Florida First Responders endorse Rudy Giuliani for President

Rudy on the stump in Florida downplays the polls and asks for Floridian’s vote.

Don’t listen to any of the cynics. Don’t listen to any of the experts — you’re the experts,” he yelled as his supporters, packed into a restaurant on St. Armand’s Circle, whooped and chanted, “Rudy, Rudy, Rudy.”

“Vote for hope, vote for a better America, vote for a better Florida,” he said just 72 hours before voters go to the polls. “Vote for positive things, because positive things can change society. … That’s why I want your vote.”

As Flap has said for months, whoever wins the Florida media campaign will be the GOP nominee. The race is close and fluid.

Will there be any more last minute endorsements or developments?

    I intentionally avoided the Sunday Talk Show fest today but some with whom I had breakfast said that virutally aii of the pundits have written off Rudy, including, I am sorry to say, George Will.

    We shall see. Here’s hoping that the talking heads will suffer great embarrassment Tuesday.

    Writing Rudy off the pundits do at their own peril. Rudy was on Face the Nation this morning and was confident as could be that he is going to win on Tuesday. His campaign is showing that same type of assurance that he is going to win. Knew Iowa, NH, SC, MI were lost causes before the vote but this one is different. All those votes already banked are going to put Rudy over the top.

    The media is trying too hard to convince everyone it is between McCain and Romney like Rudy doesn’t exist but they are forgetting to tell the crowds that are out in full force throughout Florida to see only one candidate who is Rudy Giuliani.

    Gov Crist sold out to a candidate that supports FEMA not Cat insurance so who do you think the voters of FL are going to support? McCain who loves FEMA, Romney who cannot make up his mind, or Rudy who stands with Floridians and others of us in states where weather can play havoc at any time. This Rudy supporter is betting they will support Rudy not the two school yard bullies fighting each other.

    Gov Rick Perry of Texas will be in Florida supporting Rudy canceling appointments to be down there to not only support Rudy but TX is also affected by weather and needs Cat insurance. Gov Perry and Attorney General McCollum of FL endorsed Rudy and unlike Crist who changed his mind at the last minute backstabbing Rudy, believe in Mayor Giuliani and his ability to get the job done on security of this Nation and economic issues. Gov Perry and AG McCollum are two men of character and honor and they support the same type of candidate. Doesn’t say a whole lot for Crist now does it?

    Thanks for the encouragement. As noted, it is interesting that Rudy is drawing the biggest crowds–a real disconnect with the polls and remarks by the talking heads.

    Crist might be called a “fair weather” friend. He will accept your support and pose for photos with you and then a couple of days later will endorse your opponent.

    Something doesn’t seem right here.

    Oh yeah! IT is called lack of integrity.

    Also, if Rudy were sunk why would the crowds continue to turn out?

    This race is closer than folks think.

    There is a post at Race42008 that reports from the ground in Florida that internals show Rudy taking over the lead within the last 48 hours with McCain and Romney fighting for second. The word is that Rudy’s voters are secure and enthusiastic. The word is that McCain’s camp shows the same results.

    Perhaps these are the internals that Flap has been referring to the last couple of days.

    Been hearing the same thing. I was told in the last 24 hours to turn off my TV to liberal pundits and pollsters because “we are going to win on Tuesday!”

    Rudy is the ONLY one with a ground game to speak of in FL and with banked votes. One of the Cuban leaders who is a council member in S. Florida said that the Cuban community target for Rudy has been reached and they have delivered and then some!

    My favorite Governor will be in FL tomorrow to campaign for Rudy. Sent him a Thank You email for standing by his support of Rudy. He will be standing by in Texas after Florida to help win Texas for Rudy!

    I don’t know too much about Governor Perry other than hearing him speak when he endorsed Rudy. He is one heck of a speaker!!
