You’re still at it, eh? Making ridiculous accusations without any merit or substance. Can you please point out exactly where in this mailer there is any vote buying going on?

  • Samantha

The people still at it are the Romney defenders. Romney paid for high school and college kids to attend CPAC and bought their straw poll ballots so he could win and this is nothing new as he does it in all straw polls.

Rudy is the smart one not to waste his money on meaningless straw polls. I have run them before and they are money makers for whoever is putting them on and nothing more.

Man, I can never get a straight answer out of you. I have a great collection of evasive and non-committal “rebuttals” to my challenges of your assertions. For once, would you please just answer the question? Whether I’m serious or not is irrelevant: I asked the question. Answer it directly or retract your assertion.

More evasion. I’ve read it a couple of times. Please point to the offending “vote buying” offer in it. Direct citations would be helpful.

Try reading the section above in the direct mail piece that starts with Sign up Today and Receive.

How much is Romney paying you?

Oh man, are you kidding? You’re going to have to level the same accusation against every candidate in the past 50 years then. There’s not a single one that hasn’t made the exact same kind of offers, which is (obviously) why Romney hasn’t gotten in trouble for this. It’s common, accepted and perfectly legal practice.

Stop trying to mislead your four readers, dude.

I don’t know any candidate that has bribed or paid me for my vote in any GOP straw poll or convention.

And, if you bring five more voters with you to vote for Mitt, you get a free t-shirt.

    Such a deal.

By the way, you haven’t answered my question.

How much is Romney paying you?

You guys have an interesting interpretation of that flyer. I do think that it is ridiculous that candidates can buy their own tickets, however Romney is not the only candidate doing it, therefore it seems unfair to specifically point fingers at just him.

Mitt is bribing a small contingent of Iowa voters in a dog and pony show that means nothing.

And which other candidates are paying for votes?

    Not Thompson, Rudy or McCain.
