Susan Atkins Parole Hearing Rescheduled to September 2, 2009

This undated file handout photo provided by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation shows Susan Atkins. Atkins was expected to succumb to brain cancer months ago, but the former Charles Manson follower imprisoned for killing actress Sharon Tate nearly four decades ago still clings to life. Now, a hearing that is perhaps her last chance at freedom has been abruptly put off until September 2009.

So says the California Department of Corrections.

Atkins has served 38 years in prison, longer than any other female prisoner, officials said. Before last year’s attempt, she was most recently considered for, and denied, parole in 2000.

In early 2008 Atkins was diagnosed with brain cancer. With one leg amputated and the other paralyzed, Atkins has only six months to live, doctors say. Atkins petitioned for so-called compassionate release, igniting a debate about when mercy is appropriate.

Those backing her release argued unsuccessfully that the cost of keeping Atkins in prison, which by now could be well over a million dollars, should have favored her release because it would save the state substantial amounts of money.

Others, including former Manson prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi, said it was a question of mercy and told The Times it was wrong to say “just because Susan Atkins showed no mercy to her victims, we therefore are duty-bound to follow her inhumanity and show no mercy to her.”

But most were unwavering in their contention she should die in prison considering her crimes.

Tate, the wife of film director Roman Polanski, was 8 1/2 months pregnant when she and four others were killed at her hilltop home in Benedict Canyon. The actress, who was stabbed to death, had begged Atkins for her life.

“She asked me to let her baby live,” Atkins told parole officials in 1993. “I told her I didn’t have mercy for her.”

Atkins was housed at the California Institution for Women in Corona from April 1971 until March 2008, when she was transferred to a local hospital for treatment.

And, here is why, Susan Atkins will likely die in prison:

Remember Susan Atkins famously told a sobbing and begging Sharon Tate prior to her murder and mutilation, “Look bitch, I have no mercy for you.”

Susan Atkins should remain incarcerated for the rest of her natural life.

Look BITCH, the people of California have NO MERCY for you.

*44) Missy Macon 21, was murdered while working in a convenience store on May 26, 1985 in Ragland, Alabama. She was shot in the back of the head with a .25 caliber handgun. Cayce Moore, 16, a D & D Dumgeon Master with a 142 IQ, said, “I lived Dungeons and Dragons” and had been playing it for 5 years. He committed the murder and then fled with two other young D & D players to Florida after stealing $700. None of the youngsters had any history of crime. Cayce was planning to be a surgeon and one of his friends was planning to be in the FBI (Daily Press-AP 7/7/85).

    Yankeerose,

    No, you are not banned.

You are on moderation for a while because of your foul language.

If you can demonstrate some restraint I will remove the moderation as well.

  • Ron

Yankee, since you can write but not read, let me repeat:

Why does Susan continue to cause PAIN to the surviving victims by making those inocent people have to go before a parole board and hear Susan demand to be released?

I am not talking about the legal aspect, but a moral question. Why does Susan continue to cause pain and sin on those inocent people who did nothing to her?

  • Yankeerose

CENSORED BECAUSE I CALLED THE MURDERER OF MY FIRST COUSIN THE “B” WORD FOR A MALE THA’S ILLEGITIMATE

  • Yankeerose

IT’S OBVIOUS YOU RON HAVE READ MY POST WITH THE ANSWER OR YOU WOULD NOT HAVE STATED “I am not talking about the legal aspect, but a moral question. Why does Susan continue to cause pain and sin on those inocent people who did nothing to her?

  • Yankeerose

Flap,I was thinking,i am basically grounded here, so I was thinking. The last time I was grounded was in 86 or 87 my would be husband was racing his Speedway bike at Ascot Park & he wrecked badly and I said the” F “word really Load.My Mother promptly took me to the crew chief trailer and let me have it.The next day my Dad the Sign painter air brushed me a t shirt that said” MY NAME IS ROSE AND I’M A POTTY MOUTH”they made me wear it to humiliate me “teach me a lesson”

  • Flap

    Yankeerose,

You are not being censored but are on moderation because of your propensity to use obscene language including calling others foul names.

My terms of use are above for all to read.

