With the results of today’s GOP primary elections in Rhode Island, Vermont, Ohio and Texas, Senator John McCain has won sufficient delegates to be nominated by the Republican Party as its Presidential nominee.

John McCain clinched the Republican presidential nomination Tuesday, an extraordinary comeback for a candidate whose White House hopes were dashed eight years ago and whose second bid was left for dead eight months ago.

“The most important race begins,” he said in an Associated Press interview.

Congratulations to Team McCain.

The campaign for the Presidency begins tonight.

Well, that’s the end of that. Huckabee stuck to his guns until it was mathematically impossible for him to win. Guess he’ll have to wait for another 4 years for his miracle. And Hillary, surprisingly, pulls off stunners in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island. Looks like the Dems are going to really kill each other.

I’m so glad McCain is the republican candidate. He should have been nominated 8 years ago. Finally he’s getting the chance he deserves. He’s spent the last 8 years showing us how good he could be as president.
