California Democrat Representative Henry Waxman: GOP “Rooting Against” USA

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), who has had an eventful couple of weeks to say the least, believes House Republican opposition to climate change legislation and the stimulus indicates they’re cheering against the good ol’ US of A.
“It appears that the Republican Party leadership in the Congress has made a decision that they want to deny President Obama success, which means, in my mind, they are rooting against the country, as well,†the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee chairman told WAMU radio host Diane Rehm on Tuesday morning, promoting his new book, “The Waxman Report.â€
Of course, the GOP immediately asked for an apology for such a stupid statement.
But, I thought the left of which Waxman is a charter member supported the axiom that dissent is the highest form of patriotism?
Guess only when Waxman and his cohorts are the dissenters, right?

I am 74 years of age and have spent over 40 years in the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry, as a consultant for over 30 years and 10 years with major and Junior Oil and Gas Companies. I have recently attempted to have the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) indicate as to how they hold their members accountable, as 2 out of 32 of their board members have stolen pension funds from us. My concerns are this, if 2 of their key members are thieves, without integrity, morals and ethics, how can you trust them with an orderly extraction of tar sands? I see an extremely dangerous situation developing in the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry with greed and the lack of integrity, morals and ethics. My estimation of this type of corruption exists in over 80% of the people who control the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry. If this type of Greed is not corrected, I can guarante you that there will be many more gulf tragedies and severe tar sands environmental problems.