  • Yankeerose

Propensity an often intense natural inclination or preference….favorable disposition or partiality.
yes that is me.it’s ok I have been CENSORED my entire life.I once marched for the books being banned & burned. They banned Little Women ,Of Mice and Men,there is a whole list “they” did not want us reading…really come now,Little Women!See how censorship is Illegal,UNCONSTITUTIONAL, immoral and reminiscent of the NAZI REGIME

  • Ron

    Yannkee, you avoided the question.

You are asking for compasion for Susan. Why is Susan not being compansionate to the surviving victims? Why is she forcing the victims to re-live that horrid moment by forcing the victims to sit through the parole hearings?

  • siberiansrgrt

well…all I know is… God punishes ugly.. and if this isn’t the perfect example, I don’t know what would be. Her crimes were horrible … setting her free for any reason sends the wrong message to others who feel punishment for murder has any other ending than being put to death or spending the rest of their life in jail.

  • Ron

    Exactly.

What is waiting for Susan the moment she dies is going to be very VERY ugly.

On top of all of the horrible things Susan has done, as if that is not enough already, will be ther putting the surviving victims through parole tourture.

Oh man, one juicy setup is sure waiting for Susan.

  • zugzwang

I honestly think Ron is one of the few sane ones here, you others arguing for susan are nothing but posers.

You try and argue the case for forgiveness, throw around bible verses, yet sound like sailers. wth kind of witness is that? what kind of testimony is that?

you compound the ignorance/arrogance BY USING ALL CAPS THINKING IT’LL MAKE YOUR POINT CLEARER.
it won’t, it makes you look childish and immature.

you keep throwing around forgiveness like it’s a “get out of jail free card” literally, and insinuate that those that don’t agree with you are somehow “lesser” christians for it, ignoring the obvious that though god can forgive her if she’s really sorry, that doesn’t change the debt she owes to civil authorities that god put in charge over US as well.

(Or did you guys think you had a monopoly on the bible and the holy spirit?)

As already stated, IF she was really sorry she wouldn’t continue to make things harder for her victoms, she would “be content, in all things” & “To live is christ, to die is gain.” as paul said.

and if you cared about her cause, as you so obviously pretend to do, you would’ve made the case for her ONCE, and let it rest, instead of continuing to foment hatred and resentment with this continued bickering and arguing FOR YOUR OWN EGOS.

but you go right ahead and continue your lil “games”, you’ll answer for it one day too.

what happened in 69 was the devils work, but what about the government? they kill people everyday & people think its ok! we live in a world of hate! if u dont have money your nothing, but if u have money u r everything!we allow paper to control life! we all know that god does not exist in the government, all that exists is money, power, greed,& murder! let atkins go home & die their!!! she has did her time, now she will die.if u cant forgive her,how can u forgive the government for their crimes ,oh thats right all those innocent people killed by the government r not famous, silly me! PEOPLE R EQUAL IN THE EYES OF GOD,NOT BEING ALLOWED INTO HIS KINGDOM IS HELL !!!!!!

  • Ron

God will forgive Susan if she really is remorseful. I hope and pray that Susan is forgiven.

Whether Susan is forgiven or not, payback is in order and the Bible is very clear about that.

Susan’s paypack is going to be one HELL of a journey.

  • Rachael

The haters have let Manson win – they are JUST as bad.
I lost family to homicide and a worst death than that so don’t try pulling the emotive stuff to promote hate in me. Victims die through lack of forgiveness – it should not be encouraged.
Just as my slain family member would say enough punishment if her killer was in this situation, so should society regarding Susan. She is one of us. One who fell far but a human who has worked to give back to society ever sinceregaining her sanity. The victims(including living ones) would be as insane as the Mansons all once were if they wish a dying womanand her family to die without maximal comfort.
I hope none of the judgers here have

ever done any wrong. The humans commenting here are invited to support this petition. I understand she is a lovely person now and have heard many examples of how, in fact I admire her solid 35 years of community work to try and slightly reparate the harm she did while brainwashed, and refusal to give in to the stereotype. Some Minister even lately sent her unsolicited pamphlets explaining how she is a witch and truly a christian should accept she is going to eternal hell.

