John McCain’s Mother Trashes Mormons of Salt Lake for Olympic Scandal
Republican Presidential hopeful, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and his 95-year-old mother Roberta McCain get ready for a live interview with Hard Ball’s Chris Mathews, Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in a hotel room in Meredith, N.H.
Of course, Senator John McCain disavowed the remarks of his mother, Roberta:
When asked about former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s experience by Hardball host Chris Matthews, Roberta McCain, who’s campaigning in New Hampshire with her son at the age of 95, said “as far as the Salt Lake City thing, he’s a Mormon and the Mormons of Salt Lake City had caused that scandal. And to clean that up, it’s not a subject.”
A new found
vigordesperation in the McCain campaign or did the GOP Presidential campaign just turn NASTY?

Who is the Girlie Man, Arnold?
Is California Governor Arnod Schwarzenegger the legitimate GIRLIE MAN?
No, just a failed Governor ala Jesse Ventura.
Flap bets the California budget deficit next year will be north of $10 billion while Arnold plays with health care for illegal aliens and global warming law suits against the feds.
The Money Quote from the Governator:
“I am not suggesting that if we fix health care our budget problems disappear. But we also don’t need to get bogged down every year in a debate about cutting poor kids and their families from state health programs,” he said in a statement.
Update:
Arnold’s health care bill has finally made the legislature. The bill has NO authors since Schwarenegger has been unable to get a GOP legislator to sponsor the bill since it involves numerous tax increases.
Update #2:
The Democrat’s health care bill is here.Â

James Dobson to Endorse Mike Huckabee?
It is rumored that within the next ten days, Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family will endorse Southern Baptist minister and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for President. An influential social conservative Evangelical leader of the Christian RIGHT, Dobson has previously ruled out supporting Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Fred Thompson.
Now, with Mike Huckabee rising in the polls nationally and especially in Iowa is Dobson ready to jump on his political bandwagon?
But, Huckabee’s campaign is woefully underfunded. Will Dobson’s support be enough to put Huckabee in the top tier, despite the money shortfall?
So, who wins?
Huckabee and Giuliani (divides the social conservative vote in Iowa and South Carolina – delivers 3rd place in Iowa)
Who loses?
Mitt Romney who has ACTIVELY courted the pro-life social conservative vote and who now must contend in Iowa and South Carolina with Mike Huckabee.
Fred Thompson loses. He will finish NO higher than 4th place in Iowa or New Hampshire. A slight lead he currently enjoys in South Carolina will it hold up?
Did the Pat Robertson endorsement prove to be the GAMBIT that delivers the GOP nomination to Rudy? And, possibly the VP to Huckabee?
Stay tuned…….
