Sarah and Todd Palin Respond to David Letterman’s Crude Joke About Their Daughter

From the David Letterman Show last night. David Letterman goes after Sarah Palin’s daughter, single mother 19 year old Bristol as a prostitute of former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer or did he confuse Palin’s 14 year old daughter Willow who accompanied her mother on the New York trip?

I had the entire Flap here earlier in the morning.

Here is the response from the Palins:

“Any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too.”

– Todd Palin

“Concerning Letterman’s comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he’d ever dare make such comments about anyone else’s daughter): ‘Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands – that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone’s daughter, contribute to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.'”

– Governor Sarah Palin

I mentioned a possible boycott of CBS’ sponsors of the Letterman Show the other day and it might have some legs. But, look for some dumbass Letterman apology on a Friday night when nobody is watching to stave off a decline in ad dollars.

Is Letterman truly this desperate for ratings or just this afraid of Sarah Palin simply showing up in NY?? Between Letterman and Couric, no wonder CBS ratings are so low. There is nothing lower than a grown man attacking an innocent child like this on National TV!!

Letterman is just worried Conan’s going to take all his viewers away. I know I have left letterman. If you havn’t you will! Conan is so much better.

Todd we are all sick of letterman’s political patheticness kick him in the head!

wonder what NYC child abuse laws are. Where I live if an adult man makes sexualized comments towards a child (the 14 yr old) then he can be charged with sexual abuse of a child-& get all the wonderful side benefits that go along with being a convicted child molester,

Letterman needs to go. I’m for freedom of free speech, but, not at the expense of a 14-year old being attacked. Aren’t their laws prohibiting this? I’d probably be writing this from jail if I said what he said.

Are those of you under the impression that he was referring to Willow really believe it? Do you really think that the girl he was talking about was NOT the one who just toured the country holding her baby and talking about abstinence only education? Isn’t it more believable that Letterman just didn’t know which daughter was there and mixed them up? I mean come on. I think there’s a lot more outrage over this than there needs to be. Sometimes it seems like people are just looking for a reason to be angry. Bringing up accusations of pedophilia and all of that is ridiculous and quite frankly a lot more tasteless than Letterman’s jokes. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I think Todd and Letterman should lock themselves in a room for an hour and “discuss” his late night sexuall verbal attacks on his woman and daughter. Then he can joke about what happened on his next show; that is if he is in any condition to do so. I never really had an opinion of Letterman one way or the other, I could take him or leave him. Now however, he doesn’t have to worry (and I know he won’t) about me ever watching his show again. Any respect I had for this man has totally disappeared. Being a Christian Todd is showing great restraint; because he knows that God has said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” If Todd repays he’d be in prison a long time.
