John Kerry – “Rush Limbaugh was Tampering with the Primary”
In a telephone conference call this morning, Democrat Massachusetts Senator John Kerry blames Rush Limbaugh for Barack Obama’s loss to Hillary Clinton in Indiana last night.
“Rush Limbaugh was tampering with the primary,” Kerry said “If it was not for Republicans taking Democratic ballots, he would have won,” he said of Obama.
(I’m not sure that’s true. The margin was about 18,500; Clinton only got 54% of the Republican votes, which made up 10% of the electorate. If none of those Republicans voted for either candidate, Obama would gain about 10,000. The question really is what share of Clinton’s votes were Limbaugh voters. For them to have provided the margin of victory, by my math, about 38% of all her Republican voters — that’s a lot — would have had to be voting tactically.)
Rush on his show today is playing audio tracks from Chris Matthews calling Hillary’s victory “tainted.” And, Rush is saying he has not received flowers this morning from Team Hillary.
To be a little clearer here, Limbaugh clearly had some effect. And 41% of the Republicans voting for Clinton said they’d back McCain in November — a big number that clearly included some tactically-voting Limbaugh Democrats. But they also included people like the man I quoted yesterday who considered Clinton a preferable second choice to McCain. So don’t give Rush all the credit.
ALSO: A reader points out that some Limbaugh voters are registered independents, possibly increasing the number.
Flap knows it would be hard to quantify the “Operation Chaos” vote in Indiana. The Obama campaign says Rush gave Hillary a 7 per cent bump.
Whatever, the Hillary campaign continues – and more CHAOS to come.

*****Scroll Down for Updates *****
Early news reports from Indiana have large numbers of Republicans crossing over and voting in the Democrat Presidential primary election.10:51 AM — ‘Hardcore’ Republicans voting Democrat
The two precincts at Broad Ripple Family Center selected Republican Jon Elrod over Democrat Andre Carson in March’s special election for U.S. Congress. But by 9 a.m., just 21 voters in one of those precincts had requested Republican ballots — out of 168 cast.
Amid heavy turnout, Republicans appeared to be crossing over in droves today in Marion County and suburban counties, where fewer Republican voters might impact down-ticket primary races.
Stay tuned……Update:
Rush is having voters from Indiana calling into his show and the cross-over Republican voters VOTING for Hillary is progressing. Voters are not being challenged as promised by the Indiana Democrat Party.
There are cross-over voters also reporting in from North Carolina.

Hillary Clinton Watch: Rush Limbaugh – “He’s Always Had a Crush on Meâ€
Is operation Chaos an acting out of Rush Limbaugh’s POL CRUSH on Hillary Clinton? After all Hillary says: “He’s always had a crush on me.”
Stephanopoulos pointed out that radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has encouraged Republicans to vote for Clinton to divide the Democratic Party, prompting one of the lighter moments of the show.
“He’s always had a crush on me,†Clinton said, as the room of about 200 people erupted into laughter.
Just a reminder to all Indiana Republicans – VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON on Tuesday.

Rush Limbaugh Watch: Advice to Team Obama
Today El Rushbo offers Team Obama some advice – now mind you Operation Chaos is in full swing and the word is to vote for Hillary in Indiana and North Carolina on Tuesday, May 6th.
Moments ago, Rush Limbaugh was addressing the Obama campaign with a “pep talk” of sorts, pointing out that the Clintons have gained ground by pointing out that Obama is associated with crooked, extreme, and unsavory individuals like Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, and William Ayers.
The Clintons.
Rush pointed out the towering mountain of ethical questions, unsavory characters, run-ins with the law, and examples of bad judgment in the Clintons’ past. He recalled the Chinese money ending up in Bill Clinton’s reelection coffers, renting out the Lincoln Bedroom, the millions Bill Clinton has collected since leaving office, sometimes from foreign sources… Marc Rich, Hillary’s brothers…
So, Obama should use the GOP approach to attack Hillary, right?
Sowing the seeds of chaos…….
And, the general election campaign has not even started yet.Previous:

