Updated With Video CA-Gov : Jerry Brown Rips on Bill Clinton for Telling the Truth Then Apologizes

    ++++++++++Updated+++++++++++

Found another copy of the video here

Well, whoever posted the video of Jerry Brown dissing bill Clinton has now taken it down form Youtube. But, here are the juicy quotes:

Jerry Brown has spent much of his race for governor assaulting the character of his Republican rival Meg Whitman. But now, in a jaw-dropping bit of rhetoric, he’s extended his criticism to a former Democratic president, Bill Clinton. And he did so by referring obliquely to Clinton’s dalliance with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Meg Whitman. She stops at nothing. She’s even got Clinton lying about me. That’s right. No, did you see that? Where he said I raised taxes. It’s a lie, he told a crowd at an East Los Angeles event Sunday. & I mean Clinton’s a nice guy but whoever said he always told the truth? You remember, right? There’s that whole story there about did he or didn’t he. OK, I did& I did not have taxes with this state.

The last line was a play on Clintons defense against the brewing scandal in early 1998 that he had a relationship with Lewinsky. At the time, Clinton asserted, I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Clinton subsequently admitted to an improper relationship with her and faced impeachment proceedings.

Jerry Brown can LIE, but Governor Moonbeam cannot hide – from the truth that is.

Here is the devastating ad from Republican Meg Whitman exposing Jerry Brown’s tax rasing policy while he was California Governor during the 1970’s and 80’s.

Here are the facts from Factcheck.org and the State of California Department of Finance.

I don’t think California voters are going to think too highly of Jerry Brown for:

    1. Lying about former President Bill Clinton who, by the way, remains very popular in California.

    2. Lying about his tax raising policies and rewriting his history as California Governor.

    Update:

Now, Jerry Brown has apologized – at a hastily called news conference.

“Bill Clinton was an excellent president. It was wrong for me to joke about an incident from many years ago, and I’m sorry,” Brown said before attempting to steer the discussion back to questions about Whitman’s honesty.

“She hasn’t told the truth about my record as governor. She hasnt told the truth about my record as mayor. She hasn’t even told the truth about her own record,” Brown said. “I’ve made my share of mistakes, and my inappropriate joke about President Clinton is one of them. But from me you’ll always get the truth.”

    Uh Huh……

Jerry Brown is an OLD MORON – jeez…..

CA-Gov Video: More Bill Clinton Vs. Jerry Brown

This video features an heated debate between Bill Clinton and Jerry Brown during the 1992 Democratic Primaries. Things get personal when Brown attacks Hillary

Republican Meg Whitman has released more video clips of Bill Clinton making the case against Jerry Brown. Of course, this was in 1992 and Jerry was running for the Democratic nomination for President but the stuff is pretty good anyway.

Meg’s website is here and her clips are better. I will embed them in another post should they become available.

Here is another clip that has more about the Jerry Brown attack on Hillary Clinton.

CA-Gov Video: California Teachers Association Runs Anti-Whitman Ad

The California Teachers Association is part of the reason why California state government is bankrupt. But, this is par for the course for this big far left labor union.

By the way, didn’t Jerry Brown cut educational funding while he was California Governor and preside over a failing school system while Mayor of Oakland? But, never mind that, he is a darling of the unions for signing legislation allowing collective bargaining for public employees in 1978.

Meg Whitman for her part has proposed reforming the abysmal California schools.

On the campaign trail, Whitman has not said she wants to cut school funds but has proposed redirecting money from school administrative costs to the classroom. She’s also proposed creating more charter schools and setting up a bonus system to reward teachers and administrators.

Frankly, I don’t think either Whitman or Brown will do much for public education in California. The system is controlled by local boards of education whose members are in turn dependent upon the California Teachers Association for campaign cash and volunteers. They spend, spend, spend on failing schools and the California Legislature controlled by the Democrats obliges them.

Kind of like the inmates running the asylum.

CA-Gov Video: Meg Whitman Channels Bill Clinton to Attack Jerry Brown

Meg Whitman is using Bill Clinton to attack Jerry Brown in her latest campaign ad

OUCH! This is going to leave a mark.

Meg Whitman has enlisted a new spokesman in her attacks on Jerry Brown — former President Bill Clinton.

In a new ad hitting the airwaves today, Whitman uses footage from a 1992 presidential primary debate between Clinton and Brown.

“He raised taxes as governor of California,” Clinton says. “He had a surplus when he took office and a deficit when he left. He doesn’t tell the people the truth.”

And, there is no love lost between Bill Clinton and Jerry Brown to this day.

Charles and David Koch: Covert Operations?

Charles and David Koch of Koch Industries MIT-trained brothers turned family oil refining firm into America’s second largest private company. Koch Industries has stakes in pipelines, refineries, fertilizer, fibers and polymers, forest and consumer products, chemical technology. Sales in 2008: $110 billion. Brothers each own 42% of company. Employs 80,000 people and operates in 60 countries.

The New Yorker does a hit piece against these billionaire titans of business and industry. Their company, Koch Industries, website is here.

As if earning and spending your OWN money in order to influence public opinion is a crime or something.

And, the title is extremely misleading because the Kochs’ opposition to the Far Left Anti-Capitalism Agenda of the Democrats and specifically President Barack Obama is widely known.

Oh yeah and the writer had to mention that their father was a founding member of the John Birch Society. Well, Non-Reagan, I mean Ron Reagan’s father was a Republican President, too.

