Why John McCain CANNOT Be the GOP Nominee
Michael Ramirez almost says it all in his cartoon above except there is Mark Levin’s piece for National Review.
Key graphs:
McCain-Feingold — the most brazen frontal assault on political speech since Buckley v. Valeo.
McCain-Kennedy — the most far-reaching amnesty program in American history.
McCain-Lieberman — the most onerous and intrusive attack on American industry — through reporting, regulating, and taxing authority of greenhouse gases — in American history.
McCain-Kennedy-Edwards — the biggest boon to the trial bar since the tobacco settlement, under the rubric of a patients’ bill of rights.
McCain-Reimportantion of Drugs — a significant blow to pharmaceutical research and development, not to mention consumer safety (hey Rudy, pay attention, see link).
**********
The fact is that if Rudy Giuliani wants to be the President of the United States he has to make his case to the GOP.
Anyone doubt that Rudy will?

Come off it… that is a weak cartoon. McCain has been sted fast in doing what he felt was in the best interest of America (not Arizona or himself).
Flap
Certainly not in my best interests. He is not a conservative and barely a Republican.
His policies for America suck.

Sounds Reasonable to me…. Go McCain…. THat is unless Obama gets the nod.
Flap
Another LIB for McCain…..typical
Brian
Why would American drugs made here be dangerous if we bought them from Canada?
Flap
Come on, why do you think?
Another Democrat for McCain – be serious.
Brian
Flap,
I don’t understand why your fist debate tactic is name calling or diversionary tactics instead of addressing the issues at hand. If you are pointing out that many Democrats admire John McCain I don’t see why that is a bad thing.
I don’t think pfizer drugs in Canada are dangerous, do you?
Flap
Brian, you have an agenda and when I call you on it you bitch.
Pretty pathetic…..
And, your arguments are so leading and full of logical fallacies they are often a total waste to pursue.
John McCain is the favorite of Democrats because he is like them on many issues. Nothing wrong with it but that does not mean I or other Republicans will ever vote for him.
But, isn’t that your agenda, anyway? Why, of course it is.
Brian
Okay, I will tell you my secret agenda and then you can answer why McCain endangers consumer safety with drugs from Canada.
I don’t plan to vote for the GOP nominee at this time although it isn’t outside of any chance that I might. But if one of them were to win, I would feel most comfortable knowing that John McCain was commander in chief. Part of me wants him to win the nomination as it could be best for America, but the other part knows he could be tough for a Democrat to beat.
Now, feel free to answer why Canadian drugs are dangerous. The link you have up has this exact quote:
“….not to mention consumer safety” In regards to drug importation.
Can you explain that line? Why would American made drugs bought in Canada be dangerous?
Your refusal to actually answer questions is Romney like.
Oh, and if he wins the nomination you will support McCain, yes?
Flap
If McCain wins the GOP nomination I may or may not endorse or vote for him.
Depends.
Flap
Start on page 5 of the link.
Did you even read it?
Apparently not……
The phrase was consumer safety, by the way.
Brian
I said consumer safety above in bold.
Flap
NB: Your questions changed the context and language – dangerous.
Did you read the report from Giuliani Partners?
Probably not…….
Why ask questions when the answers are already provided?
Kind of lame if you ask me.
