McCain Owns Latest WMUR New Hampshire Poll Lead
The Mac is back – at least in this poll:
McCain 33, Romney 27, Giuliani 14, Huckabee 11, Paul 9
Poll was conducted January 4-5 with a 5 point margin of error.
Not a huge margin for McCain and Huckabee does not seem to be getting a bump from Iowa Caucus win.
Should these results hold up.
- Romney won’t be dealt a deathblow
- McCain won’t be jump-started
- Huckaboom in Iowa will be blamed on Evangelical demographics
- Rudy is Ok but wasted too much money coming in third
- Paul wasted a lot of money period
New Hampshire debate starting at the top of the hour on ABC.

Ron Paul Watch: Should Paul Be Invited to New Hampshire Debate?
Republican presidential hopeful Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) speaks during a taping of ‘Meet the Press’ in Washington December 23, 2007.
He will be a PERFECT foil for McCain, Giuliani, Huckabee and/or Romney.
Fox News is unmercifully generating BUZZ.

Ron Paul Watch: $20 Million But NO Love
The Politico makes the point that there are NO women among Ron Paul supporters – wonder why?Ron Paul hauls in #20 million for the 4th quarter 2007 but remains mired in single digits in most polls. Whereas Mike Huckabee who has raised only $5 million for the same quarter is leading in Iowa and second in the national GOP polls.
Does this validate the argument that money can’t buy you love?
Yes.
Campaign resources and a palpable candidate on the issues will get you in the arena. Paul’s outlandish, out of the mainstream views weigh him down.
Stay tuned…….

Ron Paul Watch: Paul Will Not Return Neo-Nazi/ White Supremacist Don Black’s Contribution
Well, Flap knew Ron Paul would not return Don Black of Stormfront.Org’s $500 donation weeks ago. But, listen to his myriad of excuses anyway:
Flap’s favorite:
- “Why give it (the money) back to him and use it for bad purposes.”
Is Ron Paul clueless that he is legitimizing this Neo-Nazi creep?
Ron Paul understands and will take their support. But, Paul is going to lose and lose big regardless of how much Jew-hating money he receives. And, Ron Paul associates with all of these types too:
Of course, Ron Paul is different. He sympathizes with the
American voters understand and marginalize this kind of behavior. For the other 5 per cent or so that support this CRANK, the question is WHY?

Ron Paul Watch: Paul Pays Former GOP Arkansas Lawmakers To Trash Mike Huckabee in Iowa
Republican presidential hopeful, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, responds during the Des Moines Register Republican Presidential Debate in Johnston, Iowa, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007.
Ron Paul is paying former Arkansas State Senator Jim Holt and former Arkansas State Representative Randy Minton $5,000 to NOT hype Ron Paul’s candidacy but trash talk Mike Huckabee in Iowa.Flap doesn’t believe that he has ever heard of direct payment by a campaign for a “NEGATIVE” surrogate attack. Or at least have the campaign admit it.
Paul’s campaign said Thursday it was paying former Sen. Jim Holt and former Rep. Randy Minton about $5,000 each to go to Iowa for a series of radio interviews criticizing Huckabee’s 10 1/2 years as Arkansas governor.
“We just want to make sure Iowans get the full picture of what Governor Huckabee did when he was in office,” said Paul’s campaign spokesman, Jesse Benton. “There hasn’t been a whole lot of information going out to Iowans and we want to make sure they get the full picture.”
Didn’t Flap mention a few months ago that Paul was going to do negative and enfarious campaign influencing with all of that money he has been raising? Paul NEVER had any intention to try to win this race. RP is playing “SPOILER.”
It is just starting folks.Who will Ron Paul try to sink in New Hampshire and South Carolina? And, he will continue until his $12 million or so is spent.
Wonder if Mitt Romney is chipping in?
Stay tuned…..

Ron Paul Watch: It Is About Votes
Republican presidential hopeful, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, signs an autograph for Scott Gilbert, of Des Moines, Iowa, during the Iowa Straw Poll, in Ames, Iowa on August 11, 2007
Sorry Patrick but Stuart Rothenberg has a more accurate portrayal of the Ron Paul campaign.
How can we explain Ron Paul? This is a big country with hundreds of millions of people, some of whom are attracted to quirky, anti-establishment candidates. And some of those people are angry, looking for an outspoken leader and searching for an easy answer to the nation’s problems.
But there simply are not all that many of them.
The Internet undoubtedly has made it easier for Paul supporters to connect with the campaign and with each other, and it’s become a terrific way to raise cash for a candidate with emotional followers. But Web chatter, declarations of undying support on Facebook and even surprising fundraising totals don’t make a serious contender out of a candidate from the political fringe.
It IS about VOTES.
Update:
And, THIS is just SLEAZY.

