Sarah Palin to Speak at Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California
Republican Women Federated of Simi Valley said in a statement Sunday that Palin is scheduled to attend the group’s 50th anniversary gala at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Aug. 8.
Republican Women Federated of Simi Valley spokeswoman Pat Saraceno said the invitation-only event will be closed to the media. Several hundred people have already confirmed they plan to attend the gala, which costs $100 for members and $150 for invited nonmembers.
The group expects no more than 900 people at the event, which will be held at the cavernous pavilion that houses the former president’s jet, Air Force One.
The master of ceremonies for the event will be conservative radio talk-show host and filmmaker John Ziegler.
Unfortunately, I have already made plans to be in Las Vegas this weekend and will miss the event.
But, I am positive Sarah will be back in Ventura County soon and often.

Dino, We like her because she is patriotic, genuine, and puts the interests of the United States first. I, for one, am sick of the elite ruling class controlling my life. Its time to get back to Reagan Conservatism, and Sarah Palin is one of the few remaining representatives, albeit a little nieve. I would rather vote for a conservative with little experience, than one who has lost touch with the people. I almost wrote in Fred Thompson in the last presisential election, but cast my vote for Sarah at the last minute. McCain may be a national hero, but Reagan Conservative he is not.
I think she is the perfect choice to speak in Simi Valley, I just wish I could go…

I agree with Dino. People who speak from their hearts and speak the truth are quickly put down. It simply does not support the status quo. I sure hope Jeff gets his daughter into the event! How inspiring for a young woman!
My hope is that Sarah gains support and I truly feel my heart being pulled when she talks about supporting our troops! In the current administration we seem to be on the slippery slope to socialist reform and government takeover on all sides. This needs to stop!!! Go SARAH PALIN!!!

Sarah Palin is far from dumb Dino. Have you ever worked your way up the ladder of the old boys club? Have you done anything in your life that would come close to being the Governor of a state, all the while raising a family and look good doing it ! She has far more intelligence than the media has lead you to believe. The Good Ol Boys are scared to death of her and that’s why she has been knocked down. It makes them feel taller. She is certainly a fearsome sight to behold !

Name calling is not productive, but, I guess it makes you feel like a man, right? What are your qualifications as a “smart” individual? I’m sure you have experiences that compare with hers that qualify you to judge her? Hmmmm… mudslinging, such a productive tool for an educated person such as yourself. I admire her for being a real person and for trying to make a difference, which is a concept that you probably would not understand.

I am a 20 year Navy veteran and 74 years old. I only wish that I will still be alive to get a chance to vote Sarah Palin in for President of the United States. She strikes me as being up front honest and not a phoney. We need more people like her representing us.

Sara is REAL. That is exactly it! She may not be a flawless speaker from a teleprompter, but she is real. I can’t believe people don’t actually look at her resume. Why don’t they see she is the girl next door with a brain.. Someone was once quoted as saying “I would rather pick the first 20 names from the phone book and have them run congress than the people we have up there now.” All 3 branches of gov’t have forgetten about the common people. Sara has not. I don’t think she ever would. Sara has brains, beauty and brawn and I LOVE that about her.
