John McCain,  President 2008

John McCain Wins California GOP Primary

*****Update*****

John McCain wins in all but 2 of California’s 53 Congressional Districts, thereby sweeping almost all of California’s GOP delegates.

Of the 173 delegates available, McCain will win ALL but a handful.

John McCain swept to victory in the California Primary election yesterday. But…….

McCain advanced significantly toward his party’s nomination, winning nine states, including delegate-rich California, New York and Illinois. But exit polls showed that he had still not won the hearts of the party’s most loyal conservatives, who divided most of their votes between Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, and Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas. That left the GOP closer to making McCain its nominee but no closer to joining ranks behind him.

And, conservatives led by right wing talk radio will NEVER leave McCain alone as the GOP standard bearer. There is talk that the RIGHT wishes to sabotage McCain so that, believe it or not, Flip – Flopper Mitt Romney can run again in 2012.

The RIGHT continues to spew that McCain is NOT conservative enough.

Here is a graphic of the state of the race nationally:

The GOP field continues to be divided and judging the Democrat turn out and the enthusiasm of their supporters, the Republican Party may have a rough go of things this Fall.

The Far Right is not helping the GOP – but Hillary and Obama will probably be the next President in any case.

John McCain WILL be the GOP nominee but it may not be winning much.

    Flap,

I kissed off Laura Ingraham many months ago when she trashed Rudy the day after he appeared on her program. She cannot understand why she and other conservative talk show hosts are not able to dictate their candidate to the american voter.

I just want Romney to go away. He cannot win a general election this year or any other year ( as proven by his poor showing in the south ).

Sorry Laura baby, people aren’t buying what you are selling.

Laura Ingraham and El Rushbo are too into themselves to be effective spokesmen for the GOP.

Since most of right talk radio are now shills for Romney it is a wonder how they will be able to maintain an audience.

    I know I won’t be listening.

    And, Hugh Hewitt has imploded……..

    Flap,

I have boycotted Hugh Hewitt for months because he has become such a sycophant for Romney. I did hear a brief portion of his show today because I wanted to hear his reaction to Super Tuesday.

I gave up after about 10 minutes when he suggested that McCain might consider Jeb Bush as VP. Bush would be a worse choice than Hucakbee ( who could be on the ticket ). McCain/ Huckabee would almost guarantee a democrat victory.

If,as you state, Hewitt is comparing Romney to Reagan in 1976, he must be so far down in the tank to fraud Romney that he can’t see the light. Hewitt has become an absolute joke and and an embarrassment.

All of the right oriented talk radio is taking a big hit with all of this Rudy and now McCain denigration.

Maybe they fear their ratings will tank like Air America radio did on the left?

Too much money and too much shilling for the various candidates have ruined their popularity.

Hugh Hewitt has ruined his career, me thinks.

Was on my way to Tulsa late this afternoon and heard about five minutes of Hannity which was enough to make me turn him off for good. Some woman was comparing McCain to Hillary and saying there was no difference and Hannity agreed and then went on to say no matter what happened, he would be the opposition to McCain that everyone could count on or words to that effect. I was so disgusted I didn’t get the exact words because by then I was talking back to the radio. He also said he voted for Romney.

Let me get this straight. Romney never voted for Pres Reagan, ran to the left of Ted Kennedy, was an Indy, then a Dem, became a Republican and then became Governor of MA where he governed as a liberal but he says he is now a conservative and the so-called ‘conservative’ pundits believe him? What do they have for brains — mush!

Romney is a bigger flip flopper then Kerry and these smarter then all of us pundits tout him as a ‘true’ conservative? Sure glad we are not as dumb as they think we are.

Seeing McCain get these pundits and social conservatives all worked up is one of the funniest things of the campaign. They helped take out Rudy because he didn’t fit their mold of the ‘true’ conservative and now they are getting McCain and they cannot stand it. All they do now is whine! Made it easier to vote for McCain yesterday I must admit. Wanted to mark the ballot for Rudy but didn’t want to take the chance of Romney or Huckabee winning my state.

Most of those calls for Mitt Romney are from his Mormon cabal. Make no mistake the LDS church has alot riding on his candidacy.

Mitt wants his money back – some $40 plus million and he will stick around to see what scraps he can salvage.

His supporters are hoping for a GOP loss in the Fall so he can re-emerge for a 2012 campaign.

    Ugh…..

This guy has got to go.

Right talk radio has become a joke – maybe Romney’s Bain Capital will buy them all for a discount.
