President 2012: Fox News and Sarah Palin Have a Meeting

Donald Trump makes a point as he walks with former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin in New York City as they make their way to a scheduled meeting Tuesday, May 31, 2010

Everyone knows this was going to happen soon. Fox News is telling Sarah Palin to either fish (run for the Presidency) or cut bait (say she isn’t and resume her commentary and her contract with Fox News.)

Sarah Palin met with officials at Fox News in midtown Manhattan for over an hour on Wednesday.

After checking out of her Jersey City hotel earlier in the day for the fourth day of her “One Nation” bus tour, Palin told a gaggle of reporters that she was en route to Boston, but added: “I’m going to go talk to my bosses at Fox first, here, though. If we can make our way through the city in a big old bus.”

Palin’s bus was later parked outside Fox’s New York headquarters for about 90 minutes around lunchtime.

It was not clear with whom Palin met, but the visit comes on the heels of a New York Magazine report that Fox News chairman Roger Ailes believes Palin is “an idiot.” Fox denied that account.

The meeting also comes amid speculation about the limits of Palin’s Fox contract, which reportedly guarantees her $1 million a year through 2012.

I think she has about 30 days before Roger Ailes gives Palin the 60 day public warning, like he gave Newt and Santorum. Although, he might have given her the 60 day warning today.

In any case, Palin has to be in or out of the Presidential race by the 4th of July.

If she travels to Iowa and/or South Carolina in that bus, I think it pretty much says she is a go.

Updated: Video: Keith Olbermann Says Conservative S.E. Cupp Demonstrates the Necessity of Planned Parenthood

    +++++Update+++++

Keith “I am a Moron” Olbermann cannot leave his assinine remarks about S. E. Cupp and Planned Parenthood alone.

Last Thursday, future Current TV host Keith Olbermann touched off some controversy when he tweeted, about conservative pundit S.E. Cupp, “On so many levels she’s a perfect demonstration of the necessity of the work Planned Parenthood does”

After several days of Twitter fighting, and online buttals and rebuttals, Olbermann has opted to make non-factual statements about his intent, rather than simply to apologize.

    Here are the tweets:

Pot calling the kettle black without a doubt. Watch the video below and the original post and I think you will agree.

S.E. Cupp and Jerry Springer on the Joy Behar show

Keith Olbermann is always the master of class.

The leviathan of all things wise, former MSNBC host and Current TV’s chief news officer Keith Olbermann, tried to cover his tracks Thursday afternoon after implying on Twitter that he wished Planned Parenthood had prevented conservative pundit S.E. Cupp’s birth.

“On so many levels she’s a perfect demonstration of the necessity of the work Planned Parenthood does RT @meow_6 #worstpersons S.E Cupp bashing PP on Joy Behar last nite. http://j.mp/hktGUX,” Olbermann posted.

Upon receiving a number of negative reactions, Olbermann revisited his sentiment, bringing the current debate about the actual work of Planned Parenthood into the mix and an ad hominem attack at Arizona Republican Senator John Kyl for good measure.

“.@oakdogg I said no such thing. Only 3% of PP’s work is abortions. Unless you’re moron Jon Kyl,” he posted, referring to Kyl’s exaggeration that 90 percent of Planned Parenthood’s business was abortions.

The more he backed away, the more evident the tenor of his original posting – that he wished S.E. Cupp had never been born.

“@JonesNetIT I never mentioned abortion. I said her parents could have used counseling by PP rather than get the results they did,”Olbermann wrote, adding, ”@maggiefanelli no, I insinuated her parents would’ve helped the earth had they consulted PP for birth control.”

Here is the tweet that started the flap:

Well, Olbermann is a MORON and what do you really expect? He fits right in there with the equally moronic Al Gore at the Current television operation.

But, what equally shameful was the conduct of Jerry Springer (also a lefty, but an older one) who continued to make make faces and condescending remarks while S.E. Cupp was making her point (see the video above).

    Shame on you too, Jerry.

Update: Chris Schauble Now a News Anchor at KTLA: WTF Happened to KNBC News Anchor Chris Schauble?

Chris Schauble says WTF live on NBC, Los Angeles

A good move for Chris since being demoted by KNBC News last year. Guess it took a while for his contract to run its course.

Anchor Frank Buckley (right) is scaling back his hours on KTLAs morning newscast and Chris Schauble (far right), most recently an anchor-reporter with KNBC, is taking his place in the early half of the show.

