President 2012 GOP Poll Watch: Do You Want Sarah Palin to Run for President?

  • All Voters: Yes – 25% Vs. No – 66%
  • Republicans: 34% Vs. No – 54%
  • Tea Parry Supporters: Yes – 38% Vs. 50%

Among all voters, views of Sarah Palin are equally negative among men and women; majoritiesof each hold negative views. Among conservatives, views are mixed (37% favorable and 35%unfavorable).

But Palin is better-liked among Tea Party supporters; 48% of them have a favorable opinion ofher, and 27% are unfavorable. She is well-liked among Republican women and Republicanconservatives as well.

Though she is not a candidate, Sarah Palin’s recent tour is making headlines and there hasbeen speculation that she may run for the nomination. However, most Republicans say theydon’t want to see her run. Even Tea Party supporters are mainly against the notion.
