That’s probably a good idea Dr. Flap. Judging from the responses you’ve gotten. You take yourself and Dentistry way too seriously. The video was made in jest and to have fun. Judging from the responses (many from Dentists and Dental Students) and the 126,000 views in a month, most are enjoying it.
I love this video. I thought it was well done and though it might not be for everyone I give Dr. Glassman credit for putting it out there. It’s real simple. If you don’t like the video you don’t have to watch it. I think the personal attacks on Dr. Glassman are unprofessional and childish.
I suggest you see the comments over at You Tube, if you think my comments are bad.
Here are a couple:
“As a current dental student, I am shocked that any professional allowed this to take place in their office or choose to be a part of it. I would almost consider reporting this to the ADA. Dentistry is not, nor should it ever be represented as a? joke.”
“A practical joke. I work in a dental office and I must say? I’m appalled by this video. What were they thinking?”
I have seen the comments. Everyone has an opinion and that’s fine. I just think it goes above and beyond when you start getting personal by calling him a “smart-ass self-promoting moron who happens to be a dentist.” Do you even know Dr. Glassman? Have you ever spoken to him? Are you basing your opinion of the man on a 3 minute video that was meant to be funny and not taken seriously? I would hope not.
