Hillary Clinton Watch: Totally Obliterating Credibility

Michael Ramirez on Hillary Clinton “Totally Obliterating Iran”

News Item: Clinton says U.S. could “totally obliterate” Iran

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton warned Tehran on Tuesday that if she were president, the United States could “totally obliterate” Iran in retaliation for a nuclear strike against Israel.

On the day of a crucial vote in her nomination battle against fellow Democrat Barack Obama, the New York senator said she wanted to make clear to Tehran what she was prepared to do as president in hopes that this warning would deter any Iranian nuclear attack against the Jewish state.

“I want the Iranians to know that if I’m the president, we will attack Iran (if it attacks Israel),” Clinton said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them,” she said.

“That’s a terrible thing to say but those people who run Iran need to understand that because that perhaps will deter them from doing something that would be reckless, foolish and tragic,” Clinton said.

Hillary was and is pandering to Jewish voters in Pennyslvania, Florida and New York. Who is she trying to kid?

HRC has no credibility on the right and the left thinks she is a sabre-rattler and warmonger.

North Korea Nuclear Watch: Syrian Plutonium Reactor Close to Completion

    syria nuclear reactor

These satellite images, taken August 5, 2007 (Top) and October 24, 2007 (Bottom), show a suspected nuclear facility in Syria.

North Korea made a deal with the United States to disable their nuclear weapon facilities so they “OUTSOURCED” them.

The Bush administration will tell Congress tomorrow that a nuclear facility in Syria built with North Korean help was nearly complete when Israel bombed it in September, and that Pyongyang has not provided any further nuclear assistance to the hard-line Arab nation, at least at that site, U.S. officials said.

CIA Director Michael V. Hayden and other intelligence officials are expected to brief several congressional committees in closed-door sessions, breaking the administration’s silence on the issue.

The Syrian facility has become a key issue in six-nation negotiations to end the North’s nuclear programs.

“The belief is that the reactor was nearing completion,” said one official familiar with the content of the briefings. “It would have been able to produce plutonium.”

Another official said that the facility in Syria was similar to North Korea’s main nuclear complex at Yongbyon, which has been almost disabled by U.S. experts.

Both programs were based on technology to produce plutonium, a man-made element that is the most common ingredient used to make the fissile core of atomic bombs.

Thank God, Israel bombed the facility. How did Israel and the United States know?

They had the North Koreans on tape.

A video taken inside a secret Syrian facility last summer convinced the Israeli government and the Bush administration that North Korea was helping to construct a reactor similar to one that produces plutonium for North Korea’s nuclear arsenal, according to senior U.S. officials who said it would be shared with lawmakers today.

The officials said the video of the remote site, code-named Al Kibar by the Syrians, shows North Koreans inside. It played a pivotal role in Israel’s decision to bomb the facility late at night last Sept. 6, a move that was publicly denounced by Damascus but not by Washington.

Sources familiar with the video say it also shows that the Syrian reactor core’s design is the same as that of the North Korean reactor at Yongbyon, including a virtually identical configuration and number of holes for fuel rods. It shows “remarkable resemblances inside and out to Yongbyon,” a U.S. intelligence official said. A nuclear weapons specialist called the video “very, very damning.”

But, one has to wonder about negotiating with the North Koreans, now don’t we?

Remember former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright from the Bill Clinton Administration? See what appeasement buys one?

    Trust but verify.

Now, what about the Iranians? Sanctions REALLY persuaded the North Koreans, right?

Michael Ramirez on Jimmy Carter negotiating with Hamas

News Item: Carter: Hamas is willing to accept Israel as its neighbor

Hamas, a militant Islamic group that both the U.S. and Israel consider a terrorist organization, calls in its charter for Israel’s destruction. It has also traditionally opposed peace negotiations with the Jewish state.

Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, later said Carter’s comments “do not mean that Hamas is going to accept the result of the referendum.”

Carter’s comments came after his much criticized meetings with the top Hamas leaders in Syria in last week.

Former President Jimmy Carter has NO standing or credibility in these “talks” with the terrorist organization Hamas.

Shouldn’t Hillary and Obama repudiate him as Israel has?

Shocker: Iran Threatens To Eliminate Israel

Michael Ramirez on Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

New Item: Iran Threatens to Eliminate Israel

Iran will eliminate Israel if it attacks the Islamic Republic, Iran’s deputy army chief warned Tuesday in words conjuring up Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s threats to wipe Israel off the map.

“Should Israel take any action against Iran, we will eliminate Israel from the scene of the universe,” Gen. Muhammad Reza Ashtiani said in Teheran on Tuesday.

Ashtiani’s statement followed Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer’s comment last week warning Iran that any attack on Israel would result in the “destruction of the Iranian nation.”

Ashtiani claimed Israel was “very vulnerable” and dismissed allegations that Iran was worried about Israeli maneuvers.

And, let’s see Iran President Ahmadinejad says Britain, Israel and the United States are to disappear as the Pharaohs. Yet, the United Nations writes meaningless sanction resolutions and the uranium enrichment centrifuges continually spin at Natanz.

One of these days, someone in the world will take Iranian threats seriously.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Israel – Iran Moving Forward with Nuclear Weapons

Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (L) and German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrive for a news conference following their talks in the Chancellery in Berlin February 12, 2008. Olmert said on Tuesday that all options should be considered in international efforts aimed at preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Iran is developing ever sophisticated ballistic missiles and is stepping up uranium enrichment for supposedly peaceful energy generating purposes. Does anyone REALLY believe that Iran is NOT secretly developing nuclear weapons?

    Well, apparently NOT Israel.