Ron Paul Watch: December 16 Money Bomb Turmoil?
Ron Paul unofficial fundraiser, Trevor Lyman has added an additional fundraising “MONEY BOMB” that has left some Ron Paul supporters disgruntled.
Apparently, Trevor Lyman has set up a new site for a new Ron Paul donation day “Money Bomb.” The new date is November 30th and the site has already attracted nearly 1,000 pledges as of this writing 11AM/EST. Another one remains scheduled for December 16th and has received close to 20,000 pledges.
The Nov 30th pledge site can be seen at rudysreadinglist.com.
The Dec 16th pledge site can be seen at teaparty07.com.
- This is such a dumbass idea. To split the event and cause confusion, are you guys retarded? the campaign didnt say that they were out of money, they just wanted to improve the flow. THEY HAVE OVER $10 Million to spend, they are not desperate. If we screw up this next money bomb by dividing it in two or three just because a few people overreacted, I am gonna flip. Does nobody realize that the media doesnt give two craps if we raise a million dollars every week for the next 10 weeks but tey will report non stop over the Christmas breal about Ron Paul raising $10 million in a day. The whole story will be how we did back to back record fundraising. Some people are so damn worried about lighting a sparkler that they forget that everybody comes for the finale. Stick to the plan and stop over thinking.
- too many moneybombs dilutes the media effect…better to just give as much as you can in next 3 weeks and unload on 12/16…id rather have the psycological impact of 10 million on 12-16 as opposed to 9.5…
- giving it a go is when you are doing something that doesnt really matter. Screwing up this drive that has been worked on for weeks, well, that just pisses off the people who have been talking to everyone and promising how huge the event will be. Do you know how hard it is to convert people when all they see from the campaign is disorganization, chicken little reactions and an overall plan that makes less sense. We billed this thing as the mother of all events and now after alot of people have spent time promoting it, we change the forecast of success. Its almost as bad as when we chipped in for an add and then the whole damn thing was changed and most of the people who paid were pissed. This sucks, we should have put it to a vote and let it be debated but no, a few people unilaterally are going to undermine the event that would have had the media talking and building anticipation for the three weeks before the primaries. The whole point was to get the media to be asking the question “What will Ron Paul do next”the answer, “who cares…all he did was repeat twice the same performance.”two five million money bombs does not equal 1 ten million bomb
From a commenter at the Free Market News:
BY: steve
I can not believe this. Why are you doing this? I am so ticked off people i am losing faith now in the Paul campaigns ability to run a campaign at all.December 16th was the perfect day to which the media could not spin our efforts the way they did on November 5th. this could have brought major attention to Ron Paul.
I have been busting my hump beating the streets and contacting people in with my business contacts and have gathered over 300 people prepared to donate on December 16th and guess what? After this talk about changing dates many of my people prepared to donate are now losing faith in the revolution. PEOPLE WE CAN NOT BE DIVIDED HERE, WE MUST STICK TO OUR PLANS AND STAY UNITED. WHY DO I HAVE PEOPLE THAT I WORKED TO GET INVOLVED WITH DR. PAUL NOW SAYING THEY DON’T WANT TO THROW AWAY THIER MONEY OR THIER VOTE.
THIS IS A LOAD OF CRAP AND IF THIS KEEPS UP WE ARE GOING TO LOSE ALL THAT WE HAVE WORKED FOR.
WHY IS THE CAMPAIGN INVOLVED NOW? WE HAVE RAISED MORE MONEY OURSELVES THAN THE CAMPAIGN HAS SO WHY ARE THEY DICTATING OUR EFFORTS?
I AM EXTREMELY UPSET ABOUT THIS PEOPLE.
What Flap wants to know is why the hurry? Or does the formal Ron Paul campaign just want “CONTROL”?
Although Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani are and have been “ON AIR” in New Hampshire with multiple spots, Ron Paul has NOT purchased very much air time on New Hampshire television.
Where is Ron Paul spending that $8.8 million he has raised this quarter? Not on WMUR-TV, the only statewide television station in New Hampshire. Thus far the Paul campaign’s ad buy there has been rather meager.
From October 29 (when he went up on the air) through November 18, Paul spent $55,800 at WMUR to air 66 thirty-second ads over those three weeks. That’s about a third as many as Mitt Romney has put up in a single week this month on WMUR.
Alot of confusion among the Ronulans as to when to donate.
Maybe they will ask the Ron Paul campaign where their money is going?
Stay tuned……

