Actually, Chris, it is quite easy to understand. Both Democrats and Republicans are POLITICIANS and it is the duty of American voters to keep an eye on them.
And, from time to time, throw their asses out of office when the breach the public trust.
I feel such an election is coming in November 2010.

So what expectations do you have for the November election? As you say yourself, they are all politicians; all the same, just with different voices.