Its offensive to my sensibilities that her victims are on a mission to whip up wrath, fervor and hatred, and have vowed she’ll never leave jail. Atkins 17 year old niece touchingly told the last Parole hearing – to me shes not a Manson family member but a member of my family. Time has moved on.

If Susan is forgiven by God, she wont to to HELL, but that does not mean she wont go THROUGH HELL for her crimes.

Upon death, you don’t enter in God’s presence immediately, maybe the holly saints do, but most of us will have to go through a cleansing period if you want to call it that. Catholics call it Purgatory.

I cannot imagine any fair minded person thinking that upon death, you will immediately see God if you were a good person. No matter how good you were, we have all committed Sins. Some sins are purely horrendous like what Susan did and Susan will be confronted with that when she dies and that will be her HELL if her soul can survive it.

Why Susan today continues to put the surviving victims through additional TORTURE and PAIN with her parole hearings is beyond my conprehension. It is as they say, the final cherry on top of a horrendous crime.

She sure is packing it in for that final payback!

  • MARLA

Ole Sadie, hanging on to that last precious breath and hoping against all odds that she can rally enough support to earn a compassionate release. Life is so precious and she sure does value hers, doesn’t she?

When I think of Susan Atkins, all I can see is Sharon Tate’s bloodied pregnant body lying on the floor with a rope around her neck. And how Sadie testified in court how she held down Sharon Tate as she pleaded for her and the baby’s life. She also recounted how she told Tate, “Look, bitch, I don’t care a thing about you. You’re going to die and there’s nothing you can do about it.” To cause more suffering, they held off killing Tate until all others were dead, and then stabbed her repeatedly while she called out for her mother. Atkins later recanted her testimony. Of course she did.

  • Ron

Oh yes, some more juicy things of Susan:

“No Remorse: In 1991 she recanted her earlier testimony, stating she was present during the Hinson and Tate murders but did not participate. It has been reported that during her parole hearings she has shown neither remorse nor a willingness to accept responsibility for her part in the crimes. She has been turned down for parole 10 times.”

Susan Atkins (Sadie Mae Glutz) had less than 5 months to live back over a year ago. Amazing how that chick keeps on living longer than expected!

For the horrid things Susan did, she should be ashamed for even thinking of asking to be released. Susan, take all the confort you can squeez out of the Legal system while you are alive becuase the payback prepared for you will be one HELL of a journey with no Parole hearings.

  • Dianne

Ron, you need to read the Bible again. If Susan Atkins has repented, accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, her sins have all been forgiven and forgotten. She will spend her eternity with Almighty God. She will not go to hell or anything called purgatory. She goes to Heaven to live eternally. Even good people go to hell, if they have not accepted Christ. Christ’s death covered ALL sins, even the more horrendous ones that Susan Atkins did. Christ took the keys from Hell and rose again! He doesn’t send people to hell if they are forgiven and have accepted Him. God’s mercy covers everything. You seem to be putting it in a box. Even one of the thieves accepted Christ during the crucifixion and Christ said he would join him in paradise. He never said you will go to purgatory before joining me in heaven. He said the thief would be with HIM, today, not go through a cleansing period first..the cleansing period happens with you come before Christ, tell him you are sinner, ask forgiveness and accept him as your personal Lord and Savior. So if Susan accepted Jesus, she is saved and when she dies, she will go to heaven no matter what she did on this Earth. The scriptures support this too.

On either side of Jesus were two thieves executed at the same time. When one of them accepted Jesus as Lord, Jesus shared with him, “To day shalt thou be with Me in paradise” (Luke 23:43)

(Isaiah 55:6-7 NKJV) Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. {7} Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

(Daniel 9:9 NKJV) “To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him.

(John 3:16-17 NKJV) “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. {17} “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Ephesians 1:7 NKJV) In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1John 1:9)

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)

  • Ron

Dianne, you need to read the Bible again.

For starters, do you even realize that there are some sins for which you will never be forgiven from no matter how much you ask to be forgiven or think that you are “saved”:

In Matthew’s Gospel (Matthew 12:32) we read that the sin of “Blaspheming the Holy Spirit” is a sin which won’t be forgiven in this world or the next.

    Matthew 12:32
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Now, to correct your mistake is what you said above:

    Matthew 5:26
Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

Jesus, talking about the unforgiving debtor, said he would be tortured until his debt was paid. Jesus then said the Father would do the same to us.

