Harry Reid: When Men Are Out of Work They Beat Up Their Wives More or Something

Nevada U.S. Senator and Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid in the Senate today
There is really NO EXCUSE for domestic violence in ANY CASE. But, Dingy Harry Reid agains makes an ass out of himself by saying vote for the Democrat jobs bill and kill two birds with one stone.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested Monday that domestic violence by men has increased due to U.S. joblessness.

Reid, speaking in the midst of a Senate debate over whether to pass a $15 billion package meant to spur job creation, appeared to argue that joblessness would lead to more domestic violence.

“I met with some people while I was home dealing with domestic abuse. It has gotten out of hand,” Reid said on the Senate floor. “Why? Men don’t have jobs.”

Reid said that the effects of joblessness on domestic violence were especially pronounced among men, because, Reid said, women tend to be less abusive.

“Women don’t have jobs either, but women aren’t abusive, most of the time,” he said.

“Men, when they’re out of work, tend to become abusive,” the majority leader added. “Our domestic crisis shelters in Nevada are jammed.”

Please, please the voters of Nevada must throw this idiot out of office this November.

Day By Day January 13, 2009 – Bar Mix

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Creating the “politically correct” ambience in the new bar environment is important in a new business enterprise. Senator Harry Reid with his “Negro dialect” talk will not win you many friends – unless they need you to pass health care entitlement expansion.

On the other hand, a big drinker like Senator Max Baucus who then will publicly show his inebriation on the floor of the U.S. Senate might be good marketing. But, you are correct in making sure he pays his bar tab up front and be sure to keep some of the ladies away.

    Then, there is Bill Clinton…….

Day By Day January 12, 2009 – Impressions

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Is there any doubt that Sam, the mother of Zed’s two daughter’s is staking her claim? The bar idea might work but somehow the ex-girlfriend investing in the enterprise is risky and I am not talking finance or business here.

Speaking about impressions, how about Harry Reid and Obama’s Negro dialect comment? The fallout continues and the Nevada GOP is licking their chops.

The question: Will there be any fallut in the Massachusett’s special U.S. Senate election next week?

Nevada Senator Harry Reid Calls President Obama “Light Skinned” and “With No Negro Dialect”

If Dingy Harry Harry was a Republican the Democrats and MSM would be yelling RACIST from the get go.

The top Democrat in the U.S. Senate apologized on Saturday for comments he made about Barack Obama’s race during the 2008 presidential bid and are quoted in a yet-to-be-released book about the campaign.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described in private then-Sen. Barack Obama as “light skinned” and “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” Obama is the nation’s first African-American president.

“I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments,” Reid said in a statement released after the excerpts were first reported on the Web site of The Atlantic.

“I was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of Barack Obama during the campaign and have worked as hard as I can to advance President Obama’s legislative agenda.”

Reid remained neutral during the bitter Democratic primary that became a marathon contest between Obama and then-Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, whom Obama tapped as the United States’ top diplomat after the election.

Reid’s comments are included in the book, obtained Saturday by The Associated Press and set to be published on Monday. “Game Change” was written by Time Magazine’s Mark Halperin and New York magazine’s John Heilemann.

But, this is only one of many foots in Dingy Harry’s mouth over the years.

    None too soon.

Poll Watch: Nevada Senator Harry Reid In Re-Election Trouble

Nevadans are NOT supporting Democrat Senate Majority leader Harry Reid for re-election next year, according to the latest polling.

The survey of 625 registered Nevada voters by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research suggests the promotional bombardment that Reid launched more than six weeks ago has yet to hit its target.

“I’d be worried,” said Michael Franz, an assistant professor at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, who studies political advertising. “I’d stop if I had aired ads for two or three weeks and it wasn’t moving the needle.”

According to the poll commissioned by the Review-Journal, 49 percent of respondents had an unfavorable opinion of Reid, while 13 percent were neutral.

“We’ve always said we will run an aggressive campaign that includes early television, and this is just the beginning,” said Reid campaign manager Brandon Hall. “Senator Reid is fighting to make Nevada stronger every day, and his leadership position is particularly important during these tough economic times. We’re confident that as voters begin to understand the clear choice between his leadership for Nevada and Republican candidates with no new ideas, they will ultimately decide that Nevada is best served by re-electing Senator Reid next November.”

Among nine Republican candidates vying to challenge Reid in November only three had support levels in double digits: businesswoman and former GOP official Sue Lowden, attorney and businessman Danny Tarkanian, and former Nevada assemblywoman Sharron Angle.

If the Republicans can unite behind a strong candidate, Senator Reid WILL be voted out of office next year.

And, it cannot happen too soon.
