Hillary Clinton Watch: Presidential Archive Material to be Made Available to the Public?

ramireztoon100207web

Bowing to public pressure, Bill Clinton era archived Presidential papers involving then First Lady Hillary Clinton will be made available to the public sometime in early 2008.

The Clinton library is readying a trove of detail about Hillary Rodham Clinton’s eight years as first lady in the White House for release in late January, government lawyers said in a court filing.

The New York Democratic senator faces growing questions about her husband’s resistance to releasing some documents from the Clinton administration, which ended nearly seven years ago.

Clinton rival Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) criticized her at the Oct. 30 debate for not releasing more White House documents.

“We have just gone through one of the most secretive administrations in our history. And not releasing, I think, these records — at the same time, Hillary, that you’re making the claim that this is the basis for your experience — I think, is a problem,” he said.

This is good for the public to see what involvement Hillary had in her husband’s Presidential affairs.  This may not be so good for Hillary but the public must have this material available to evaluate her experience for the Presidency.

Now, will Bill Clinton release the donor list for his Presidential library?

This list while not required by law to be publicly disclosed, MUST be.  And prior to November 2008.

Stay tuned…….

    Flap,

It is my understanding that Tony Strickland ( candidate for state senate CA-19) also voted in favor of giving drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens. Was he wrong to do that? Have you ever heard him say it was a mistake? I was shocked he did that and it impressed me that he voted his conscience on such an unpopular bill.

I am not defending his vote, I am saying it amazes me when a politician does what they think is right even though it can cost them votes, support, or an election.

It will be an issue if he has a contested primary.

Since the Democrats support this idea I doubt they will attack Tony from the Right.

Do you know of any conservative opposition to Strickland?

Do you oppose him? Do you want a candidate to run against him? Does this issue not matter to you? You seem to be upset with Hillary to no end for holding the Strickland position.

Does he get a pass? A nice little slap on the wrist that says I don’t agree but will support you anyways?

If it is a big issue your support of him would be odd. If it isn’t a big issue to you why are you writing about it all the time?

BTW, not every Democrat supports it. But Arnold says he does if he can work out security questions.

    Brian,

    Relax, it is early.

Should the term limits measure pass, you Democrats will be saddled with Tom McClintock for another four years. 🙂

And, remember, one or a few bad votes does not an opponent make.

The bigger issue with Hillary is her equivocation or parsing of EVERY issue.