Starting next Monday, Ill no longer be anchoring the 5-7am hours of the KTLA Morning News and a new guy will be in the anchor chair, Buckley announced in a blog post today on KTLAs website. I was asked to fill in on the 5 and 6am broadcasts on a temporary basis after the departure of our friend Emmett Miller in October. We thought it would last a month or two. Its now March.

Buckley will continue appearing on the newscast between 7 and 10 a.m.

Schauble has been anchoring KNBCs weekend evening newscasts and working as a reporter throughout the week.

I met Chris last year at the Los Angeles Marathon Expo at Dodger Stadium. The Expo will be coming up next week and will look out for him there. I do know he is running the marathon this year.

Now, if we can ONLY get Elita Loresca to make the move.

    Update:

I understand that Chris will not be running the Los Angeles Marathon this year due to an injury. But, here is video of Chris competing at the 2010 Ford Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kona, Hawai.

Video: Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman to Chris Matthews – “You’re Completely Uninformed”

Does anyone wonder why Chris Matthews and MSNBC have such low ratings? If Matthews who once was a speech writer for President Jimmy carter wants to spin to the LEFT at least get the facts straight.

The issue here is whether Wisconsin Governor is rewarding certain unions (the one’s that supported him in the last election) and punishing others that are primarily Democratic Party supporters. The answer IS that not too many unions, even the police and fire ones supported Governor Walker.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews tried Monday to push the liberal media meme that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker exempted police and firefighters from his budget repair plan because their unions endorsed him in last November’s election.

“Well one more time you’re completely uninformed,” replied Republican State Senator Glenn Grothman who then proceeded to tell the facts to the obviously clueless “Hardball” host.

I guess Chris Matthews has an incompetent staff or wait for it…….they are BIASED.

Particularly since Governor Walker was on CBS stating the obvious:

But, if you don’t believe Governor Walker than there is the dfinitive answer – GOOGLE.

    Or Politifact:

During the campaign last November, leaders of the Milwaukee Professional Firefighters Association and Milwaukee Police Association appeared in an ad supporting Walker and blasting his opponent, Democrat Tom Barrett. Walker also won endorsements from the West Allis Professional Police Association and the Wisconsin Troopers Association

Walker didn’t get the endorsements of two statewide unions, the Wisconsin Professional Police Association and the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, which both backed Barrett.

For the record, the governor told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the charge that he was exempting police and firefighters was “ridiculous.” He said he didn’t recommend changing the rules for police officers and firefighters because he didn’t want public safety work disrupted.

We then contacted the Wisconsin Professional Police Association, the statewide union that endorsed Walker’s opponent last year. Executive director Jim Palmer said the statewide organization is much larger than the local Milwaukee police union that endorsed Walker. The state group has approximately 11,000 members versus Milwaukee’s roughly 1,400, he said.

Similarly, the state firefighters association has more than 3,000, compared with the Milwaukee union’s 875.

Nice try Chris Matthews and MSNBC but your facts smell as does your commentary.

Shocker: Sexy Television News Anchors Distract Male Viewers

Elita Loresca from KNBC Los Angeles

    Well, this is understandable, no?

Scholars, critics and viewers have noted that some TV newscasts can be momentarily mistaken for Victoria’s Secret specials. In an apparent attempt to capture channel-surfing male viewers, stations have hired attractive female anchors, often outfitting them in attire that emphasizes their sexuality.

This strategy may boost the ratings, but in terms of the programs’ purported purpose — informing the public — recent research suggests it has a definite down side. Males may be drawn to those alluring anchors, but they may not remember what they were talking about.

But, then again, sometimes who cares?

Yeah, I know, another cheap attempt to boost traffic by posting photos of Elita Loresca.

Video: It’s Over Man: Keith Olbermann’s Final MSNBC Sign-Off

Keith Olbermann announced on the air tonight that “Countdown” will not return to MSNBC thus making this evening’s broadcast his final one. This is his last sign-off with thanks to his entire staff and a dramatic reading.

And, NBC has released the following statement via press release.

“MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC’s success and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Looks to me like Comcast, the new owners on NBC and MSNBC, might be trying to clean up the Left-leaning sewer which is known in the cable television business as MSNBC.

Oh and Keith – don’t let the door hit you in the ass when you leave 30 Rock, ok?