    Matthew 18:34-35
And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Where is this place we will be in until we have paid our last farthing? A place we must stay until our debt is completely paid. We know it can’t be hell because no matter how much we pay there is no escape or pardon. It can’t be heaven because Scripture tells us nothing defiled can enter heaven.

There are way too many references to this, so I will stop here. However, sufice it to say that even normal fair minded people realize that to enter into the holy presence of God is huge and no, not everyone will see God opon death until that person is cleansed. If he helps you any, think of it as if you have an appointment with the most important person alive on Earth today and you have not taken a shower for a month and have no cloths on.

  • Ron

Now, getting back to the subject at Hand:

Susan (Sadie Mae Glutz), why do you continue to put the victims through more HELL by forcing them through those parole hearings?

Susan my darlin, the horid sins you committed are going to be one HELL of a payback journey for you as it already stand. Why are you packing it up more?

Stop Susan, the payback package is getting ugly and you need to survie it. Don’t add to it Susan, it’s already really ugly as it stands, why pack it in more? It’s going to come out and you are not going to have a very good time with that.

  • Dianne

Sorry, Ron, but I know what the Bible says but I don’t mind reading it again. It keeps my faith grounded in the Word of God. It is my life’s guide!

When I die, I am going straight to my Heavenly Father and will be walking on streets of gold for eternity. I am cleansed of my sins because I believe and have accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord. That’s all I need. It’s that easy. You are making it too hard. It isn’t meant to be. God if full of mercy and passion. He said if we accept His Son, He accepts us.

It says all have come short of the glory of God! No one is perfect and we won’t be perfect when we die. That is why Jesus died on the cross to cover our sins in life and through death. He never said we had to be perfect before we died to enter heaven. He never said when we die we have to be cleansed in another place before we can see Him. If we had to go somewhere else when we died to be cleansed, then why did Jesus die? You are implying that Jesus’s death doesn’t cover all sins. His love endures FOREVEWR! You’re example doesn’t make any sense. I confess my sins everyday to God and I am forgiven, so I am cleansed everyday.

So again, if Susan Atkins is a follower and born again Christian, she will go to heaven when she dies no matter what she did on this Earth before accepting Christ as her personal Savior. He has forgive her as far as the East is from the West. Call upon the name of Jesus, confess your sins and He is faithful and just and will hear you and help you turn from your wicked ways! It’s that easy. Some people just make it too hard!!

  • Dianne

Oh and by the way, Jesus paid ALL our debts on the Cross, so we don’t need to go anywhere to pay them off. He has already done that for us. Thank you God!!

  • Ron

Well, you can go by your beliefs or that of the Bible. I will stick with the Bible:

    Matthew 5:26
Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

This is one of the fundamental errors with some Christians thinking a rubber stamp is promissed. Again, read the Bible where some sins are simply not forgivable. You can imagine all you want, but the Bible is very clear about that and I even quoted where you can find that info, but I undersand that you rather ignore that part of the Bible.

However, going back to the real juicy question at hand: Why does Susan continue to inflict so much PAIN on the victims by putting them through torture with the parole hearings?

Susan my dear, don’t torure the victims anymore! Payback is going to be one HELL of a ride and you are extending that journey if you continue to inflict pain on the inocent.

  • Dianne

You are completely taking that verse out of context.

Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you,
    24
leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
    25
Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court with him. Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison.
    26
Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.

I don’t rubber stamp anything. Jesus promised me eternal life by dying on the cross. He said if I confess my sins He is faithful and just and will forgive me. He never said that I will have be to cleansed again when I die. His death covered ALL my sins. If I accept him, I go to HEAVEN. I am WASHED in the blood of the Lamb NOW, and when I die. So you go ahead and put your limitations on Jesus’s death and his mercy. The Bible speaks the truth and born again Christians will live eternally in Heaven with Jesus upon their death or by the rapture. If you are not saved, you will go to Hell, that my friend is the facts. I hope Susan Atkins is a born again Christian as she has a great eternity waiting on her.

  • Ron

    Oh my dear.

Yes, Jesus promises us heaven if we ask for forgiveness and Yes, Jesus paid for all of our Sins. Yes, Jesus death covered all Sins so those who repent will be forgiven and thus enter Heaven.