Israel’s prime minister on Tuesday brushed aside suggestions that the threat from Iran’s nuclear program has receded, saying he remains convinced that Tehran is “moving forward” with plans for an atomic weapon.

A U.S. intelligence report in December found Tehran had halted its program in 2003. However, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told reporters that “nothing that we know has changed our attitude on this issue.”

“Tell me, why does Iran need enriched uranium at a time when they are supplied by (the) Russians the nuclear fuel for the civilian projects? … What else do they plan for which they need the most sophisticated ballistic missiles?”

President Bush has “PUNTED” the Iran nuclear issue to the next President with the December NIE. But, Israel has their very existence at stake.

This issue will be debated and stalled in the IAEA and UNSC but will be on the front burner for the next President in February 2009.

    Stay tuned……

Iran Nuclear Watch: Will Israel Strike Iran?

Machines produce uranium hexafluoride (UF6) at the uranium conversion facilities in Isfahan, Iran. Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shaul Mofaz has called for Mohamed ElBaradei to be removed as head of the UN nuclear watchdog, saying he had turned a blind eye to archfoe Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

The United States and Israel are done with El Baradei and the United Nations. The question is NOT IF but WHEN Israel with help from the United States strikes Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Ahmadinejad Boasts of 3,000 Uranium Enrichment Centrifuges

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivers a speech during a visit the Natanz uranium enrichment facility some 300 kms, south of the capital Tehran, in April. Iran has built a landmark 3,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment, Ahmadinejad announced 07 November 2007, despite international pressure to halt its atomic work.

If Ahmadinejad is to be believed, Iran NOW possesses the capability of producing a nuclear weapon within a year.

Will the United States continue to fiddle around with economic sanctions?  Or will Israel ACT?

    Smart Iran Bomb?

FOX News: Iran Vows to Use ‘Smart’ Bomb Against Enemies

Iran vowed Sunday to use a new 2,000-pound “smart” bomb against its enemies and unveiled mass production of the new weapon, state television reported.

The government first announced development of the long-range guided bomb Thursday, saying it could be deployed by the country’s aging U.S.-made F-4 and F-5 fighter jets.

“We will use these (bombs) against our enemies when the time comes,” Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said on state television Sunday.

Iran often announces new weapons for its arsenal, but the United States maintains that while the Islamic Republic has made some strides, many of these statements are exaggerations.

The broadcast included a brief clip of a fighter jet apparently dropping one of the bombs, which destroyed a target on the ground.

The defense minister continued his threats as state television showed him unveiling a mass production line for the weapon in Tehran. …

Emanuel Winston, a Middle East analyst at the Houston-based Freeman Center for Strategic Studies, said Thursday that Iran’s smart bomb claim sounded “plausible” but said that it would be less dangerous than a missile development program given the limited range of the country’s aircraft.

So SMART Ahmadinejad may have ALERTED France to Iran’s threat to Europe and their neighbors, including Israel.

Michael Ramirez on Hamas and the Destruction of the Palestinian State

    ramireztoon061907cweb

Hamas accuses West of playing politics with aid

US and Israeli leaders pledged Tuesday to support the emergency Palestinian cabinet in the
West Bank, as Hamas accused the West of playing politics with aid after the Islamist group ousted its rivals from Gaza.

US President George W. Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert both gave strong backing to the cabinet appointed by moderate president Mahmud Abbas after Hamas’s takeover of Gaza as they held their third Washington talks in barely a year.

Bush said he hoped Abbas and his new US-educated prime minister Salam Fayyad “will be strengthened to the point where they can lead the Palestinians in a different direction.”

Olmert said: “I want to strengthen the moderates and cooperate” with Abbas, and raised the prospect of an easing of security controls in the occupied West Bank as well as the release of hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenues owed to the Palestinian Authority.

Hamas still refuses to recognize Abbas’s dismissal of the national unity government it led until last Thursday and accused the West of trying to manipulate Palestinian public opinion.

“By announcing their political and financial support for the Palestinian Authority, the West is backing an illegitimate government,” Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri charged.

Western support for Fayyad’s government was “an attempt to manipulate the Palestinian people and distance it from Hamas,” he said, adding that the strategy would not work.

Hamas’s seizure of Gaza after vicious street battles with Fatah loyalists that left more than 110 people dead has driven a deep wedge in Palestinian society.

So, Hams complains about playing politics?

    Good Grief…….

Israel Watch: Israeli War with Hamas Inevitable?

    hamasjune16aweb

A Palestinian miltant from Hamas stands guard in front of a mural showing the late Fatah leader Yasser Arafat outside his former compound and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ office that was taken over two days ago by Hamas, in Gaza City, Saturday, June 16, 2007. The United States strengthened its offer of support for President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday, telling him an international aid embargo against the Palestinians would end as soon as he forms a new government without Hamas, aides to Abbas and a Western diplomat said.

    Israel plans attack on Gaza

ISRAEL’s new defence minister Ehud Barak is planning an attack on Gaza within weeks to crush the Hamas militants who have seized power there.

According to senior Israeli military sources, the plan calls for 20,000 troops to destroy much of Hamas’s military capability in days.

The raid would be triggered by Hamas rocket attacks against Israel or a resumption of suicide bombings.

Barak, who is expected to become defence minister tomorrow, has already demanded detailed plans to deploy two armoured divisions and an infantry division, accompanied by assault drones and F-16 jets, against Hamas.

Israel cannot tolerate an active terrorist Hamas on its border.

And who is responsible for encircling Israel, america’s ally in the Global War on Terror with aggressive terrorist supporting states – Hezbollah in the North and Hamas in the West and Syria?

    Why, Iran.