Anti-Defamation League to Ask Ron Paul to Distance Himself from Neo-Nazi Groups
When will Ron Paul have an answer to his Neo-Nazi problem?
The latest is that the Anti-Defamation League is asking Ron Paul to distance himself from the Neo-Nazi and White Supremacist groups that have donated and are supporting his candidacy for President.
The Anti-Defamation League plans to ask Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul to distance himself from extremist groups.Paul, a U.S. congressman from Texas, has come under fire for the support his campaign has enjoyed from leading white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups. His campaign reportedly has accepted a donation from Don Black, the owner of the white supremacist Web site Stormfront. Sites for several extremist groups also feature prominent links supporting Paul’s candidacy.ADL’s assistant director of civil rights, Steven Freeman, told JTA his organization planned to communicate with Paul privately and urge him to distance himself from those groups.”If he doesn’t do that, then we will decide what we’re going to say publicly about it,” Freeman said.
So far Paul’s campaign has taken the “We Don’t Judge Who Climbs Aboard the Love Train†approach. But, will this fly under increasing criticism outside the blogosphere?
Paul thus far has refused to return the campaign contribution from Black. In response to a question from a reporter for Reason magazine, a campaign spokesperson said, “If people who hold views that the candidate doesn’t agree with, and they give to us, that’s their loss.”The ADL previously has taken candidates to task for their ties to supremacist groups. Last year the organization slammed Larry Darby, a Democratic candidate for attorney general in Alabama, after he attended a meeting of the National Vanguard, a splinter group of the National Alliance. Darby was defeated.
Will the Anti-Defamation League picket Ron Paul events? Will they run their own ads in Iowa and New Hampshire?
Might the Anti-Defamation League picket and demonstrate outside his Texas based Congressional District office? A Texas Congressional District where Ron Paul may be having some trouble ahead should he decide to run for re-election.
Stay tuned……..

Ron Paul Watch: The Neo-Nazi Problem
Flap has discussed Ron Paul’s Neo-Nazi “JEW” problem on numerous occasions in these posts:
Today, Andrew Walden at the American Thinker has an exhaustive expose on the Ron Paul Neo-Nazi connection – among others:
When some in a crowd of anti-war activists meeting at Democrat National Committee HQ in June, 2005 suggested Israel was behind the 9-11 attacks, DNC Chair Howard Dean was quick to get behind the microphones and denounce them saying: “such statements are nothing but vile, anti-Semitic rhetoric.”
When KKK leader David Duke switched parties to run for Louisiana governor as a Republican in 1991, then-President George H W Bush responded sharply, saying, “When someone asserts the Holocaust never took place, then I don’t believe that person ever deserves one iota of public trust. When someone has so recently endorsed Nazism, it is inconceivable that someone can reasonably aspire to a leadership role in a free society.”
Ron Paul is different.
Of course, Ron Paul is different. He sympathizes with the
What is even more interesting is Ron Paul’s involvement with NUTTER Cindy Sheehan.
The ugly mishmash of hate groups backing Paul has a Sheehan connection as well. David Duke is a big Cindy Sheehan supporter eagerly proclaiming “Cindy Sheehan is right” after Sheehan said, “My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel.” Stormfront.org members joined Sheehan at her protest campout in Crawford, TX and posed with her for photos. Sheehan is also intimately associated with the Lew Rockwell libertarian website which has posted over 200 articles by Ron Paul as well as some “scholarly” 9-11 conspiracy theories.
Dear Congressman Paul:
Your Presidential campaign has drawn the enthusiastic support of an imposing collection of Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, Holocaust Deniers, 9/11 “Truthers†and other paranoid and discredited conspiracists.
Do you welcome- or repudiate – the support of such factions?
More specifically, your columns have been featured for several years in the American Free Press –a publication of the nation’s leading Holocaust Denier and anti-Semitic agitator, Willis Carto. His book club even recommends works that glorify the Nazi SS, and glowingly describe the “comforts and amenities†provided for inmates of Auschwitz.
Have your columns appeared in the American Free Press with your knowledge and approval?
As a Presidential candidate, will you now disassociate yourself, clearly and publicly, from the poisonous propaganda promoted in such publications?
As a guest on my syndicated radio show, you answered my questions directly and fearlessly.
Will you now answer these pressing questions, and eliminate all associations between your campaign and some of the most loathsome fringe groups in American society?
Along with my listeners (and many of your own supporters), I eagerly await your response.
Respectfully, Michael Medved
To this date there has been NO response.
Flap has asked before and asks again: Congressman Ron Paul when will you repudiate these hate-filled racist groups who undermine the very freedom and liberty you espouse?
Don’t hold your breath for an intelligent response.
Stay tuned…….