You seem to be confused with Forgiveness and Payment You can be forgiven and you will enter Heaven, but that does not mean you forfit payment. Payback is very real and it is explained in the Bible over and over:

You honestly think that you are as good as say Mother Teresa who spent her entire life serving God? Few will enter directly into God’s presence upon death. Mother Teresa may be one of the few, but most of us who are forgiven and will eventually enter Heaven will not go there directly.

Now to prove the falacy in your understanding. Here is just one example where no matter how much you ask to be forgiven, no matter how much you think you are forgiven, you are not:

    Matthew 12:32
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Do you realize that Jesus himseld said this? What part of “it shall not be forgiven” do you not understand?

  • Dianne

Jesus paid for my sins by dying on the cross. He paid my debt. I do not have to pay it back as I am forgiven by the blood that he shed FOR ME! Once you accept Jesus, that part of the Holy Spirit’s job is complete, thus you can’t blaspheme His work.

Yes, when I die, I will go straight to heaven! I will not pass go and collect $200…going straight there to live eternally with my Lord. I hope to see you there!

A true Christian cannot commit a sin for which there is no forgiveness. We are protected by the power of God (1 Peter 1:5).

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus…” (Romans 8:1).

  • Ron

Oh dear, I think we’ve taken a turn for the worse.

Jesus paid for our Sins that we may be able to enter Heaven. Yes, we got that. I agree. Our sins have consequences regarless if we are saved or not and payback is in order.

You honestly think someone can comitt horid sins any time they want and at the last second before death all they have to do is believe and all is well?

You say all Sins are forgiven by Jesus, yet you shut your eyes when Jesus clearly says that NOT all sins will be forgiable.

    Matthew 12:32
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Further more, sins are due and payable upon death as it is clearly explained in the bible. The only difference of the person who is saved verses the person who is not saved, is that the saved person will enter Heaven while the other will not. One will experience a finite time of Hell while the other will always and forever remain in HELL.

I personally believe that Susan will eventually go to Heaven if she is trully remorseful, but boy is she in for one big nasty HELL of a time the moment she passes on. It’s going to be real ugly folks.

By Susan putting the victims through HELL next month with her parole hearings is truely sad and disgusting. Not sure why she desires to inflict more pain on those inocent people. The fire is getting hotter 🙂

  • Dianne

    Ron,

We are clearly going to disagree. You believe what you believe and nothing I say will change it. All I know is that Jesus paid the debt for our sins, so a payback IS not in order! The debt has been paid and totally erased!

I don’t see what joy you are getting in hoping that Susan goes to Hell. Why would rejoice in anyone going to Hell? God is JUDGE, but HE is also MERCIFUL. I am glad you are not the one in charge of our souls as you seem like you can’t wait for Susan or anyone else who sins, even though they might have been completely forgiven and covered by the blood of Jesus, to get their “dues” after death.

In your beliefs, everyone is going to Hell or purgatory before going to Heaven, so everyone can just live the way they want on this Earth because after death you have another chance to be cleansed…so in your reality, Jesus didn’t need to die.

I don’t get any joy in knowing people are going to Hell.

  • Ron

Yes, we disagree. I clearly stated a passage from the Bible where Jesus is very clear about a Sin which is not forgivable. You choose to ignore that and disagree – fine. You unfortunately prefer to ignore what you don’t like in the Bible and pick only the things you like.

I am simply stating the facts, not my opinions.

The Bible gives several verses that people don’t immediately go to heaven. Some do, others do not even though they eventually end up in heaven. Others clearly end up in HELL for eternity which is the worse of the worse set of conditions.

Yeah, like when Lazarus was pulled out of Heaven (the most wonderful place of existance) and plocked back to Earth. If true that Lazarus was in Heaven, the first thing he would have said when he was brought back to Earth would have been SH*T!

I do not disagree with you pertaining to the unpardonable sin, however, someone that is saved and covered by the blood of Jesus doesn’t commit an unpardonable sin. Jesus paid our debts. It never has to be repaid. Was Jesus’s suffering not enough to cover ALL sins? Obviously you do not believe it was enough.

