Barack Obama Watch: Time to Leave Trinity?

Father Michael Pfleger preaching at Barack Obama’s church, Trinity United

Another Pastor problem for Barack Obama.

    • I must now to address the one who says, ‘don’t hold me responsible for what my ancestors did.’ But you have enjoyed the benefits of what your ancestors did! And unless you are ready to give up the benefits — Throw away your 401 fund! [sic] Throw away your trust fund! Throw away all the money that been put away in the company you walked into ’cause your daddy and your granddaddy and your great grandaddy —

(screaming at the top of his lungs)

Unless you are willing to give up the benefits, then you must be responsible for what was done in your generation! ‘Cause you are the beneficiary of this insurance policy!

    • [garbled] expose white entitlement. And supremacy, wherever it raises its head. I said before, I really don’t want to make this political, because you know I’m really very unpolitical.

When Hillary was crying, and people said that was put on, I really don’t believe it was put on. I really believe that she just always  thought, ‘this is mine. I’m Bill’s wife. I’m white, and this is mine. I just gotta get up and step into the plate.’

Then out of nowhere, ‘I’m Barack Obama!’

Imitating Hillary’s response, screaming at the top of his lungs again, he continues, ‘Ah, damn! Where did you come from? I’m white! I’m entitled! There’s a black man stealing my show!’

      (mocks crying)

She wasn’t the only one crying, there was a whole lot of white people crying!

I’m sorry. I don’t want in any more trouble. The live-streaming just went out again.”

More television spot fodder for McCain, the 527’s and the GOP.

Now will Barack Obama repudiate his church of over twenty years and Michael Pfleger too?

    Over to Obama……

Air America Scandel: Where is Evan Montvel-Cohen? Answer: Arrested in Guam

    Evan Montvel-Cohen

Flap asked the question back in 2005: Where is Evan Montvel-Cohen and why is Air America and Al Franken not pursuing him referencing Michelle Malkin’s piece, AIR ENRON: AL FRANKEN NEEDS HELP.

First, a little refresher course in Evan Cohen and Air America’s rip-off of the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx.

Evan Montvel-Cohen and Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club

Well, the authorities finally caught up with Mr. Cohen and arrested him the other day in Guam.

The mystery man behind the looting of a Bronx charity to finance the startup of liberal radio network Air America was arrested yesterday in Guam.

Evan Montvel-Cohen was picked up by border-patrol officers at Guam International Airport on an outstanding warrant from Hawaii. He had been indicted there last month for money laundering and the theft of more than $60,000 from a Honolulu landscaping firm, prosecutors said.

Brian Maloney over at the Radio Equalizer has more.

    The Cohen indictment is here.

New York will probably not pursue Cohen criminally for his rip-off of the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club to the benefit of left wing Air America Radio. Maybe Hawaii will punish him.

But, Flap wonders if this Air America scandal will filter over to the Al Franken vs. Norm Coleman U.S. Senate race in Minnesota? After all, Franken was enriched initially by the criminal activity of Cohen and others.

Nancy Pelosi to Step Into Obama vs. Clinton?

    Nancy Pelosi

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of Calif., flanked by Rep. Bob Filner, D-Calif., left, and Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Texas, speaks during a news conference on Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, May 21, 2008, to discuss the House’s accomplishments on behalf of veterans.

Nancy Pelosi says she will step into the fray if there is no resolution by late June regarding the seating of delegates from Florida and Michigan.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she will step in if necessary to make sure the presidential nomination fight between Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama does not reach the Democratic National Convention – though she believes it could be resolved as early as next week.

Pelosi predicted Wednesday that a presidential nominee will emerge in the week after the final Democratic primaries on June 3, but she said “I will step in” if there is no resolution by late June regarding the seating of delegates from Florida and Michigan, the two states that defied party rules by holding early primaries.

“Because we cannot take this fight to the convention,” she said. “It must be over before then.”

Bill and Hillary Clinton will not allow this fight to end on Pelosi’s or any other party member’s dictate or timetable. They both will leave the arena when they are ready.

Of course, Obama could speed things along by offering to pay Hillary’s campaign debts – just as a start. But, this would drain his coffers and the DNC under Howard Dean has woefully under performed in fundraising.

In the meantime, Hillary will do more damage to Obama in the key white working class demographic in the Midwest.

Iraq War Veterans Call Out Barack Obama So McCain Supporting Senators Quit

Iraq War veteran Specialist Kate Norley

Yesterday a video featuring Kate Norley was released by Vetsforfreedom, org and promptly two U.S. Senators associated with the organization and the John McCain for President campaign quit.

Senators Joseph I. Lieberman and Lindsey Graham, prominent surrogates for Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign, stepped down Wednesday from their positions with an independent group that released a pair of Internet advertisements attacking Senator Barack Obama on Iraq.

Mr. Lieberman, independent of Connecticut, and Mr. Graham, Republican of South Carolina, were both on the policy advisory board to the organization, Vets for Freedom, which on Wednesday released its second Web advertisement in less than a week attacking Mr. Obama.

The senators’ positions with the group, which describes itself as a grass-roots advocacy organization pushing for victory in Iraq and Afghanistan, seemed to place them in contravention of new conflict-of-interest rules released by Mr. McCain’s campaign that specifically prohibit anyone “with a McCain campaign title or position” from participating in a “527 or other independent entity that makes public communications that support or oppose any presidential candidate.”

After inquiries from reporters, the senators released a joint letter to Vets for Freedom on Wednesday saying they had requested a leave from their positions to come into compliance with the new policy.

“This is obviously something we’re working through,” said Brian Rogers, a spokesman for the McCain campaign. “This is the kind of thing that happens when you have the strictest possible policy on these issues.”

