Day By Day by Chris Muir October 28, 2007
Everyone,
Flap is enjoying his mini-vacation in Nevada this weekend. The Elton John Show at Caesar’s Palace on Friday night was fantastic.
The poker tables have been the calling since. Don’t ask me how much I am up or down.
Flap will return to Thousand Oaks tomorrow and the meantime regular blogging will be light, and comment moderation/replies will be intermittent (so be good). I will try to update Facebook status and Twitter more often – on the right sidebar.
Later, for the felt is calling…….

For anyone interested in other healthcare related articles-
Check out this article on glaucoma in the New York Sun. . A Blind Eye to Prevention offers some great info about a recent Washington D.C. conference that discussed the importance of focusing on disease prevention rather than treatment alone.
From the article-
“According to Dr. McClellan, about 95% of Medicare funds are spent on people who are sick. “We need to shift from paying for services to paying for prevention,” he recommended. Glaucoma screening is one example of such prevention — others are tests for breast and colon cancer.
A good solution, perhaps the best, is to make health care plans portable, so that people can take them with them when they switch jobs. That would give insurance companies more incentive to keep people healthy, because they will be with the company for a long time.”
