The gloves are off in South Carolina between Team McCain and Team Romney.
Team McCain calls Mitt Romney:

- A Flip-Flopper
- Classless
Team Romney calls John McCain:
- Pessimist
- Nay-Sayer
- Ready to give up on the future
Actually, these are accurate assessments for both candidates.

Man, the gloves have come off in South Carolina. Hopefully, Rudy helps himself by staying out of the mud. I did notice from the coverage of Rudy in Florida that he is making the point that he is the real tax cutter among the republican candidates. His latest ad makes the same point.
I do like the new ad.

The ad is ok but the campaign has to do more. They have a great candidate and need to create more BUZZ for the Mayor.
They need to have him do more national media while he is in Florida. For example, radio in California.
Why hasn’t he been on Letterman? or Leno? Or O’Brien?

Rudy is doing radio in California ( Mark Larson today ) and he will be in California for 3 days the end of January. I have been told that he sat down with Bill O’Reilly last week. I assume that will air soon.
I was told that Jeffrey Toobin last night on CNN was trashing Rudy for not competing in every primary, and his 3% in Michigan would be the death of his campaign. Do you think that most of the media is fearful that Rudy’s strategy will work and that they will have to report on his come back after Florida?

I think the strategy is correct except the campaign is executing it poorly. Why isn’t Rudy on many radio stations in Los Angeles and/or San Francisco daily?
Certainly he can fit this into his schedule.
The events he is doing in Florida seem mundane.
He needs to be doing more and more right away. Frankly, for the money he has paid DuHaime and the rest I am not impressed.
Rudy is from New York. Didn’t he learn about BUZZ from Donald Trump?
