stabenowweb1ge Senator Debbie Stabenow Watch: If the Shoe Fits, Senator

Drudge has Dem Senator Displays ‘Dangerously Incompetent’ Sign On Senate Floor

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) went to the Senate floor Wednesday afternoon and displayed an enormous sign that read “Dangerously Incompetent” while giving a speech attacking the Bush administration over first responder and Homeland Security funding.
Stabenow was on the Senate floor selling an amendment she has offered to increase funding for first responders by $5 billion. “God forbid that there is another terrorist attack or a natural disaster,” Stabenow warned.

Michelle Malkin has WHERE NOT TO STAND…

And describes the “First Responder Fakeout” which is a union ploy to bolster the numbers of a Democrat Party constituency group. No wonder the outrage……Stabenow is trolling for union campaign dollars.

But, this Liberal Moron really has to be asked about the sign: Senator, if the shoe fits………WEAR IT!

galleglyc3ez Elton Gallegly Watch: Will Not Seek Re election or Will he? REDUX

Ventura County Star: Gallegly saying he will not rule out return to race

Rep. Elton Gallegly may change his mind and run for re-election

Saying “it is not my intention to circumvent the rights of anyone,” Rep. Elton Gallegly said Monday he is exploring legal options to reopen the nomination period for candidates seeking his office. If nothing can be done, Gallegly would not rule out the possibility that he will change his mind and actively seek re-election.

In a statement released by his office, Gallegly said if no remedies are found, he will look at “what further options may be viable to ensure fairness to the voters of the 24th Congressional District.”

Asked whether that included the possibility of his actively seeking re-election, Gallegly responded: “Those further options don’t exclude anything.”

Well, the Congressman’s legal options are very limited unless he can get creative judges. The best option and really only option is to seek re-election unless he wishes Michael Tenenbaum to win his seat virtually by default.

Elton can and will win re-election if he wishes. However, will his health problems preclude him from waging a credible campaign? And might he resign/withdraw from the race after the California June primary election and allow the Ventura County Republican Party to choose his successor?

Flap handicaps that Elton will run for re-election and that Michael Tenebaum who wishes a career in California Republican politics will withdraw from the race clearing Gallegly for one last term.

Stay tuned……

fristmar14web8nn President 2008 Watch: Senator Bill Frist Dares Democrats Over Feingold Effort to Censure President Bush

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN)(L) speaks to the press during an effort by Senator Russs Feingold (D-WI) to censure U.S. President George W. Bush over domestic spying, on Capitol Hill in Washington March 13, 2006. The White House on Monday dismissed as politically motivated a Democratic senator’s attempt to censure President George W. Bush for ordering domestic eavesdropping on U.S. citizens without a warrant.

Drudge has a Flash Report: FRIST DARES DEMS: MORE CENSURE TALK

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist plans to push Democrats for a vote of censure against President Bush! After facing down Senator Russ Feingold’s censure bill on Monday and seeing Democrats of all ranks fold, Frist thinks it’s time to call Democrats on their antics, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. “He pushed them to the mat today, and they blinked,” said one Frist associate. “He dared them to vote, and Democrat Leader Harry Reid looked like he was going to be sick as he said ‘No.”’

Frist is going to continue to dare Democrats to vote on censuring the President. “When it comes to intercepting phone calls from Tora Bora to Topeka, Frist thinks Senate Democrats have made a huge blunder, and he will lead the charge to make Democrats put up or shut up on censure,” the top insider claimed.

Come on Democrats…..

Don’t WIMP out………

Bring Feingold’s censure resolution to the floor and vote for it…….

Fish or cut bait…….

Stay tuned………

ASSociated Press: Iran Says Nuclear Program ‘Irreversible’

Iran’s supreme leader said Tuesday that Iran’s nuclear fuel program was “irreversible”, warning that any retreat by Iran over its nuclear program will be “breaking the country’s independence.”

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also ordered Iran’s diplomats abroad to defend the country’s nuclear program, saying retreat will force Tehran to gradually give up all its foreign policy goals.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran considers retreat over the nuclear issue…as breaking the country’s independence which will impose huge costs on the Iranian nation,” state television quoted Khamenei as saying to diplomats brought home from Iran’s embassies across the world for consultations with Iranian leaders.

More sabre rattling prior to the United Nations Security Council meeting. Iran’s position and the position of Iranian Mullahs has ALWAYS been clear.

The ball continues in President Bush’s court.
