News Item: Clinton says U.S. could “totally obliterate” Iran
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton warned Tehran on Tuesday that if she were president, the United States could “totally obliterate” Iran in retaliation for a nuclear strike against Israel.
On the day of a crucial vote in her nomination battle against fellow Democrat Barack Obama, the New York senator said she wanted to make clear to Tehran what she was prepared to do as president in hopes that this warning would deter any Iranian nuclear attack against the Jewish state.
“I want the Iranians to know that if I’m the president, we will attack Iran (if it attacks Israel),” Clinton said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
“In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them,” she said.
“That’s a terrible thing to say but those people who run Iran need to understand that because that perhaps will deter them from doing something that would be reckless, foolish and tragic,” Clinton said.
Hillary was and is pandering to Jewish voters in Pennyslvania, Florida and New York. Who is she trying to kid?
HRC has no credibility on the right and the left thinks she is a sabre-rattler and warmonger.

This is very disturbing and I am truely appalled. Hillary has once again put the American people in harm’s way with her off the top of the head rhetoric. We definitely don’t need this misfit of a character continously placing the American people in such a position. In the past the Clinton campaign have had people killed, so what does she care. Not to mention the lie she told on Bosnia, Hillary is a threat to not only herself but the American people as well.

doesn’t the west relies any major attack on iran will send oil prices spiralling upward and would send economies into meltdown. so any attack on iran will effect the whole western world. could you imagine what $10 a gallon for petrol would do to the worlds economy. so hillary is just blowing hot air and she knows it. if oil prices rise to a unacceptable level israel is finished ,with many immigating to other more affordable countries .the USA couldn’t afford to keep israel afloat with inflated oil prices thus the cost of living in israel could reach unacceptable levels .

There would be disruption for a few weeks until the Iranian navy and air force are totally destroyed. Then, Iran would capitulate, a regime change would occur and Iran would sell oil to the United States again.
No downside I can see – all upside.
