Aren’t we glad in our American system of jurisprudence it is “innocent until proven guilty?” The Dominique Strauss-Kahn case is a disaster and one has to wonder how this can happen?

The answer is easy: the American immigration system which needs a complete review and overhaul by Congress and the Executive branch.

In any case, this fellow will be going home soon to France and the maid will be detained but then will disappear into the ether of immigration courts and hearings.

Alice and I had a great run in Santa Monica with the Los Angeles Running Club. Alice who is rehabilitating a torn calf muscle ran three miles and I did my customary 8 miles. Next week, I will start ramping up the mileage to prepare for the Disneyland Half Marathon in September. However, there will be a different course, as I will be visiting friends in Indianapolis.