Rush Limbaugh Watch: Operation Chaos – Gaming Indiana
Yesterday Rush Limbaugh called for an “operational pause†for his Operation Chaos. Rush gave this explanation:Ladies and gentlemen, I am calling an operational pause in Operation Chaos. We have a week to figure out now what’s best to do. If your state still allows voter registration, keep that up, continue to register as a Democrat in upcoming Operation Chaos primaries. I think it’s too late in Indiana and North Carolina. Oregon, last day is today. There are other states coming down the pike, and Puerto Rico. But I’m calling an operational pause, and I will tell you why. My first gut reaction, my instinct, in listening to the audio sound bites of Obama today throwing Jeremiah Wright off the planet, he didn’t throw him under the bus, he put him in the space shuttle and he sent him to the space station so he can pal around with the Russians that are up there. Then I watched during the bottom-of-the-hour break here, I decided to watch the Drive-By Media coverage of this, because it became obvious to me — see, I read the stitches on the fastball; I can read between the lines, and I know that most of the Drive-Bys are in the tank for Obama.
But, is the challenging of Republican and Independent voters by Indiana Democrats the REAL reason?
Here’s Indiana’s odd rule for primary voting: The state code allows a voter to cast a ballot in a primary election “if the voter, at the last general election, voted for a majority of the regular nominees of the political party holding the primary election”—apparently meaning, in this context, that the voter voted for more Democrats than Republicans in the last general election. The law also lets voters into the primary if they did not vote the last time around but intend to vote for a majority of Democrats in the next general election. The law specifically provides that a voter can challenge another voter at the polling place for not meeting these requirements. The challenger gets to demand that the voter sign an affidavit stating that she meets one of the two requirements above. If the voter signs the affidavit under penalty of perjury, she can vote.
Or will the threat of suppressing the GOP vote in heavily Republican Indiana enclaves by forcing long voting lines (for affidavit signing) a sufficient rationale for Rush to suspend the Chaos or re-game it at the last minute so as not to tip off either Obama or Clinton campaigns?
Chaos is any event.
Stay tuned………

Rush Limbaugh Watch: Operation Chaos – an Operational Pause
Rush Limbaugh has called for an “operational pause” for his Operation Chaos. The transcript of Rush’s radio show is here.Barack Obama has been so beaten up by the Jeremiah Wright flap that the game has changed. Flap guesses that Rush will wait until after the weekend and give his orders on Monday on the eve of the North Carolina and Indiana primary elections.

Hillary Clinton Watch: On To Indiana
Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., addresses employees during a campaign stop as Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., right, listens at AM General Assembly Plant, in Mishawaka, Ind., Saturday, April 12, 2008.
After yesterday’s Pennsylvania Democrat primary election victory it is on to Indiana for Senator Hillary Clinton. She won’t win North Carolina which votes prior because of its large African American population that votes 95+ per cent for Obama but Indiana will be a battleground.
At present Hillary has a slight lead in the polls.
But, she has the endorsement and active campaign support of popular Indiana Senator Evan Bayh. Flap thinks should Clinton win the nomination that Bayh will be her Vice President choice.
The Democrat presidential primary election is an OPEN Primary with delegates selected proportionally. There are 72 delegates who will be awarded on a proportional basis and 12 superdelegates, of whom five have announced support for Sen. Hillary Clinton and three for Sen. Barack Obama while four remain uncommitted.
There are 12 superdelegates up for grabs, who are not bound by the primary results.[2]
- Joe Andrew; Former DNC Chairman – Supporting Hillary Clinton[3]
- Cordelia Lewis Burks; Indiana Democratic Party Vice-Chairwoman – Supporting Barack Obama[4]
- André Carson; Representative (IN-07) – Supporting Barack Obama[5]
- Phoebe Crane; DNC Member – Supporting Hillary Clinton[6]
- Joe Donnelly; Representative (IN-02) – Uncommitted
- Brad Ellsworth; Representative (IN-08) – Uncommitted
- Baron Hill; Representative (IN-09) – Uncommitted
- Dan Parker; Indiana Democratic Party Chairman – Supporting Hillary Clinton[7]
- Bob Pastrick; DNC Member – Supporting Hillary Clinton[4]
- Connie Thurman; DNC Member – Supporting Barack Obama[2]
- Pete Visclosky; Representative (IN-01) – Uncommitted
Since the Indiana primary election is an OPEN election, Republicans, Independents, Libertarians and Green Party members can vote for whomever they wish in Red State Indiana.
And, Rush Limbaugh is already talking up Operation Chaos this morning on his radio show. He is already saying this morning that Indiana voters must not wear any identification that tips off either exit pollsters or poll workers. But, which candidate will Rush anoint?
More than likely it will be Hillary to keep the Democrats fighting among themselves for as long as possible. It is Rush’s contention that neither Hillary nor Obama may be the ultimate nominee and that a third candidate will emerge from the chaos – probably Al Gore.
Stay tuned……

