Sarah Palin Watch: Authenticity

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, her family and authenticity.

“Authenticity is the most important characteristic for someone seeking public office,” said Nick Ayers, executive director of the Republican Governors Association. “Any news that comes out about her is not going to hurt her because it reinforces the point that she is authentically one of us.”

Unlike running mates from both parties, dating back decades, the Palin family isn’t part of the moneyed elite or the governing class. Neither wife nor husband is the scion of a well-connected family. Sarah Palin attended a state school, and her brushes with the law are of the same nettlesome kind that drive recreational fishermen crazy in all 50 states.

“Look at the nature of this: small-town mayor, marrying the high school sweetheart — these are the kinds of things you’d see in a Budweiser commercial as opposed to an Amstel Light commercial,” said South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. “She wasn’t born of political pedigree, and people like that.”

Like Flap said the first time.

The relentless personal attacks from the LEFT on Sarah Palin are appearing to be the same anti-woman attacks experienced by Hillary Clinton. Susan Estrich appearing on Fox News this morning has said these attacks on Palin’s daughter are SEXISM and OFFENSIVE to Women.

Will this hurt Palin with voters, especially women?

Are you kidding me?

Flap bets Obama will try to squelch these ludicrous graphs by the afternoon – if he can.

Update:

Or maybe not.

In an interview on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 Monday night, Obama was asked about whether his experience in the U.S. Senate dealing with weather-related situations compares to Palin’s executive experience running the state of Alaska and as the small town mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

“My understanding is that Gov. Palin’s town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We’ve got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million dollars a year – we have a budget of about three times that just for the month,” Obama responded.

Our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the past couple of years and certainly in terms of the legislation I’ve passed in the past couple of years, post-Katrina.”

Snob Obama raises his ugly head again…..
