Mentally Ill Vice President Inspired by Sarah Palin in Nicolle Wallace Novel

No love lost here from the former McCain-Palin campaign advisor, Nicolle Wallace.

Time: In the book, the vice presidential character, Tara Meyers, is completely unfit for her job.

Wallace: The idea of a mentally ill vice president who suffers in complete isolation was obviously sparked by the behaviors I witnessed by Sarah Palin. What if somebody who was ill-equipped for the office were to ascend to the presidency or vice presidency? What would they do? How long would it take for people to figure it out? I became consumed by this question.

Time: When you were working on the McCain campaign, what about Sarah Palin alarmed you so much?

Wallace: Well, first let me just say that the novel is by no means meant to build a case against Sarah Palin. However, to the extent that the people around [the fictional vice president] Tara watched in this troubled state of confusion, despair and helplessness as she flailed around – that was something I experienced. Palin vacillated between extraordinary highs on the campaign stage – she ignited more enthusiasm than our side had seen at any other point – to debilitating lows. She was often withdrawn, uncommunicative and incapable of performing even the most basic tasks required of her job as McCain’s running mate.

The decision to relocate debate prep from the campaign trail, which is where McCain did his prep, to Sedona, was to isolate her and help her overcome the shock of becoming an overnight celebrity. There certainly were discussions – not for long because of the arc the campaign took – but certainly there were discussions about whether, if they were to win, it would be appropriate for her to be sworn in.

It is obvious that Nicolle Wallace has some sort of vendetta against Sarah Palin. All of the crap after the 2008 campaign allegedly came from “leaks” from Wallace and Steve Schmidt.

Reportedly, Palin and Wallace are not speaking to one another. Why should they?

But, this business about Palin not being sworn into office, if the McCain-Palin ticket had won, is just spiteful B.S..

Kick LOSERS like Mark McKinnon Out of the GOP

Political strategist Mark McKinnon and Senator John McCain

Flap agrees with Dan Riehl on this one.

McKinnon’s piece in the Daily Backstabber is about enough to make me throw up in my mouth – not unlike McCain’s loser daughter, Meghan.

I say kick his ASS out and any Republican using his political consulting services should be denied party financial support.

Same goes for Nicolle Wallace also formerly of Bush and McCain – but that is another story.

Nicolle Wallace Defends Sarah Palin Over Anonymous McCain Campaign Staff Smears

    nicolle-wallace-on-today

Nicolle Wallace, former CBS political analyst and McCain campaign staffer assigned to Sarah Palin

On NBC’s Today Show, Nicolle Wallace lately of Team McCain and rumored to be behind the latest of Sarah Palin smears defends the Alaska Governor.

    Watch the video here.

The latest Flap started with these damning reports by Carl Cameron on the Bill O’Reilly Show.

    Key graph from Nicolle Wallace:

Calls the Alaska governor “perhaps the most un-diva politician I’ve ever seen,” and says all she ever saw Palin request was a diet soda.

Last night Bill O’Reilly offered Sarah Palin the opportunity to come on his show and defend herself. In the meantime, a long-time aide of Governor Palin lashed back at Palin’s critics.

Regarding another stinging criticism, Stapleton claims that the Fox News report Thursday — that quoted unnamed sources inside the now defunct McCain campaign, saying Palin didn’t know Africa is a continent — was taken out of context.

Stapleton says that during a briefing session, someone asked Palin to explain the McCain-Palin stance on an issue, and as she was responding, “in the middle, she said, ‘country of Africa’ and somebody instantly wrote it down, and said, ‘Oh, my God, she thinks it’s a country.'”

But Stapleton insists, “She knows it’s a continent. It was just a human mistake, just like Obama saying 57 states. I don’t think anyone ever doubted that Obama knows there are 50 states.”

Now, is the time for Senator John McCain to step up and defend Sarah Palin. All of these charges that she is an airhead shopaholic who meets campaign staffers in a towel are BS and he knows it.

Do the RIGHT thing, Senator McCain.

Sarah Palin is a Naked Airhead Shopaholic – According to Nicolle Wallace

    nicolle wallace

The McCain staffer whose fingerprints and DNA have been found on the knife in Sarah Palin’s back is former CBS political analyst Nicolle Wallace.

It has now been made public that Nicolle Wallace is one of the sources behind the Palin smears.  Wallace, a former Bush aid has been receiving protection and direction throughout this smear campaign from Rick Davis, John McCain 2008 Campaign Manager.  On November 4th, Nicolle Wallace contacted Fox News and Newsweek and falsely accused Governor Palin of purchasing additional wardrobe accessories, even after the $150,000 shopping spree revelation was made public.  Ms. Wallace has also been quoted on the record as saying, â€this campaign may do me in,”.  No wonder.

It has also been confirmed that the Palin smear campaign began before November 4th.  At least two weeks prior to election day, Wallace and close friend Rick Davis, decided that John McCain would not become elected President of the United States.  Fearful that the poorly managed campaign would prohibit them from obtaining any future high paying lobbyist or political positions (Davis resigned from his firm earlier this year at the request of Senator McCain), Wallace and Davis created an elaborate scheme to direct blame for the failed campaign towards Governor Palin, hoping to take attention away from their strategic errors.  Davis and Wallace were behind the decisions to hide Palin from the press, Palin’s make-over, the â€you can see Russia from Alaska” foreign policy argument and the over coaching Palin received prior to interviews.  The clothing purchases and coaching Palin received from Wallace and other campaign staff had all been approved by Mr. Davis.

Wallace and Davis are currently unemployed, although it has been reported that Davis has been receiving payments from Fannie and Freddie, acting as his single source of income.  Earlier this year John McCain demanded that Davis resign from his position as one of DC’s top lobbyists.  Many political observers believe that Davis permanently damaged his political career through his inability to successfully run a national campaign, which then forced Senator McCain to re-assign most of Mr. Davis’s duties as Campaign Manager to Steve Schmidt.  Davis was left with one single responsibility, support and direct the Vice Presidential nominee.

    Read the entire piece.

Flap would like Carl Cameron to interview Ms. Wallace about the substance of these charges and allow Governor Palin an opportunity to refute them.

Hell, either of them or their surrogates are welcome to come here and respond.

    Chances of THAT happening?

    Nihil…….

    Stay tuned…….
