Poll Watch: Obama Craters on Economy And Falls Below 50 Per Cent Approval

obama-arg-poll

So says the latest ARG poll:

Among Republicans, 19% approve of the way Obama is handling the economy and 70% disapprove. Among Democrats, 75% approve of the way Obama is handling the economy and 22% disapprove. Among independents, 35% approve and 57% disapprove of the way Obama is handling the economy.

It is the ARG polling operation which is always a little suspect. But, a below 50 per cent approval level for Obama may signal the beginning of the end of Obama’s popularity. The 57 per cent disapproval by independent voters is especially noteworthy.

That poll doesn’t make any sense. Why would you compare the question of approval of Obama’s handling of the economy with Bush’s overall approval rating? The questions don’t match and thus you can’t compare them. Gallop still has Obama at 62% approval. Pollster, which averages all polls, shows Obama at 58.6% approval.

By the way, this is the first time I’ve visited your blog, I like how the theme changes slightly each time you click an internal link.

My first time to visit this poll blog. I am very surprised to say the least that Comrad Obama even has a 49% approval rating. If this is a valid and true poll the American people are in for a very large disappointment. I would assume the poll has a +/- 5% accuracy variance. It appears that his economic polocies will plunge America into a non-recoverable depression, and perhaps hard socialism before 2012.

“Comrade Obama” I Love it. I also like the theme on you blog in fact I even implemented it in one of my new blogs. Flap you have replaced the Sunday AM paper for me.

As far as the poll goes I beleive you are seeing the tip of the iceburg. People are going to realize we elected a President with no record — it might have saved him in the election as there was little to no proof of how flawed his plocies would be. It is not going to help him now.

This will be the first Pres in a while that does not get the auto second term.
