Any information as to why it was postponed? Is it because she’s too sick for it to go ahead?

  • John Hurd

I think Susan Atkins should be given a new cellmate–someone who belongs to a cult
that likes to kill women with brain cancer and an amputated leg. Susan is very spiritual
now. Maybe she can talk the cellmate out of harming her and change that person’s life.

What does Ms. whitehouse Parole hearing have to do with her being sick? lf she in a near by Hospital she won’t be able to attend..So, what happens next? We all know she on her way out!
l understand she had plenty of compassion showed her, she got married, she was able to have Congiul visits withher husband..She was able to celebrate her 20-Wedding Anniversary.. So, l feel she been showed plenty of Mercy..Sharon She never showed Sharon Tate one drop of mercy..l feel Susan Denise Atkins should stay just where she is..

they should all die in prison and after that they should burn in hell. Not just for what they did to Sharon Tate, but for all their other victims. Every one should look at the videos of them smiling, laughing and singing their freak leaders songs on utube.

I’m not sure why Susan’s parole hearing has been postponed, but those of us who believe she should serve her time have been waiting for another denial or death. She’s extremely “lucky” to have had her death penalty overturned and for her or her husband to ask for a compassionate release is beyond belief. He claims that the state has, and is, spending millions on her medical care and this is the reason she should be granted parole. COME ON! You’ve got to be kidding me!! She should humble herself before the Lord and STOP asking for release & do the time! She shouldn’t have even had life with the possibility of parole. If California was so against the death penalty, then she should have just been given life “without” the possibility of parole! Now … 40 years later … Susan & her husband/attorney are taking advantage of the legalities of her punishment & they should be ashamed. But are they? NO! They just want what they want & think the rest of us are the ones that are “screwed up in the head”! She’s dying in a much nicer way than what she gave Sharon Tate AND her unborn baby! Compassionate Release? No!! Compassion? No! She’s had an EASY life compared to a lot of us, and for her crimes, she really did get off easy, too!

I truly hope that she is denied parole for the 18th time…no matter what her medical condition is now, that does NOT change the fact that she participated in murdering several people!

I am sure that she is no longer the same person she was 40 years ago. I am sure that she has remorse and asked for forgiveness for the vicious and unthinkable things she has done. No one but the victims can forgive her. As only Sharon Tate can forgive her…BUT Sharon Tate is not here. Neither is the child she was pregnant with. They BOTH died at the cold, cruel hands of Susan Atkins.

In YOUR OWN WORDS to Sharon Tate: I don’t have any mercy on YOU, Susan Atkins.

  • John

Here’s why we should keep paying for Susan Atkins’s medical care: because if she’s released,
her lawyer-husband will sell the movie rights to her “story”–then she’ll be miraculously
“healed” by God and suddenly won’t be paralyzed–and she’ll have lots of money and live
another 20 years. (Supposedly, a year ago, she only had 6 months to live. She sure does
    stretch time, doesn’t she?)

Susan Atkins is one smart customer–and so is the guy who married her, of all the women
on Earth. There’s gold in that there story, Jim!

THESE MURDERS WOULD HAVE TAKEN PLACE WITH OR WITHOUT SUSAN…SHE WAS A PAWN NOT A PLANNER…. MANSON WANTED TO GET THE GIRLS INVOLVED SO THEY WOULD NEVER IMPLICATE HIM.. HOWEVER THE GIRLS ENDED UP DOING ALL THE TIME INSTEAD… SUSAN WAS EVEN GIVEN IMMUNITY AT ONE POINT, BUT THAN IT WAS WITHDRAWN… SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED ALONG TIME AGO..BUT THE PAROLE BOARD IS AFRAID TO RELEASE A HIGH PROFILE INMATE… EVEN BUGLOSI DOES NOT OBJECT TO HER RELEASE…. DID YOU KNOW THEY HAVE SPENT OVER 500,000 JUST GUARDING HER HOSPITAL ROOM.. DOES THE STATE HAVE TO BE AS COMPASIONLESS AS THE WORST MURDERERS…

  • Diana

Let her rot in prison. Why are they even giving her medical care? Just let her die already.

  • LJH

Ted – I don’t understand your point. The fact is, those murders did happen; every person involved in those murders is still behind bars and should remain so until they have drawn their final breaths. Susan Atkins has had 6 months to live for well over a year. Let her have 20 more “six months to live” for all I care, so long as she does her living & dying as an inmate.

  • SKV

Susan Atkins has some real nerve asking for compassionate release. She and her people have overlooked the fact that she is being absolutely showered with compassion: 1) The death penalty was compassionately overturned 2) She has been granted the compassionate privilege of loving a man and marrying him 3) She has been fed, clothed, protected and educated by the compassionate people of California. 2) She has benefited from spiritual guidance compassionately supplied by the people of California. 4) She has the oppurtunity -17 times- to please her case to a parole board.