CA-Gov: Jodie Evans of Code Pink – Another Left Wing Radical for Jerry Brown

Cindy Sheehan, Jodie Evans, Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez and Medea Benjamin, January 28, 2006

Well, Jodie Evans of Code Pink infamy is associating herself with another FAR LEFT radical and this time it is California Attorney General and former Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown.

You might call him Governor Moonbeam, but I prefer Governor Double Dip, and there’s nothing harmlessly moonbeamy and charmingly hippie dippie about his doing business with Jode Evans, co-founder of the obnoxious anti-American group Code Pink and someone with a well-documented history of supporting terrorists and those countries that would do America harm.

You remember Jodie Evans and how she was booted out of the 2004 Republican National Committee. Here is the photo:

Jodie Evans being arrested at the Republican National Committee, September 2, 2004

Yes, the Code PINKOS have been an egregious bunch and frankly I don’t know why Jerry Brown would want to be so visibly associated with them. But, associated he is.

The Code Pink Marxists taunted wounded soldiers at Walter Reed, they traveled to Iraq to support Saddam Hussein before the war, they sent thousands of dollars to support Al-Qaeda in Fallujah, they’ve traveled to Afghanistan to meet with the Taliban, they’ve met the leaders of the Iranian regime…

They’ve met with Chavez at socialist conferences.

And, telling a Gold Star Mom that her son deserved to die In Iraq is about the icing on the cake.

I still clearly remember the day that I was summoned home by my oldest son Kristofer to find the Navy officers and chaplain waiting inside my home to tell me the most painful and agonizing words I would ever hear, “We are sorry to inform you that your son Marc Alan Lee was killed in action.”

August 2nd, 2006 forever changed my life. I don’t breathe the same, I don’t think the same, I don’t act the same, I don’t live the same. Everything I do since that day is much deeper and with greater passion. I cherish every moment that I breath, every person in my life, every hug and the precious gift of life. Since that day I have dedicated my life to honoring and supporting our troops, their families and especially the families of the fallen.

I have always been a patriot and understood that our men and women serving have paid for my freedoms but since the day Marc willingly sacrificed his life, I understand in a much deeper way the cost and sacrifice that our brave warriors and their families make. “Freedom isn’t free” is a reality not just a patriotic slogan…

In 2008 they barricaded the recruiting office in Berkeley with the blessing of the Berkeley City Council. We at Move America Forward had all we could stomach when we heard them tell the Marines they were unwelcome, unwanted intruders, not in Iraq or Afghanistan but on American soil in Berkeley, California. Americans from across the nation joined us in Berkeley to counter-protest these anti-war hippies. Numerous times they told me they support the troops but not the war, yet over and over when I asked if they had sent care packages, phone cards, written letters, or helped the families left behind in anyway, they conveniently couldn’t remember anything they had done. Yet they had a successful fundraiser to send $600,000.00 to our enemies in Iraq? Yet Jodie Evans and her Code Pink degenerates taunted me and made light of my son’s sacrifice telling me, “Your son deserved to die in Iraq if he was stupid enough to go over there.” It took every ounce of reserve in my body to not level these idiots to the ground. These same people who call terrorists “freedom fighters” says that my son, who gave up his life for their freedoms, deserved death.

Now Jodie Evans is at her fundraising efforts again, this time to support Jerry Brown for Governor of California. California is at the top of the list for military bases and boasts one of the largest populations of Veterans, yet Jerry Brown a past governor of the state and candidate for the office again, is willing to take thousands of dollars from one of the largest anti-war groups in America. What a slap in the face to all of our brave warriors who have fought and sacrificed so much for our freedoms.

Yep, there will be a protest over at Jodie Evan’s house during the fundraiser which is going on now at the time of the posting. I doubt it will make the nightly local news but sure there will be some clips on YouTube by tomorrow.

Now, Jerry Brown is a FAR LEFT POL, always has been and always will be. He associates himself with radical LEFTYS who associate with the enemies of America.

California voters should remember this in November.

Somehow, I do not think Republican Meg Whitman will be letting this go.

CA-Gov: Jerry Brown – A Lifetime in Politics: A Legacy of Failure

The Meg Whitman for Governor Campaign launched a new statewide ad today titled, “The Real Story.” This is the launch of the Campaign’s focus on Jerry Brown’s long, failed history in California politics: “A Lifetime in Politics, A Legacy of Failure.”

This ad is especially for all of the younger California voters who do not remember Governor Jerry Moonbeam Brown.

Brown was a horrid Governor and I don’t think Californians will give him another bite of the apple.

CA-Gov Poll Watch: Meg Whitman Vs. Jerry Brown

2010 California Gubernatorial General Election: Meg Whitman (R) vs Jerry Brown (D)

    2010 Governor from Rasmussen:

    • 43% Brown (D), 39% Whitman (R)
    • 45% Brown (D), 35% Poizner (R)
    • 43% Feinstein (D), 42% Whitman (R)
    • 43% Feinstein (D), 39% Poizner (R)

In the latest Rasmussen poll ol’ crusty Democrat Jerry Brown barely leads former e-Bay CEO Meg Whitman. Brown does better against California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner. But, the latest California Field Poll has Whitman far ahead of Poizner for the Republican nomination.

With the California economy in the dumper, I doubt that voters will be too happy electing a retread 70 year old whose lack of leadership was paramount during his first tenure as Governor decades ago. When Whitman cranks up the advertising, Brown’s numbers will fall like a rock.

By the way, Feinstein is comfy in the U.S. Senate and will stay there.
