Jerry Brown,  Meg Whitman

CA-Gov Field Poll: Brown 41% Vs Whitman 41% Vs Undecided 18%

Pollster’s interactive California Governor’s Poll with Meg Whitman 45.9% Vs. Jerry Brown 44.4% on average

After all of the $million spent by Meg Whitman, the Republican and, Jerry Brown, the Democrat this race is tied – a dead heat. The venerable California Field Poll in pdf format is here.

There are really no surprises in the cross-tabs.

I think this race is going to come down to the enthusiasm factor rather than paid television media in the weeks before the race. In this, Meg Whitman should have the edge, since voters are angry and angry voters VOTE.

The democrats are extremely motivated, too. The majority of independents want someone who can give Ca. a strong fuutre. Californians face a choice between an experienced governor and an inexperienced billionaire who’s two most important policies have already failed. She wants to use grand juries to find, waste fraud and abuse – Arnie already tried this with auditors and said there wasn’t much waste, fraud and abuse. Whitman’s other plank is to cut state revenues 5 billion dollars by getting rid of tax on stock sales etc. which encourages speculation, but she has no way to make up the lost revenues, so she is just castrating the state and driving us all into the poor house. Why is she running for governor, anyway? She has never been interested in government and doesn’t know the first thing about running the state. She has never even been mayor of a small town. Brown has no political ambitions. After being governor, he will retire his only legacy will be putting Ca on the right track which he accomplished before.

What blows me away is that the media copletely ignores what a failure Arnold has been as a governor. He promised to get rid of the Ca. debt and bring back film production and he has doubled the debt. He is a terrible governor, nice guy, but a terrible governor.

What blows me away is that the media completely ignores what a failure Arnold has been as a governor. He promised to get rid of the Ca. debt which was 20 billion when her got into office; now, it’s 59 billion. He let Enron steal 9 billion from us before it bankrupt. He let the state infrastructure fall apart. He promised to reclaim more federal tax dollars for Ca. but he couldn’t get anything from Bush. He promised to make Sacramento work again but he has let the minority block the budget for 86 days, so small business owner have to wait for checks. The He is a terrible governor and a total failure. And Whitman wants to be just like him. Yuck. Why can’t the Republicans come up with a decent candidate. Where is Ike Eisenhower?

The reason we need Meg Whitman is on so many fronts, the main one and the most important one is her commitment to small business. Companies are leaving this state in droves as it just cost to damn much to live and work here. Why would a business pay a worker 20 – 25% more money, pay a lot more taxes, have a lot more regulatory just to have sunshine and surf? There are too many states now that are way more business friendly that also have a great human resources and cost way less money.

California is losing its upper middle class and will continue to do so under liberal ideals. companies are not going to pay a guy 150K to live in irvine when they can have the same guy for 100K in dallas (why would they), as those jobs leave (which they are and they will continue to leave as companies tighten their belts), our real estate will continue to fall, more defaults on loans ect.

Is it a shock that Texas is taking all our good jobs? it is a shock that they are not facing unemployment, falling property values, no we are our own worst enemy. WE ARE A BANKRUPT STATE our way DOES NOT WORK!!! Cut taxes, cut regulation, make small business growth in CA the number 1 thing we do!! Business does not create commerce to save whales, trees, forrest (all great things) however having food and a roof over your head are a hell of a lot better.

We should interview the top 1000 companies that have left the state and ask them the following:

    1. Why did you leave?
    2. would you now pay the 20% more to come back?

    answer 1 = regulation, cost
    answer 2 = No

Nobody leaves here cause they want to, great climate, great people, lots of things to do ect ect ect. People leave because of their responsibilities. Either to their shareholders, their employees (ie keeping the doors open) or their own family as they just afford to live here. Now our typical liberal response is (oh let them leave we don’t need them anyway) well YES we do need them, we need jobs, good jobs.
