John McCain Watch: Steve Schmidt Goes “Nuclear” on New York Times

McCain Campaign Manager Steve Schmidt On New York Times Bias

The impetus of this blow-up was the NYT-Rick Davis piece about his lobbying activities. But, the blow-up was inevitable. The fact is the New York Times, NBC News, Newsweek and others have become pro-Obama mouthpieces – ” 150% in the tank.”

A fair shake from the MSM for John McCain?

    What an illusion…..

By the way, do you think the NYT will investigate David Axelrod’s involvement in the Sarah Palin smear campaign?

    Hahaha

    Update:

Flap wonders what the media would do if the McCain campaign declared the New York Times and NBC News persona non grata and kicked them off the Team McCain airplane? And, would refuse to entertain ANY interview requests or answer questions from any of their reporters?

    Just wondering……

Sarah Palin Watch: Why Readers Should Continue to Dump Us Magazine Tanning Bed Edition

    sarah-palin-tanning-bed

Us Magazine is up to it again – Palin Derangement Syndrome. Who cares whether Sarah Palin has a tanning bed, paid for by her own money, in her residence?

Now, Flap has had his bout with skin cancer and highly recommends Governor Plain discontinue the use of the tanning bed, but it is certainly not an earth shattering revelation unless you want to nit pick. The track record of Us magazine is clear and it has created subscription problems for them.

Apparently the Us Magazine editors simply don’t care.

Remember why readers were dumping Us Magazine?

    Just do it…….

Peggy Noonan LIES to Readers and Then Tries to Redeem Herself

Two conservative commentators on MSNBC, after they’re off the air, say what they really think about the Sarah Palin veep choice.

After yesterday’s gaffe filtered through the internets back to Peggy Noonan, she issued an apologia of sorts on top of her Wall Street Journal column.

Sorry, Peggy but your credibility is now zero.

Perhaps you should take the advice of Laura Ingraham who this morning on her radio show suggests you get out of Manhattan and stop attending the New York elite cocktail parties.

    Ouch……

As far as Michael Murphy – good luck on your new career at NBC News. You fit in perfectly.

Sarah Palin Poll Watch: 51 Per Cent Say Reporters Trying to Hurt Palin

    sarahpalinpostspeechherway

In a survey completed before last night’s speech delivered at the Republican National Convention, over one half of United States voters (51 %) think reporters are trying to hurt Sarah Palin with their news coverage and 24% say those stories make them more likely to vote for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in November.

    The question:

Are most reporters trying to help Sarah Palin, hurt Sarah Palin, or provide unbiased coverage of Sarah Palin?

    • Help – 5%
    • Hurt – 51%
    • Provide Unbiased Coverage – 35%
    • Not sure – 10%

Eighty percent (80%) of Republicans say reporters are trying to hurt the GOP vice presidential nominee, and 28% of Democrats agree. Only six percent (6%) of Republicans – and even fewer Democrats (4%)– think the reporting is intended to help her. Most Democrats (57%) think the reporters are being unbiased, but just nine percent (9%) of Republicans concur.

Among unaffiliated voters, 49% say reporters are trying to hurt Palin, while 32% say their coverage is unbiased. Only five percent (5%) say reporters are trying to help her.

The blowback against the outrageous conduct of the media just started yesterday before this survey could fully measure the response.

The first goal of Team McCain will be to knock down these obviously over the top allegations about Palin and then move on to the media.

Kill the allegations and then kill the alligators…….

    Stay tuned……

Sarah Palin Watch: News Organizations “On a Mission To Destroy”

    sarahpalinfeedingfrenzy

The Sarah Palin media “feeding frenzy’ has reached crescendo levels and now Team McCain and the GOP are pushing back.

Sen. John McCain’s top campaign strategist accused the news media Tuesday of being “on a mission to destroy” Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin by displaying “a level of viciousness and scurrilousness” in pursuing questions about her personal life.

In an extraordinary and emotional interview, Steve Schmidt said his campaign feels “under siege” by wave after wave of news inquiries that have questioned whether Palin is really the mother of a 4-month-old baby, whether her amniotic fluid had been tested and whether she would submit to a DNA test to establish the child’s parentage.

Arguing that the media queries are being fueled by “every rumor and smear” posted on left-wing Web sites, Schmidt said mainstream journalists are giving “closer scrutiny” to McCain’s little-known running mate than to Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

    Read Howard Kurtz’s entire piece.

But, what else is new? The traditional MSM news organizations are LEFT WING all of the time and are in the tank for the Democrat Party and Barack Obama. Remember the John Edward’s story that the MSM ignored for years? Even while Edwards was running for the Presidency?

This is not news but a fact.

Why does anyone think talk radio, Fox News and the RIGHT blogosphere developed?

The LEFT feels threatened by the McCain-Palin team and will do anything and everything to destroy them, including pursuading and perverting MSM news organizations to spread the smears.

Get used to it – more is coming.

    Here is an example:

Why is the Media in the Tank for John Edwards?

    JohnEdwardsLoveChild

Mickey Kaus answers the question besides the obvious answer of bias and illustrates the “double standard” especially at the Los Angeles Times which has instructed its bloggers to not write about the story.

In the meantime, John Edwards has NO comment and Fox News has interviewed the Beverly Hills security guard who intervened between John Edwards and the National Enquirer reporters.

Flap is waiting for the photos from the National Enquirer.

You know they are going to drop soon.

Will John Edwards continue to “stonewall” the flap or will he check himself into rehab?

Barack Obama Watch: You Are Just Too Good to Be True

    +++++ Update+++++

Ohio is not showing the love to Obama in this just released Ohio poll.

John McCain has opened a modest lead over Barack Obama in the key swing state of Ohio. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the Buckeye State shows McCain attracting 46% of the vote while Obama earns 40%. Last month and the month before McCain held a insignificant one-point lead over Obama.

The MSM, including the major television networks are in the tank, you say?

NBC News is unwatchable and the other networks are not much better.

    Gad………

Reporters Trying to Help Barack Obama Win?

    NYTimesRejectsMcCain

Rasmussen has a new poll today that shows the American public is increasingly believing that reporters are trying to help Barack Obama win the Presidency.

The belief that reporters are trying to help Barack Obama win the fall campaign has grown by five percentage points over the past month. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey found that 49% of voters believe most reporters will try to help Obama with their coverage, up from 44% a month ago.

Just 14% believe most reporters will try to help John McCain win, little changed from 13% a month ago. Just one voter in four (24%) believes that most reporters will try to offer unbiased coverage.

With the three television news anchors fawning over “The One” in Iraq and Europe is there any wonder?

As Flap said before NBC News is unwatchable. Either it is a flashback to Tim Russert time or it is Obamamania.

The blowback: More layoffs are forecast for the MSM, including the New York Times.