There isn’t any place in the Bible that references people do not immediately go to Heaven. People either go to Heaven or Hell. I am not ignoring anything, I know exactly what God’s word says and I KNOW that I KNOW, I am saved and going straight to heaven when I die or when the rapture comes.

There isn’t any reason to curse.

I hope you realize that you just contradicted yourself. Jesus said ( let me cut and paste):

    Matthew 12:32
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

If you are saved and you commit this sin, it will NOT be forgiven. It is clear and to the point.

You also seem to ignore the subject of this thread. Susan and the good questions being asked.

Why does Susan want to cause more pain on the surviving victims if she is “saved”?

  • Ana

I dont care what the bible says. She gotta pay for her crime, she didnt have mercy for sharon why shoul i feel sorry for her? For everyone who is defend her why dont try to be on sharons family side just for onesecond, would u forgive someone who killed your daudghter? Son? Mother? She is been denied for parole 10 times she already got 10 opportunities? What about sharon, abigail foldger, and the others that susan killed? They didnt have another opportunity to live… Is this fear? .. I dont feel sorry for anyone who take someones life, she is getting what she deserve, the only thing i can agree with someone in this forum who said there is no hell when you die is over its true but before that she gotta suffer the same or worst way than those she killed… I hope u suffer bitch.. I HAVE NO MERCY FOR YOU!!!!

  • Ron

    Very well said Ana.

I continue to ask WHY does Susan continue to inflict PAIN and SUFFERENT on the victims by putting them through parole hearings?

None of the Susan supports here seem to be able to handle that question.

Wow… I just read a gigantic fight / debate / argument about God and his rules… I thought this was a blog to talk about Susan Atkins…. I whole heartedly believe in God and his son Jesus… And I bet they are both up there slapping thier forheads at all the “Christians” on this site judging people, calling names, acting like they are never wrong and think they know what they are talking about. The Bible has been changed so many times for so many years, that I would think that no one but God knows exactly what Hell is, what repentence is, what forgiveness is, and what God is. I think that what S.A. did was a form of un earthly evil. But I also think that 37 years of rehab and brain cancer compleatly stopping her from doing it again is a good reason to consider granting parol. I would bet that she has fallen to her knees many times in the last fer decades and BEGGED God for forgiveness. And if what I learned in church all of these years is true, I would also bet that he has fogiven her at some point. And I also bet that if it were God’s decision, he would set her free at this point. Maybe ONLY at this point.. But he would, none the less. I think you all need to stop the preachy arguments and stick to what the blog is about. Her and her freedom. That’s all. Thank you..

  • nsfguy

P.S.. I didn’t take the time to read all of these all the way down, so for those of you who are sticking to the point and avoiding Christian arguments, ignore my last post..

  • Ron

Getting back to the subject at hand.

Why does Susa keep putting the victims through more HELL with the parol hearings?

In case you missed it, WHY? Why continue to cuase pain?

  • Pseudonym

Only a few more days and we’ll know the result of Susie’s parole hearing, pointless gesture that it is. At this point I think I’d prefer to see her denied again. I’s rather not have the spineless bureaucrats be able to play the compassion card at the very end.

    [quote]
“It is sad, but undoubtedly true, that parole boards are political bodies that base decisions as much upon anticipated public reaction to their decisions as on a careful review of a parole applicant’s prison record and statements. The three female defendants deserve release, but there is a real question whether they will ever experience freedom again. Susan Atkins, diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2008, will almost certainly die in prison.”

if we begin to live in a compassionless society than it is a society i long no further for.

Susan has been in prison for over forty years! Forty Years for one murder she commited when she was 21 something. Her life has been taken away already she will be merely coming out to die and she should spend her remaining months in freedom.

All this said she should never have blamed somebody else for commiting murder. Show remorse but not blame or excuses.

I really hope she is released today.

  • Ron

    For those asking for conpasion.

Why does Susan keep putting the victims through more parole HELL? The victims are hurting, why does Susan keep hurting them over and over.

Susan, I personally don’t believe in the electric chair, but when I see you putting the victims through such HELL, you make me want to bring the electric chair back.

Why Susan, why do you keep hurting the victims?

  • MARLA

james—-so much compassion for Susan The Murderer, so little compassion for the folks that, “bang on about God”.
