Giuliani Notes: Rudy Stumping in Virginia

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani riffed on familiar themes of taxes and terrorism in a speech to a cozy room of Virginia Republicans here tonight, laying out a broad set of principles organized around the idea that the GOP is the party more committed to expanding freedom.
Raising money for a beleaguered state party that has suffered consecutive statewide losses, Giuliani also told over 100 dinner-goers that “there are lot of lessons we can learn from last fall.”“We have to be the party of the future,” Giuliani said in a speech that an aide said was a long-standing commitment. “We have to be better known for what we are for than what we are against,”
And, he told an audience that had a handful of faces reflecting the diversity of the area, the GOP must be “a party of inclusion.”
