Barbara Boxer,  Carly Fiorina

CA-Sen Poll Watch: Carly Fiorina 48% Vs. Barbara Boxer 47%

Republican Nominee Carly Fiorina and California Democrat Senator Barbara Boxer

This race continues as a dead heat.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters, including leaners, shows Fiorina picking up 48% of the vote, while Boxer draws support from 47%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) remain undecided.

These numbers show a slight shift from results with leaners found two weeks ago, when Boxer led Fiorina 49% to 44%. Leaners are those who initially indicate no preference for either of the candidates but answer a follow-up question and say they are leaning towards a particular candidate. From this point forward, Rasmussen Reports considers results with leaners the primary indicator of the race.

This contest continues to be a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.

Results before leaners are added show Fiorina with a 47% to 42% lead over Boxer. Two weeks ago, the candidates were in a virtual tie when voters were asked their initial preference.

Since February, Boxer’s support has ranged from 42% to 49%. In those same surveys, Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, has earned 38% to 43% of the vote.

Seventy-four percent (74%) of Fiorina voters are already certain of how they will vote this November, as are 69% of those who support Boxer, a member of the Senate since 1993.

Let the television media wars begin.

I still cannot help but think that Carly is benefitting from Meg Whitman’s plethora of ads attacking Democrat Attorney General and former California Governor Jerry Brown.

This race will go down to the wire with Fiorina winning by 3 points as GOP, and anti-incumbent Decline to State turnout soars.

The Republicans are so funny, when the economy is good you say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. When most Americans (with Latin America roots) go to the polls this November we will remember that the GOP has gone on a nationwide rant in proposing and passing several anti-immigration legislation (that our US Courts continue to strike down) and have continue to blame the immigrant for the flat economy or worse. We will remember who stands with us and who stands against us, so trying to stop it now is somewhat funny, but go ahead, you will not change our minds. Plus the more radical of the GOP are now attacking our Constitution and our Bill of Rights, in a misguided attempt to garner some much needed votes, they really are fools, and leading the GOP towards obscurity because they are no longer a party of ideas, just of empty suits. Your hate made you do it, in November; you will reap what you have sown. I wonder what Abraham Lincoln would say about todays GOP, he unlike the current GOP was a man of ideas.

Time for some ‘New Blood” in California. Seems that Boxer is now a millionair also and the state of California is now broke. You had your chance Barb and it has failed, except for your own bank account. You have run business’s out of the state when we needed this revenue and you blame everyone else but yourself. You can now join the unemployment line like the rest of us!

“just empty suits” Let’s take Boxer’s intelligence vs. Carly’s shall we. Let’s take who was in business with business experience? Who worked her way up and I mean way up without being given anything to be a CEO of a 100 company? Who has made it on their own without a husband’s money to make their own money? Who speaks better in front of an audience? As far as anti illegal immigration Benito, yes we do believe in coming here legally, something the Mexicans have no interest in. Their unskilled, leaf blowers who believe they don’t need to follow our most basic laws, because guys like you say it’s okay. Legal Mexicans are great and welcome but illegals need to vamoose out of here and take their anchor kids with them. Did I spell vamoose correctly Benito…how bout get the hell out of here and get in line you illegals.
