Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and Senator John McCain

Will John McCain make the “SAFE” choice and name Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty this week as his Vice President?

It’s VP tea leaf reading season, and a Republican source who attended a small private meeting with John McCain Tuesday in New Hampshire tells CNN that the GOP candidate dropped a serious hint about Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.

The Republican source said “out of the blue” McCain told the gathering that he thinks they are “really going to like” Pawlenty.

Flap thought originally that Pawlenty would be McCain’s choice but after seeing him on the stump do not think he is as dynamic as either Bobby Jindal or Sarah Palin.

Flap characterizes Pawlenty as “milktoast” and really adds nothing to McCain’s campaign.

One Response to “John McCain Watch: Vice President to be Named This Week - Is it Tim Pawlenty?”

  1. Dan Lacey says:

McCain likes Pawlenty/McCain does whatever he likes/Pawlenty will likely be McCain’s pick for VP. It’s that simple.

Actually, Pawlenty is a grand choice. Pawlenty is social conservative, budget balancer, tax cutter. He may not be able to deliver MN, but he’ll influence the entire midwest which is where the election is up for grabs.

    Good it’s Pawlenty
