Sarah Palin Out At Fox News Channel

    Sarah Palin and fox News

I was wondering why Sarah was not seen very much after the November elections.

    But, now it is clear.

Sarah is out at Fox News.

After a three-year run as a paid contributor to the nation’s highest-rated cable news channel, Sarah Palin and FOX News have cut ties, according to a source close to the former Alaska governor.

“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

She will probably be offered another news punditry gig at another network, if she wants it – like CNN or ABC.

I am wondering if she might just return to Alaska politics and run for the U.S. Senate seat occupied by Democrat Mark Begich?

President 2012: Fox News and Sarah Palin Have a Meeting

Donald Trump makes a point as he walks with former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin in New York City as they make their way to a scheduled meeting Tuesday, May 31, 2010

Everyone knows this was going to happen soon. Fox News is telling Sarah Palin to either fish (run for the Presidency) or cut bait (say she isn’t and resume her commentary and her contract with Fox News.)

Sarah Palin met with officials at Fox News in midtown Manhattan for over an hour on Wednesday.

After checking out of her Jersey City hotel earlier in the day for the fourth day of her “One Nation” bus tour, Palin told a gaggle of reporters that she was en route to Boston, but added: “I’m going to go talk to my bosses at Fox first, here, though. If we can make our way through the city in a big old bus.”

Palin’s bus was later parked outside Fox’s New York headquarters for about 90 minutes around lunchtime.

It was not clear with whom Palin met, but the visit comes on the heels of a New York Magazine report that Fox News chairman Roger Ailes believes Palin is “an idiot.” Fox denied that account.

The meeting also comes amid speculation about the limits of Palin’s Fox contract, which reportedly guarantees her $1 million a year through 2012.

I think she has about 30 days before Roger Ailes gives Palin the 60 day public warning, like he gave Newt and Santorum. Although, he might have given her the 60 day warning today.

In any case, Palin has to be in or out of the Presidential race by the 4th of July.

If she travels to Iowa and/or South Carolina in that bus, I think it pretty much says she is a go.

Drama at General Electric Shareholders Meeting: Why is MSNBC Slanting LEFT?; Updated: Jesse Waters Audio

Bill O’Reilly responds to Janeane Garofalo’s comments on teabaggers by blaming GE and NBC

Bill O’Reilly Show and Fox News Producer Jesse Waters ambush General Electric Executives at annual stockholder meeting again this year.

The hostility between Fox News Channel and MSNBC reached a fever pitch Wednesday when a Fox producer infiltrated the GE shareholders meeting.

Just before GE re-elected board members, company brass were hit with questions from shareholders critical of an alleged leftward political slant at MSNBC.

But one of those questions came from Jesse Waters, a producer on “The O’Reilly Factor” whose criticisms were cut short when his microphone was cut off, according to several attendees. Waters apparently did not publicly identify himself as a Fox employee.

Waters has built a reputation as an ambush interviewer, specializing in on-the-street confrontations. But this is arguably the boldest move by a Fox newsie to utilize the tactic inside their chief rival’s tent, as it were.

O’Reilly and MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann have been involved in a running feud for several years, but the pissing match between the two has of late started to envelope other parts of the News Corp. and GE empires.

GE pointed out that Waters had Fox News cameras waiting outside the Orlando meeting.

Attendees who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter said shareholders asked about 10 politically charged questions concerning MSNBC as well as one about CNBC.

It should be noted that Jesse Waters is a shareholder of General Electric and asked questions last year at the annual meeting. Apparently, the shareholders were upset with MSNBC because of its leftward lean politically.

When he got the floor, Waters focused his question about MSNBC on Olbermann’s interview of actress Janeane Garofalo, who likened conservatives to racists and spoke of “the limbic brain inside a right-winger.”

“He (Waters) was complaining that Olbermann didn’t bother to challenge her,” another GE shareholder said.

Immelt told the assembled he takes a hands-off approach to what is reported on the company’s news networks, which prompted a shareholder to criticize him for not managing NBC Uni more effectively.

But, it is not just MSNBC’s talking heads that are ALL LEFT all of the time. The NBC News division both national and Los Angeles are filled with left-leaning stories, interviews and personalities.

So, are the GE shareholders worried about the sinking of the once mighty General Electric Corporation?

    I wouldn’t own their stock.

    Update:

Here is the audio of Jesse Water’s asking his question. Note the applause and the boos that follow Immelt’s response.

Keith Olbermann v. Twitter – The Worst Person in the World

MSNBC Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person in The World” – The Web Service “Twitter” – 03/20/09

This is hilarious as Olbermann digs himself an even bigger hole in his vendetta against Fox News.

The incompetence that led to Keith Olbermann naming Twitter the “Worst Person in the World” is staggering. He smeared the popular service and a fellow liberal Democrat enemy of Fox News, because he got an email he didn’t understand, about a technology he didn’t understand, and neither he nor his staff did a click of research.

Keith Olberman, the biggest IDIOT in the Woooooorrrlllllldddddd…….

    • FOXNEWS 9.2 MILLION
    • NBC 8.7 MILLION
    • ABC: 6.0 MILLION
    • CBS: 5.3 MILLION
    • CNN 4.8 MILLION
    • MSNBC 2.5 MILLION

The previous night figures for Sarah Palin’s speech at 10 PM EDT:

    • FOXNEWS 9,038,000
    • NBC 7,720,000

    • ABC 5,050,000

Now, this is the REAL reason why Barack Obama finally consented to an interview and entered the “No Spin Zone” of Bill O’Reilly on Fox News.

Good job Fox News, keeping it “fair and balanced.”

Laura Ingraham Watch: Don’t Come In My Ear

Apparently embedding of the video has now been disabled re-enabled or you can watch it here

Outtakes from Laura Ingraham’s short lived Fox News Television Show, Just In

Flap has always enjoyed Laura Ingraham’s radio show. Radio is definitely a better venue for her talents than television.

    Flap’s recommendations to Ingraham:

    1. Less caffeine

    2. Eat regularly to avoid low blood sugar

    3. Lose the condescending attitude toward your staff
