Tony Strickland Watch: “Changing Minds” Radio Ad Features Erin Brockovich

Strickland for Senate has released a new radio ad titled “Changing Minds” which features popular consumer advocate Erin Brockovich explaining her support for Strickland’s ability to “get it done” and stating that he is the best person to represent the 19th District in the State Senate. Strickland’s ideas for strengthening our economy and advancing renewable energy as Vice President of GreenWave Energy Solutions has persuaded people with a wide range of political beliefs to support him in his bid for State Senate.

One of those people is Save the World Air CEO Cecil Kite, also featured in the ad, who says that, “Tony Strickland understands that technology and renewable energy, not bigger government, will transform and grow our economy and, even better, will reduce our dependence on foreign oil.”

Save the World Air is a locally based business aimed to cut vehicle emissions.

The third person featured in the ad is Mike Stoker, president of the Santa Barbara County Taxpayers Association, saying – “Tony Strickland knows that higher taxes hurt working families. You can count on Tony to fight for the taxpayer, fight for small business, and create jobs.”

Brockovich, a Democrat, is certainly the most recognizable figure in the ad due to the release of the major studio movie “Erin Brockovich” which highlighted her role in representing a number of people harmed by toxic waste leaked into the groundwater by a nearby Pacific Gas and Electric compressor station. Her character was played by Julia Roberts and became an instant box-office hit.

The popular consumer advocate and one of the most recognizable Democrats in the community supports Strickland for the independent leadership he has displayed in fighting for California families. His record of addressing the concerns of constituents and accessibility to the people he represents have convinced Brockovich that he is the best person to represent California’s 19th Senate District.
