Chris, with the state of “PUBLIC” education, can you really blame any parent’s desire to home school their child? Over the past forty years the state supported school system has been a colossal failure and a nanny state for the National Education Association (teacher’s union).
Shameful as it is, the Obama Administration undoubtedly will throw more federal money at the problem by borrowing from foreign countries.
The problem is the state and government – doesn’t anyone want to listen?

I agree the solution is not throwing more money when the problem is that it is mismanaged by the government. What we need is to privatize education. On average it costs less per student to go to private schools, so it would actually cost less but competition is the only solution in a capitalistic country.
