The New York Times has everything anyone wants to know about John McCain’s bout with the skin cancer – Melanoma.

The short answer is yes he will live through a four year Presidency. Flap doubts at his age that he would run for re-election at 76, but who knows?

This is why Vice Presidential selections are so important. Hillary or Obama could just as easily develop a life threatening illness while in office. Hopefully not.

If anything, Senator McCain’s illness will heighten awareness of skin cancer and spur others to see their doctor immediately if they detect a skin abnormailty.
