Anti-McCain Flyer Begins Nasty South Carolina GOP Campaign
This will be a NASTY GOP campaign in South Carolina.
The McCain campaign responded here.
Flap says disagree with John McCain on the issues (and Flap does mightily), vote for, support someone else, but, crap like this has no place in politics.
Update:
More on the Flyer.
The mastermind of the anti-McCain veterans mailer, Jerry Kiley of the group Vietnam Veterans Against McCain, told NBC News/National Journal that he created the ad, and it was printed and mailed by a group that publishes the like-minded journal US Veteran Dispatch.
Among Kiley’s claims is that McCain gave his captors information about U.S. flight paths in exchange for better medical care after being shot down in Hanoi. He added that a similar effort to discredit McCain will be made in other states in the future.
How will this crapola play in South Carolina? Will it damage McCain?

South Carolina seems to be the center for mud slinging politics. Romney won’t have much time to enjoy his victory. South Carolina will be between McCain and Huckabee. The primary is Saturday.
Any predictions?

It will be down and dirty.
My bet is on the Evangelicals and Huckabee. McCain is going to be hit hard and often.
But, will Thompson siphon off enough votes to give it to McCain?
By the way, the bloom is off the rose for McCain. When he said Michigan jobs were gone and not EVER coming back that was like driving a stake in his heart.

Romney taking Michigan means that he’s going to come after both McCain and Huckabee in South Carolina. Get ready for some mud flinging. This flyer was just the beginning. Have to say this, though – Both Romney and McCain stand to lose in a free or all negative campaign, cause the mud seems to stick to them, while it just slides off Huckabee’s back.

Down and dirty the next few days will be. Huck has the advantage but will Fred shill for McCain work?