She has been cared for with more compassion than most people in this world have ever experienced. She has NOT EARNED THE RIGHT TO DIE IN THE LOVING ARMS OF HER HUSBAND. That is not compassion – that would be REWARDING her for serving her sentence as a well behaved inmate. She is in prison due to the horrendous slaughter she committed against other human beings. Her cancer has absolutely no bearing on her paying for her crime. She will be allowed to die with dignity in jail, that, in my opinion, is more than she has earned in this lifetime. It’s absolutely nauseating to think that she deserves to be released from jail.

Went up on the murderess’ website. Her husband said she had 3 months to live at her last parole hearing in July 2008. I am sure there is a purpose in this. Personally these prisoners who are so-called born again Christians concern me as to what type of Christians they are – for instance, what kind of teaching did they get – are they truly believers? For the most part when I encounter them – they don’t even know what a true believer is. And after review of her website – I think definitely not, particularly the “Helter Skelter myth” link. I agree with the person who said the husband wants her out for his book. That sounds much more plausible. Her husband – another manipulator/opportunist. The murders still affect me and they occurred when I was in college. I remember feeling incredulous fear as I read about them and II was on the East Coast. So terrifying in their brutality, lust, depravity and evil. I do believe the girls/women knew the difference between right and wrong and they made their choices for which they should be held accountable due to the gravity of their crimes. They chose to lie, steal and brutally murder. They enjoyed it. They chose to be part of this family. Parole should be denied again. She has still not made herself fully accountable and continues to come up with excuses to cast aside or diminish the part she chose to play. It is is ultimately between her and God. Let it remain as it is. And if they need help keeping the costs down – I am sure some forensic accountants can review those costs which are probably corruptly inflated.

May she die a miserable death!!!!

I hope all her limbs are amputated and then her head which is rotting a bit inside!!!!

I feel sorry for Susan Atkins health problems, however what about Sharon Tate life. I hope that she is denied parole for the 18th time…no matter what her medical condition is now, that does NOT change the fact that she participated in murdering several people!
Her husband wants a book so he marries Susan Atkins, he is a gold digger
    PLEASE, PLEASE, keep her prison.

I feel for her as far as her health problems are concerned but should remain in prison!!!! you commet a crime you do the time!!!

  • Lynn

I think it all comes down to KARMA…what goes around, comes around. NONE of these murderers should EVER be released. Everybody in prison finds GOD…what else is there. I wonder if GOD’s found them. Bet not! Let ’em rot.

  • MARY ANNE

SUSAN ATKINS must be releaseee!! you are just as worst as them by not forgiving her…. if you believe in god you should feel ashamed for feeling hatred.. God forgave her before she even thought of murdering S. Tate n her unborn child…

she has been a good person for more time than she was a horrible monster… God gave her the chance to change..she did..

stop promoting hatred…. if she is nolonger a sanger to society she can be free… under the definition of what a parole is…

I know its difficult to forget the horrible thing she did… and IT COULD NEVER BE JUSTIFIED… but it can be forgiving….

if we do not forgive…. i dont think we should even believe we are better people than her….

  • LittleMo

Those of you that are coming down so hard on the rest of us to “forgive” get off your moral high horse and quit patting yourselves on the back. Being forgiven DOES NOT mean that you get to forfeit all or part of the cost that must be paid for what you have done. Forgiving Susan Atkins does not mean that she gets to shake off what she did as missing things, people, and the life she used to have is part of the price she owes for her crime. No matter how you put it, it doesn’t matter how much time has passed, the families of Sharon Tate and the others are still, and will always be, mourning a loved one. To be honest, if Susan was within days of dying – or as near to days as any doctor could estimate – I could live with letting her go home to die then, but not when she could conceivably have weeks or months left. Being compassionate for the last few days of her life is one thing but I don’t think she should be able to enjoy any amount of life or the freedoms that she took from her victims.

  • Fair is fair

She carved up an innocent woman and taunted her while killing her and her unborn child. She should not be let out of prison. She’ll die a more pleasant death than her victims did.

  • MARLA

MARY ANNE– If she gets paroled, maybe she can stay at your house and you can change her bedpan, dirty diapers, feed her, and read to her from the bible. I’d say take a look at the pics of the murder and the carnage that waste of human flesh participated in, but you are too idiotic to reason with.

  • Dale

to Marry Ann i hope and pray to god that some off the wall people break in to you house and for no good reasson stab and shot you family then you can get up and say i forgive them after all you are so forgiving this is one of the worst things that has happend in our great country i DONT want people like that on the streets with me or my Family l hope and i am sure all of them will die in prison
