Part Two of the Barack Obama interview with Chris Wallace today on Fox News Sunday

Jim Garaghty weighs into the Flap: McCain, Up To Speed on the Latest Wright Sermons (U.S. Is Same as al-Qaeda, etc.)

Also, note that McCain… okay, more likely somebody on his campaign… reads the Campaign Spot and/or listens to Hugh Hewitt, because McCain is now quoting the recently-discovered new recordings of Wright’s sermons. Also, note that McCain… okay, more likely somebody on his campaign… reads the Campaign Spot and/or listens to Hugh Hewitt, because McCain is now quoting the recently-discovered new recordings of Wright’s sermons.

  • I saw yesterday some additional comments that have been revealed by Pastor Wright, one of them comparing the United States Marine Corps with Roman Legionnaires who were responsible for the death of our Savior, I mean being involved in that. It’s beyond belief. And then of course saying that Al Qaeda and the American flag were the same flags. So I can understand, I can understand why people are upset about this. I can understand why Americans, when viewing these kinds of comments, are angry and upset. Just like they view Senator Obama’s statements about why people turn to their faith and their values. He believes that it’s out of economic concerns. We all know it’s out of a fundamental belief, a fundamental faith in this country and its values and its principles. Again, Senator Obama, out of touch. I can’t control, and will not in future, control. I will voice my opinion. And I will continue to say that I think that ad should not be run. But I won’t continue to try to be the referee here.”

Now that McCain has decided that Jeremiah Wright may indeed be an issue, what about the North Carolina Ad Flap and the firing of Soren Dayton?

Will Senator McCain have an epiphany of embarassment as to who is “out of touch with reality?”

The Senator needs to apologize.

2447583316 f98550b6ef o Iran Nuclear Watch: Iran Demands Azerbaijan Deliver Russian Nuclear Shipment

United Nations sanctions might actually be enforced?

Iran demanded Sunday that Azerbaijan deliver a Russian shipment of nuclear equipment blocked at its border with Iran for the past three weeks.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said in his weekly briefing that his country has asked the Azerbaijani ambassador in Iran to get his government “to deliver the shipment as soon as possible.”

The blocked nuclear equipment “is in the framework of Iran-Russia cooperation” and there should be “no ban on it,” he said about the shipment destined for a Russian-built nuclear reactor in the southern Iranian port city of Bushehr.

Azerbaijan has said it was seeking more information about the shipment due to fears that it might violate any of the three sets of U.N. Security Council sanctions imposed on Iran over its failure to halt uranium enrichment.

On Monday, Russian state-run company Atomstroiexport said that one or two trucks carrying the equipment for Iran were stopped two weeks ago at the town of Astara, on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border.

Company spokeswoman Irina Yesipova said officials were holding talks with both Azerbaijan and Iran about the incident. She said the shipment contained “heat-isolating equipment” essential to the plant’s operation but that the holdup was not likely to delay the startup of the plant.

Flap cannot help but think that something other than “heat-isolating equipment” is involved here.

Stay tuned…….

Part Two of the Barack Obama interview with Chris Wallace today on Fox News Sunday

Barack Obama said it himself and John McCain WILL take him up on it.

In Florida media avail, the Arizona Senator suggests Obama’s “Fox News Sunday” comments are a bit of a game changer.

“Senator Obama himself says it’s a legitimate political issue, so I would imagine that many other people will share that view and it will be in the arena.”

Well, maybe……..

“John McCain has broken his word to the American people and rendered hollow his promise of a respectful campaign.” Full response.

So, as Flap said yesterday the gloves are off – FINALLY.

Now, Senator, what about Flap’s friend Soren Dayton?
