Just read an article over at RCP by a Reid Wilson ( who has always pushed Romney down our throats ) which states that Romney has promised to raise $15 million for McCain. Of couse the author also argues that Romney may be audtioning for another run for president, but that he might be a good choice for VP.
It is more probable that Romney is cultivating his ties to the party with an eye to another run for president. In either case, I stay home if this political fraud is on any ticket.
More on Romney and his push for VP appears in an article in The New Yorker Magazine which is linked at RCP. Apparenlty Carl Rove and former President Bush are pushing Romney for the slot.
The author of the article seems to think that McCain may be turned off with Romney’s “pushiness”, but does not entirely dismiss the possibiltiy. The article does point out Romney’s religion problem and McCain’s and staff’s dislike of the phony Romney.
McCain will be running away from Bush and Rove. Remember there is no love lost between McCain and them since 2000 when he was smeared in South Carolina about an illegitimate black baby – supposedly his.
Romney will NOT be the VP as Huckabee will NOT be.
The way Obama is imploding I would say Pawlenty, Portman or Sanford in that order.

Yep, Romney wants another bite at the Presidential apple.
John McCain wants to win and he will not choose Romney as VP.
Since McCain will be one term, the next Vice President will have a leg up in 2012.
I expect Romney and Huckabee to run in 2012. Thankfully, the GOP will have four years to groom new candidates, including McCain’s VP.