The new policy was meant to head off embarrassing questions about connections of members of the McCain campaign to special interests that run counter to Mr. McCain’s reformist reputation. But adhering to that standard has proved complicated.

    Why?

Oh, McCain wants to remain the “MAVERICK.”

This assinine policy already cost the McCain campaign a solid staffer in Soren Dayton – for a Tweet early in the Jeremiah Wright flap.

Team McCain better wake up and remember that transparency is what counts and campaign staffers do have lives outside the Arizona Senator’s small view of the world.

This is NOT a way to win a campaign.

Day By Day by Chris Muir

Both sexism and racism may play a role in the Presidential race but benefiting the GOP and John McCain. The red states will remain red states and the REAL Presidential race in the Electoral College will be limited to half a dozen states at the most.

But, the conventional wisdom is that the GOP will take a drubbing at the polls. Certainly this WILL be the case in the Congress with a good number of GOP retirements and the number of U.S. Senate seats to defend in states trending Democrat.

In case you missed it here are the comments of Rupert Murdoch made yesterday evening at a Wall Street Journal High Tech conference in California:

News Corp Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch on Wednesday predicted a Democratic landslide in the U.S. presidential election against a gloomy economic backdrop over the next 18 months.

“You have got the Obama phenomenon. You have got, undoubtedly, a recession … The average American is really getting hurt financially and that all bodes well for him (Obama), Murdoch said.

“You have probably the making of a complete phenomenon in this country,” Murdoch said in describing what he predicted will be a sweeping victory for Democrats in November.

There is a recurring theme for American business. They pick, fund and go with a political winner.

Not a good sign for the GOP.

Barack Obama NOW Considering Trip to Iraq

Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., talks with the media aboard his plane en route to Chicago, Wednesday, May 28, 2008.

Senator Barack Obama the presumptive Democrat nominee for President NOW says he is planning a trip to Iraq this summer.

Senator Barack Obama said today that he is considering visiting American troops and commanders in Iraq this summer. He declined an invitation from Senator John McCain to take a joint trip to Iraq, saying: “I just don’t want to be involved in a political stunt.”

In a brief interview here, Mr. Obama said his campaign was considering taking a foreign trip after he secures the Democratic presidential nomination. No details have been set, he said, but added: “Iraq would obviously be at the top of the list of stops.”

Mr. Obama visited Iraq in January 2006 as part of a Congressional delegation to the Middle East, but he has not returned since he became a presidential candidate. Mr. McCain and the Republican National Committee have sought to use that singular trip to highlight a lack of foreign policy experience.

Nice that someone who espouses a complete withdrawal from Iraq at least be updated from his ONE VISIT TWO YEARS AGO.

Obama says he does not want to be involved in a political stunt but suddenly after the Republican National Committee, an Iraq War veteran’s organization and Senator John McCain call him out on his lack of foreign policy experience especially with regards to the Iraq War he urgently tells the press – he is considering an Iraq trip.

    Fancy that.

How many days will the RNC counter show before Obama, a member of U.S. Senate Foreighn Relations Committee actually commits himself to get his ass over there and talks to General Petraeus?

The counter stands at 871 days.

    Stay tuned………

Iraq War Veterans Call Out Barack Obama

Iraq War veteran Specialist Kate Norley

Iraq War veteran Kate Norley asks presumptive Democrat Presidential nominee Barack Obama two questions:

    • Senator Obama, when will you finally decide to go back to Iraq, to see the progress first hand?
    • And when will you finally decide to meet one-on-one, unconditionally, with General Petraeus?

Senator McCain asked the same questions today.

    Well, over to Obama.

No citizen’s arrest of John Bolton, the former United States Ambassador to the United Nations this evening. The obviously muddleheaded George Moonbat Monbiot was blocked by security guards from serving upon Bolton the “charge sheet.”

The attention seeking Monbiot achieved what he sought out to do: Prove that he is indeed a moron.

McCain Rips Obama over Iraq War AGAIN

McCain in Reno, Nevada May 28, 2008: Obama Needs To See The Facts On The Ground In Iraq. Skip ahead to 1:20

John McCain in a townhall forum today in Reno, Nevada ripped Barack Obama for having ONLY been to Iraq one time two years ago (before the Surge) and for failing in his duties as a member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

    Key Quotes:

    • “A little over two years ago he went and he has never seized the opportunity except in a hearing to meet with General Petraeus. This is about leadership and learning.”
    • “Why is it that Senator Obama wants to sit down with the president of Iran but has not sat down with General Petraeus…”

Flap wonders if Senator McCain has been reading Jim Geraghty over at National Review who this morning made similar observations.

Is Obama Willing To Meet Ahmadinejad, But Not Petraeus?

Obama has been to Iraq once, in 2006. It was a two-day tour of the country.

I suppose one can argue about the value of seeing the situation on the ground with one’s own eyes, but wouldn’t the architect of a withdrawal want to see some of the circumstances himself? Even if Obama didn’t want to travel with McCain, is it really wise to suggest that a tour of post-surge Iraq is unnecessary? Wouldn’t scheduling a visit defuse criticism like this from Vets for Freedom PAC?

And isn’t Obama vulnerable to the argument that a man who’s pledged to meet unconditionally, one-on-one, face-to-face with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad really ought to meet at least once one-on-one with Gen. David Petraeus?

Barack Obama is too inexperienced in foreign policy to be the President and Commander in Chief. Obama has not served in the military and his military background is limited except a Great Uncle who served in World War II – and Obama got the facts wrong on his service.

Is this someone we can trust to be the leader of the free world, especially in a time of terrorism and war ?
