It is suppose to support the idea of Democracy and Free Market, that a well informed and educated public will make correct decisions. He lashed out mostly at CNBC, but Cramer in particular because he was on the show, about how instead of investigating and serving the US public, they catered to the corporations, disregarded information they knew was going on (since Cramer himself admitted in the interview referrenced that he did it himself), in order to entertain.

And the way Stewart conducted the interview, while agressive and used “foul” language, was civilized and did not attack Cramer for anything other than the facts. If you watch O’Reily or Hannity, or even Matthews and Olberman, they can’t refrain from attacking individuals and not focusing on the ideas, or worse yet. Stewart brilliantly uses the Socratic method of argument and debate, and constantly shows why he is one of the most watched and, increasingly so, becoming one of the most trusted sources for information. Stewart is the most unpartisan commentatory, and has been just as critical about what has been going on with Obama (just look at his coverage of the INAUGERATION, or his constant attacks of pouring all this money into banks… his plan, give those billions of dollars to individuals to pay off their loans/debts, therefore capital would be put back into the banks AND all those liabile loans would be off the books, an idea so simple yet it makes so much sense) and the Democrats as he is of the Republicans when they use contradictary and conveinent logic or do things that are unexplainably stupid and indefensible.

Joey, are you frakking kidding me?

Jon Stewart is a comedian and Cramer is a business entertainer/faux-journalist.

Both are wannabe political pundits who cannot be taken seriously.

By the way, Jon Stewart isn’t even frakking funny.

By dismissing Stewart as a comedian, you are being very narrowminded and, frankly, just wrong. The fact that he puts up ratings in the range of 1.4-1.6 million (he eclipsed that number around the election, getting over 2million) compared to O’Reily getting around 3-4 million shows that he has a very significant viewer base, and as you point out, a considerable influence on the news for the younger generation (plus he frequently gets guests such as former president Clinton and Carter, vp Gore, prime minister Tony Blair, NBC nightly news anchor Brian Williams [who beats out both Stewart and O’Reily, and who, unlike you, respects and commends Stewart for his contribution to journalism]). Stewart uses the socratic method for interviewing, is consitant with his message and attacks, not compromising what he thinks based on what side he is on the argument (you can look up and of his commentary on Fox news to show how everyone on that network is a “wannabe pundit” who cannot be taken seriously) and, many of the real political pundits can learn a thing or two from him (you can too, cause he wouldn’t just dismiss you because you are some random blogger, he would actually listen to what you have to say and then judge you based on those merits and your ability to defend your argument).

By dismissing Cramer as a faux-journalist, you dismiss the fact that he is one of the most watched financial advisors on one of the most watched financial channels, and the fact that few americans do their own research, let alone read much anymore, you dismiss the power he and those on his network have. I am making the assumption, potentially wrongly, that you consider some of the hacks on Fox News as true political pundits, and I argue that your same logic to dismiss Cramer should be used on the Hannity’s, Beck’s, and O’Reily’s (I don’t think i need to mention Mathew’s or Olberman…) and it goes without saying Rush Limbaugh’s, who is probably the worst example of “entertainer/faux-journalist”

You have to be a complete idiot and moron to think that Cramer or Stewart are anything more than entertainers.

Do you really think people invest their hard earned money because of Cramer’s stock picks?

Do you really think anyone obtains their hard news from a television channel called Comedy Central?

Same with Olbermann, Matthews, Hanntry, Maddow and Limbaugh – all entertainers, left and right.

History will marvel at how much trust the middle class was willing to place in corporations…that ended up raping them and the country. Stupid idealogical arguments like “we are becoming socialist” just serve the corporatist. Cramer is a phony…there is very little objective reporting left in this country because corporations have been running wild.

  • Flap

    And, what are corporations?

    Groups of people doing business.

If you are so against corporations, then who should conduct private enterprise?
