The BOGUS Sarah Palin Arctic Cat Clothes Flap

Governor Sarah Palin wishes Iron Dog racers well at the start of the 2009 race in Big Lake

Well, the LEFT continues its relentless attack against Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

The second ethics complaint in a week against Gov. Sarah Palin alleges a conflict of interest when she wore Arctic Cat logo gear during this year’s Tesoro Iron Dog snowmachine race.

Arctic Cat sponsors Palin’s husband, Todd, in the world’s longest snowmachine race, Big Lake to Nome to Fairbanks.

But Palin, in a statement sent to news media this afternoon under the headline “Latest Bogus Ethics Complaint,” said the criticism is unjustified.

“Yes, I wore Arctic Cat snow gear at an outdoor event, because it was cold outside, and by the way, today, I am wearing clothes bearing the names of Alaska artists, and a Glennallen Panthers basketball hoodie. I am a walking billboard for the team’s fundraiser! Should I expect to see an ethics charge for wearing these, or the Carhartts I wear to many public events? How much will this blogger’s asinine political grandstanding cost all of us in time and money?”

Linda Kellen Biegel, a Democrat who blogs under the name “Celtic Diva,” said in her complaint that Palin “improperly used her position and state resources to serve her personal financial interests by being a walking billboard for Arctic Cat, a private for-profit company and family business sponsor.”

What a bunch of crap – just like many of the FLAP’s regarding Palin.

Sarah must continue to be a big threat to the LEFT for them to continually promote this nonsense.

Wouldn’t it seem a little strange if the company sponsored her husband, and Palin’s family NEVER wore their clothing? I don’t see how this could possibly be a misuse of state resources…?!

Corporate sponsorship is a form of advertising. If Alaska’s Gov. Palin has to find clothing that is only made by companies that that do not advertise in Alaska, she’s going to have a very difficult time finding clothes to wear.

People should get off Sarah Palin’s case (putting it the nicest way possible) anyone with half a brain knows that she was picked to run as V.P. candidate for the republican ticket because they thought that McCain was going to face a Obama/Clinton ticket and wanted to appeal to women voters. (this was almost as bad a pick as the V.P. that couldn’t spell potatoe . What was his name?).

In the photo you see people wearing fur caps on such a cold day. Are any of the hypocrites saying anything to them about it?

Well I haven’t been snowmobiling in a coon’s age, but when I did, ArctiCat was the *real* gear. If you were going out, you suited up in it, head to toe. Our best machines were Arcticat too. If I lived in Alaska it would be what I’d want. So. What the hell are these morons complaining about?

Tom Hamilton…I hope you were being sarcastic, because if not, get the hell over it, loser.
