    • Republicans and Democrats are tied at 46% among registered voters in Gallup's weekly tracking of congressional voting preferences, marking a shift after five consecutive weeks in which the Republicans held the advantage.

A pretty dramatic shift in one week.

      Looks like an outlier

    • President Barack Obama will commemorate the ninth anniversary of September 11, 2001, at the Pentagon – the same location where he marked the day last year.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs announced in a briefing Tuesday that the president will attend a ceremony at the site of the Pentagon plane crash, while Vice President Joe Biden will travel to New York City. As previously announced, First Lady Michelle Obama and former First Lady Laura Bush will attend a ceremony in Shanksville, Pa., the site of the crash of United Airlines Flight 93.

Guess Obama could not face the folks in New York City.

      What a weenie.

  • Anwar Al-Awlaki,  Day By Day

Day By Day September 6, 2010 – Delight

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Al-Awlaki is an extremist nut fronting for Al Qaeda.

He has been noted for attracting young men with his lectures, especially U.S.-based and Britain-based Muslims.[54][55] Terrorism consultant Evan Kohlmann calls al-Awlaki “one of the principal jihadi luminaries for would-be homegrown terrorists. His fluency with English, his unabashed advocacy of jihad and mujahideen organizations, and his Web-savvy approach are a powerful combination.” He calls al-Awlaki’s lecture “Constants on the Path of Jihad”, which he says was based on a similar document written by al-Qaeda’s founder, the “virtual bible for lone-wolf Muslim extremists.”[56] Philip Mudd, formerly of the C.I.A.’s Counterterrorism Center and the F.B.I.’s top intelligence adviser, said: “He’s a magnetic character. He’s a powerful orator.”[37]

Even President Obama has had enough of this radical Islamofascist. He has presumably approved the targeted killing of this POS.

And, wait, this radical nutball even has been arrested for soliciting prostitution.

Although he hesitated to shake hands with women, he patronized prostitutes.[37] Al-Awlaki was arrested in San Diego in August 1996 and in April 1997 for soliciting prostitutes.[14][38][58][59] In the first instance, he pled guilty to a lesser charge on condition of entering an AIDS education program and paying $400 in fines and restitution.[59] The second time, he pled guilty to soliciting a prostitute, and was sentenced to three years’ probation, fined $240, and ordered to perform 12 days of community service.[59]

What an inspiring individual. Preaching radical Islam, including violent Jihad by day and searching the streets at night for women.

In July 2010, a Seattle cartoonist was warned by the FBI of a death threat issued by al-Awlaki in the Al-Qaeda magazine Inspire.[93] Eight other cartoonists, journalists, and writers from Britain, Sweden, and Holland were also threatened with death. “The prophet is the pinnacle of Jihad”, Awlaki wrote. “It is better to support the prophet by attacking those who slander him than it is to travel to land of Jihad like Iraq or Afghanistan.”

Please…….find this guy and get rid of him.

CA-Sen Poll Watch: Carly Fiorina 48% Vs. Barbara Boxer 47%

Republican Nominee Carly Fiorina and California Democrat Senator Barbara Boxer

This race continues as a dead heat.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters, including leaners, shows Fiorina picking up 48% of the vote, while Boxer draws support from 47%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) remain undecided.

These numbers show a slight shift from results with leaners found two weeks ago, when Boxer led Fiorina 49% to 44%. Leaners are those who initially indicate no preference for either of the candidates but answer a follow-up question and say they are leaning towards a particular candidate. From this point forward, Rasmussen Reports considers results with leaners the primary indicator of the race.

This contest continues to be a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.

Results before leaners are added show Fiorina with a 47% to 42% lead over Boxer. Two weeks ago, the candidates were in a virtual tie when voters were asked their initial preference.

Since February, Boxer’s support has ranged from 42% to 49%. In those same surveys, Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, has earned 38% to 43% of the vote.

Seventy-four percent (74%) of Fiorina voters are already certain of how they will vote this November, as are 69% of those who support Boxer, a member of the Senate since 1993.

Let the television media wars begin.

I still cannot help but think that Carly is benefitting from Meg Whitman’s plethora of ads attacking Democrat Attorney General and former California Governor Jerry Brown.

This race will go down to the wire with Fiorina winning by 3 points as GOP, and anti-incumbent Decline to State turnout soars.

CA-Sen: Barbara Boxer and Maxine Waters Sitting in a Tree Supporting Their Own Family

California U.S. Senator and California Congresswoman Maxine Waters in July 2010

The old scratch my back and I will scratch yours and your family’s too trick.

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Chair of the Senate Ethics Committee, has paid some $30,000 since 2004 for the endorsement of embattled Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) in the context of a scheme that critics charge is unethical and amounts to Waters using her political station to benefit her family members.

According to the Washington Times, Waters “has turned political endorsements into a family business, using federal election laws to charge California candidates and political causes to include their names as her personal picks on a sample ballot, or ‘slate mailer,’ she sends to as many as 200,000 South Central Los Angeles voters.”

The slate mailer business, it turns out, is run by Waters’ daughter, Karen, via her public relations firm.  Records show that Karen Waters’ firm has been paid more than $350,000 since 2004, and has billed a further $82,000 since California’s June primary, for its services in this regard.

    Read the entire sordid piece.

But, what do you expect from career politicians living for decades on the public trough?

This will hurt Boxer in her race and Waters will be severely sanctioned for ethics violations when the GOP takes control of the House in January 2011.

General David Petraeus Should Leave The First Amendment Alone

Afghan protesters step on a U.S. flag during a demonstration against the United States, in Kabul, Afghanistan, Monday, Sept. 6, 2010. Hundreds of Afghans railed against the U.S. and called for President Barack Obama’s death at a rally in the capital Monday to denounce an American church’s plans to burn the Islamic holy book on 9/11.

General David Petraeus is probably right about the burning of the Koran stirring up the radical Islamic community. And, I do not advocate this type of behavior in the least. The church would be best NOT to do this.

The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan said the planned burning of Qurans on Sept. 11 by a small Florida church could put the lives of American troops in danger and damage the war effort.

Gen. David Petraeus said the Taliban would exploit the demonstration for propaganda purposes, drumming up anger toward the U.S. and making it harder for allied troops to carry out their mission of protecting Afghan civilians.

“It could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort,” Gen. Petraeus said in an interview. “It is precisely the kind of action the Taliban uses and could cause significant problems. Not just here, but everywhere in the world we are engaged with the Islamic community.”

Hundreds of Afghans attended a demonstration in Kabul on Monday to protest the plans of Florida pastor Terry Jones, who has said he will burn copies of Islam’s holy book to mark the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Afghan protesters chanted “death to America,” and speakers called on the U.S. to withdraw its troops. Some protesters threw rocks at a passing military convoy.

    So, I agree with John.

But, military commanders advising Americans on their First Amendment rights is troubling to me – deeply troubling and is unacceptable. General Petraeus is in Afghanistan to fight for American freedoms and support the United States Constitution not to subvert them.

Next, will the General say that I am endangering Americans for printing this cartoon of Mohammed?

I mean there were world-wide protests and loss of lives because of radical Islam’s insistence that there not be any criticism of Mohammed or his image depiction.

But, you see, the United States Constitution guarantees my right to publish this cartoon and to discuss it. No military general and certainly no politician or government authority can take away this right.

The Afghanistan War has not been going well and President Obama has been struggling with its mission. Hence, General Petraeus has been sent to essentially clean up the mess.

I would recommend that General Petraeus concentrate less on narrowing American’s rights and more on finding and neutralizing radical Islamic terrorists that wish me, my family, my fellow Americans and American troops harm.
