Senator John Ensign Calls on All Democrats to Return MoveOn.org Contributions
Senator John Ensign, R- Nevada, calls on Democrats To return All MoveOn.Org Contributions.
“Today, ostensibly on behalf of National Democrats, Democrat front group MoveOn.org is calling a unanimously confirmed United States General a liar and betrayer of the public trust. Apparently the prospect of campaign funds is enough of an incentive for Senate Democrats to stand idly by while a respected General is maligned before he has even presented his report to Congress.
“If Senate Democrats are serious about moving our country forward, they will denounce this outrageous ad and return the campaign funds MoveOn.org has lavished on them as well as the donations made through MoveOn.org — the choice is theirs.”
But, Senator, MoveOn.org is the SURROGATE for the Democrat Party which is too weak to go on the record. The Democrats hide behind the skirts of MoveOn so they can elect Democrat Representatives in conservative red state districts.
Disingenuous and pathetic.
The Democrats should publicly denounce this ad and return the money.

Harry Reid Watch: Reid – American Military Leaders are “INCOMPETENT”
Reid labels military leader ‘incompetent’
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called Marine Gen. Peter Pace, the outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, “incompetent” during an interview Tuesday with a group of liberal bloggers, a comment that was never reported.
Reid made similar disparaging remarks about Army Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, said several sources familiar with the interview.
This is but the latest example of how Reid, under pressure from liberal activists to do more to stop the war, is going on the attack against President Bush and his military leaders in anticipation of a September showdown to end U.S. involvement in Iraq, according to Democratic senators and aides.
Isn’t this the same Democrat Senate Majority leader who “SURRENDERED” to President Bush on Iraq War funding just last month?
Reid lost and now needs to snipe at commanders in the field.
Nice and real classy – especially since he voted to confirm General Petraeus in January.
Flap supposes Reid needs to serve up some blue meat for his LEFT flank.
But, what about Iraq War policy?
Reid will NOW schedule a series of votes to hamper the Bush Defense Department.
Besides his comments about Pace and Petraeus, the Nevada Democrat also announced that he wants to hold more votes on ending or scaling back the U.S. military presence in Iraq.
He said Democrats would use an upcoming Defense authorization bill to continue the struggle with Bush over the conduct of the war, especially Bush’s “surge” plan to send more U.S. forces to Baghdad and surrounding regions in order to quell growing sectarian violence.
More political sniping is on the horizon. If Reid and the Democrats had ANY COJONES they would vote to defund the Iraq War and take responsibilities for the consequences.
But, they won’t. It is much easier to snipe, criticize and hold votes over and over again.
For Democrats, the Defense authorization bill is an attractive vehicle for their fight because the legislation sets policy, not funding levels, for the Pentagon, so Bush and Republicans cannot use the argument that Democrats are threatening to cut off funding for U.S. troops in the field.
Reid calling the Generals incompetent is the pot calling the kettle black. The Democrat controlled Congress has slumped in poll approval ratings and Reid must now compensate. So, look for more Iraq War votes, political posturing and ad nauseum carping on President Bush Iraq War policy.
Has Reid overplayed his hand in satiating the LEFT?

Iraq War Watch: Iraq Surge a Failure
Iraq surge a failure, top Democrats tell Bush
Top US congressional Democrats bluntly told President George W. Bush Wednesday that his Iraq troop “surge” policy was a failure.
Senate Majority leader Harry Reid and House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi challenged the president over Iraq by sending him a letter, ahead of a White House meeting later on Wednesday.
“As many had forseen, the escalation has failed to produce the intended results,” the two leaders wrote.
“The increase in US forces has had little impact in curbing the violence or fostering political reconciliation.
“It has not enhanced Americas national security. The unsettling reality is that instances of violence against Iraqis remain high and attacks on US forces have increased.
“In fact, the last two months of the war were the deadliest to date for US troops.
The letter appeared to preview a fresh showdown over Iraq between anti-war Democrats and the president, just a few weeks after Bush forced his foes to strip troop withdrawal timelines from a 100 billion dollar emergency war budget.
And the Democrat leaders can assess the Iraq War situation how?
Senate Majory Leader has already stated that the Iraq War was LOST. Yet, he and his Democrat colleagues capitulated to the President a few weeks ago and funded the “surge.”
So, is this more political posturing?
You betcha
The Surrender Monkey Democrats had NO COJONES to defund the troops so they will snipe at the President and HOPE/ENCOURAGE his policy fails.
There is nothing like being on the same team with the Democrats. Is there?
Pelosi and Reid told Bush in the letter that they planned to send him new legislation to “limit the US mission in Iraq, begin the phased redeployment of US forces, and bring the war to a responsible end.”
On Tuesday, Reid said that Senate Democrats would attach troop withdrawal deadlines to a Defense Department Authorization bill, due to be debated within weeks.
This legislation will meet a certain veto by President Bush. So, why are Reid and Pelosi pushing for an Iraq War surrender?
Why, to score cheap political points and appease their anti-war LEFT flank.
Disgraceful……..

