While the Democratic National Committee’s Rules and Bylaws Commitee work out a plan to nominate Barack Obama or to screw Hillary Clinton, Flap will be off for a day of an eye exam, and shopping at the Glendale Galleria and other assorted venues in the greater Los Angeles area.
Watch the Donkey on Donkey action at the DNC here.
Flap might stop by the Tony Strickland event in Camarillo as well.
I will post photos of the sojourn. They can be found at Twitter, Friendfeed and Flap’s Flickr Photostream.

Maxine Waters is a long time Democrat Congresswoman from the Los Angeles area of Southern California and has been an embarrASSment for years. She is far left and usually runs with little competition in her safe, California Democrat gerrymandered, African American based district.
“This liberal will be all about socializing, uh, uh … would be about … basically taking over and the government running all of your companies,” Rep. Maxine Waters told oil executives on May 22 during yet another show-trial congressional hearing.
The same government that manages Medicare, Social Security, the Veterans Administration, FEMA, etc. etc. you want managing the oil and gas distribution in this country?
Uh, NO THANKS.
Flap prefers driving……..

Both sexism and racism may play a role in the Presidential race but benefiting the GOP and John McCain. The red states will remain red states and the REAL Presidential race in the Electoral College will be limited to half a dozen states at the most.
But, the conventional wisdom is that the GOP will take a drubbing at the polls. Certainly this WILL be the case in the Congress with a good number of GOP retirements and the number of U.S. Senate seats to defend in states trending Democrat.
In case you missed it here are the comments of Rupert Murdoch made yesterday evening at a Wall Street Journal High Tech conference in California:
News Corp Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch on Wednesday predicted a Democratic landslide in the U.S. presidential election against a gloomy economic backdrop over the next 18 months.
“You have got the Obama phenomenon. You have got, undoubtedly, a recession … The average American is really getting hurt financially and that all bodes well for him (Obama), Murdoch said.
“You have probably the making of a complete phenomenon in this country,” Murdoch said in describing what he predicted will be a sweeping victory for Democrats in November.
There is a recurring theme for American business. They pick, fund and go with a political winner.
Not a good sign for the GOP.

The GOP was looking up with the “battle” between Hillary and Obama but then Scott McClellan blasts President Bush in his new book.
Great timing for the GOP – not.
This will be a tough election year for the GOP. But, there is still hope that the Democrats with Howard Dean will manage to screw up the Presidential election.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was an enjoyable watch this past weekend. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg should be congratulated for another fantastic film.
And, by the looks of the box office receipts, they and the studio are being rewarded.

Are you saying Chris that Obama has won the Democrat nomination by playing the “RACE CARD?”
Well, you are correct.
But, it won’t help him in the general election with a “THIN” legislative record and FAR LEFT POSITIONS on the issues.
In an otherwise Democrat Party year, John McCain WILL beat Obama in the fall.

John Hawkin’s bombshell over at Right Wing News cannot be a welcome development for Team McCain.
Will the lack of enthusiasm for McCain hasten his choice of a REAL conservative Vice President?
Likely, and it was just announced that President Bush will be hitting the campaign trail for McCain – driving the fundraising. This is a very good move. And, it is about time that Bush fights the anti-war left for his legacy.

Chris Muir Watch: It PAYS to Comment for John McCain
Sienfeld – Soup Nazi – NO SOUP FOR YOU!
Michelle Malkin explains the background of Chris Muir’s Day By Day cartoon of today.
John McCain’s “point†system for blog comment trolls is now a running joke across both sides of the Internet. RedState skewers the program here.
Here is Chris Muir’s cartoon from this morning:
Well, so much for enthusiasm in the conservative blogosphere for McCain who prefers “SOCK PUPPETS” to discussion of policy – especially that which may be critical of him.
Didn’t we see the same when McCain “blew Up” at Senator John Cornyn over the illegal alien amnesty bill last May? Not a pretty display of class for McCain.
Guess it is better to be safe than criticized.
Get those points and sock puppets ready or NO SOUP for you.

It PAYS to Comment for John McCain

Day By Day by Chris Muir May 22, 2008
President Bush has shown an inability to defend or even accurately communicate his policies – and much to the detriment of the GOP.
Now, John McCain is allowing the Left to portray him as a continuation of the inept Bush Administration – a Bush third term.
The President could finally help the GOP by going out on the stump to defend himself and the Republican Party. Bush needs to fight for his party and his legacy.
