John McCain Watch: Speech Excerpts from the Republican National Convention

    McCainatRNC

    From the Republican National Committee:

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – This evening U.S. Sen. John McCain will accept the Republican Party’s nomination for President of the United States. Excerpts from Sen. McCain’s acceptance speech, as prepared for delivery, are below.

On running mate Alaska Governor Sarah Palin:

“I’m very proud to have introduced our next Vice President to the country. But I can’t wait until I introduce her to Washington. And let me offer an advance warning to the old, big spending, do nothing, me first, country second Washington crowd: change is coming.”

    On solving problems in Washington:

“The constant partisan rancor that stops us from solving these problems isn’t a cause, it’s a symptom. It’s what happens when people go to Washington to work for themselves and not you.

Again and again, I’ve worked with members of both parties to fix problems that need to be fixed. That’s how I will govern as President. I will reach out my hand to anyone to help me get this country moving again. I have that record and the scars to prove it. Senator Obama does not.”

    On love of country:

“I fell in love with my country when I was a prisoner in someone else’s. I loved it not just for the many comforts of life here. I loved it for its decency; for its faith in the wisdom, justice and goodness of its people. I loved it because it was not just a place, but an idea, a cause worth fighting for. I was never the same again. I wasn’t my own man anymore. I was my country’s.”

But, the truth is she voted for a bill vetoed by then Governor Gray Davis. And, why did Gray Davis veto the bill?

Oh, because it undermined Proposition 13.

Hannah-Beth Jackson = Taxin’ Jackson who cannot get her facts straight.

    The Sarah Palin Biography Video

Watch the video you didn’t see on TV at the 2008 Republican National Convention!

This RNC video was booted off the program last night because Rudy Giuliani ran long (which judging by the applause is understandable).

It will be played tonight at the Republican National Convention.

Sarah Palin Watch: “So She Can Read a Teleprompter. Big Deal”

    sarahpalinandteleprompter

Republican vice presidential candidate Alaska Governor Sarah Palin blows a kiss in the direction of her family after walking to the podium on stage to address the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, September 3, 2008

Palin Derangement Syndrome was clearly evident on television last night.

But later in the evening on Larry King, the snide brigade came out. Ed Schultz, who called Palin a bimbo, said, “So she can read a teleprompter. Big deal.”

Jamal Simmons began by saying “it was a pretty good speech,” but later added, “She read it well off the teleprompter. They wrote a good speech for her.”

But, apparently she can improvise and deliver an electrifying speech without the teleprompter.

Palin Derangement Syndrome from the LEFT all of the time.