Iran Nuclear Watch: Lieberman – “Aggressive Military Action” Against Iran
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, right, talks with U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman and his wife Hadassa during their meeting in Jerusalem Sunday June 3, 2007.
Washington Times: Lieberman suggests strikes over Iran
Sen. Joe Lieberman says the United States should be prepared to take “aggressive military action” against Iran in response to its purported killings of U.S. troops inside Iraq.
“I think we’ve got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians to stop them from killing Americans in Iraq,” the Connecticut independent said during an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “And to me, that would include a strike over the border into Iran, where we have good evidence that they have a base at which they are training these people coming back into Iraq to kill our soldiers.”
Mr. Lieberman, who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, recently returned from a trip to the region and said there is evidence that “as many as 200 American soldiers” have been killed by Iranians and Iranian-trained forces. Mr. Lieberman remained firm when asked whether he was suggesting strikes against Iran.
“I am. And I want to make clear I’m not talking about a massive ground invasion of Iran, but we have good evidence,” he said. “If they don’t play by the rules, we’ve got to use our force and to me that would include taking military action to stop them from doing what they’re doing.”
Of course, this makes sense.
The United States is fighting a “PROXY WAR” against Iran. There is clear and convincing evidence that Iran is killing American soldiers in Iraq.

And then there is Iran’s nuclear program.
A high-ranking American military officer told the Post that senior officers in the US armed forces had thrown their support behind Bush and believed that additional steps needed to be taken to stop Iran.
Predictions within the US military are that Bush will do what is needed to stop Teheran before he leaves office in 2009, including possibly launching a military strike against its nuclear facilities.
On Sunday, Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut said the US should consider a military strike against Iran over its support of Iraqi insurgents.
Lieberman is RIGHT.
Should Iran reach nuclear “BREAKOUT CAPABILITY” Israel will cease to exist. Iran will threaten nuclear attacks directly or give their nuclear materials to terrorists who will launch attacks against the Jews.
Israelis will have the choice: relocate and abandon their homeland or nuclear extermination.
The United States and Israel understand the stakes here.
Yet, Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader of the United States Senate thinks otherwise: Reid says U.S. strike on Iran would be destabilizing
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid rejected on Monday another prominent senator’s call for a military strike against Iran, saying a U.S. attack would destabilize the Middle East.
Sen. Joseph Lieberman, an independent from Connecticut and chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, said over the weekend the United States should be prepared to use military force to stop Iran from training and equipping Iraqi militants blamed for the deaths of U.S. troops in Iraq.
Iran has denied supplying Iraqis with armor-piercing munitions and U.S. officials say they cannot prove complicity on the part of the Tehran government.
But Lieberman, appearing on CBS’ Sunday program “Face the Nation,” said the United States had “good evidence” that Iraqis were being trained to use the weapons at a camp inside Iran. He advocated a military strike in retaliation, saying much of the job could be done with air strikes.
“The invasion of (Iran) is only going to destabilize that part of the world more,” Reid said on Monday after speaking at a forum hosted by the Center for American Progress think tank.
“I know Joe means well, but I don’t agree with him,” the Nevada Democrat added. He advocated continued diplomatic efforts with Iran instead.
The questions are:
Will Senator Joe Lieberman tolerate the Democrat’s appeasement policies towards Iran?
Or will he jump ship from an independent to the GOP? Thus, making the GOP the majority party
And will American Jews support President Bush’s inevitable military action against Iranian nuclear sites?
Stay tuned…….

Michael Ramirez on Iran
Iran Adding Attack Boats in Persian Gulf, U.S. Says
Iran is increasing its fleet of small attack boats capable of challenging warships and disrupting oil traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, the sea route for two-fifths of the world’s daily supply of crude oil, the U.S. Navy says.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps already has more than 1,000 of the speedboats “and continues to add boats armed with anti- ship cruise missiles,” said Robert Althage, spokesman for the U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence.
“Iran still states that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps will employ swarming tactics in a conflict,” Althage said in an e-mail. Naval intelligence, in its latest report on threats, said an attack against U.S. forces and commercial tankers “could include over 100 boats in coordinated groups of 20 to 30 approaching simultaneously from multiple axes.”
The U.S. has two carrier groups in the Persian Gulf. The commander of these forces, Vice Admiral Kevin Cosgriff, said the attack boats have “a significant military capability.” His fear is that Iran’s central leadership might not have enough control over this Revolutionary Guard force to ensure against unauthorized attacks.
Right! Iran wants to help the United States and Iraq.
How do you spell foolish notion?

But, they were fully briefed – whatever that means, since their staff did not read it either.
Obama called Edwards out for his support on the war but does it matter? Or affect frontrunner Hillary?