Dingy Harry Reid Lays an Egg Over Rush Limbaugh Letter
Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry “DINGY” Reid attempted political hardball against Rush Limbaugh and, well, laid an egg.
Remember the phony soldiers Flap?
And remember that Dingy Harry wrote a letter of complaint to the Mark Mays, Chairman of Clear Channel, the radio conglomerate which carries Rush Limbaugh’s radio show.
Mark Mays, the CEO of Clear Channel’s response to “Dingy Harry’s” letter is here.
So, the original Reid letter has fetched over $2 million on eBay and Rush will match this amount to assist the children of Marines and law-enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
And, Reid’s hypocritical response:
REID: MADAM PRESIDENT, EARLY THIS MONTH I CAME TO THE FLOOR TO DISCUSS SOME COMMENTS MADE BY RUSH LIMBAUGH. FOLLOWING MY REMARKS, MORE THAN 40 OF MY SENATE COLLEAGUES AND I CO-SIGNED A LETTER TO THE CHAIRMAN OF CLEAR CHANNEL, MARK MAY, TELLING HIM THAT WE WANTED HIM TO CONFER WITH RUSH LIMBAUGH REGARDING THE } STATEMENTS HE MADE. I’VE SINCE SPOKEN TO MARK MAY ABOUT THIS. MARK MAY, IN FACT, CALLED ME REGARDING THIS LETTER. THIS WEEK, RUSH LIMBAUGH PUT THE ORIGINAL COPY OF THAT LETTER UP FOR AUCTION ON E-BAY. MR. PRESIDENT, WE DIDN’T HAVE TIME, OR WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN EVERY SENATOR TO SIGN THAT LETTER. BUT HE PUT THE LETTER UP FOR AUCTION ON E-BAY AND I THINK VERY, VERY CONSTRUCTIVELY, LEFT THE PROCEEDS OF THAT IT GO TO THE MARINE CORPS LAW ENFORCEMENTS FOUNDATION. THAT PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE TO MARINES AND FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL WHOSE PARENTS FALL IN THE LINE OF DUTY. WHAT COULD BE A MORE WORTHWHILE CAUSE? I THINK IT’S REALLY GOOD THAT THIS MONEY ON E-BAY IS GOING TO BE RAISED FOR THIS PURPOSE. WHEN I SPOKE TO MARK MAYIC HE AND I THOUGHT THIS PROBABLY WOULDN’T MAKE MUCH MONEY, A LETTER WRITTEN BY DEMOCRATIC SENATORS COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING. THIS MORNING, THE BID IS MORE THAN $2 MILLION FOR THIS. WE HAVE WATCHED IT DURING THE WEEK. IT KEEPS GOING UP-AND-UP AND UP. THERE’S ONLY A LITTLE BIT OF TIME LEFT ON IT. BUT IT CERTAINLY IS GOING TO BE MORE THAN $2 MILLION. NEVER DID WE THINK THAT THIS LETTER WOULD BRING MONEY OF THIS NATURE. AND, FOR THE CAUSE, MADAM PRESIDENT, IT IS EXTREMELY GOOD. NOW, EVERYONE KNOWS THAT RUSH LIMBAUGH AND I DON’T AGREE ON EVERYTHING IN LIFE AND MAYBE THAT IS KIND OF AN UNDERSTATEMENT. BUT WITHOUT QUALIFICATION MARK MAY, THE OWNER OF THE NETWORK THAT HAS RUSH LIMBAUGH AND RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOULD KNOW THAT THIS LETTER THAT THEY’RE AUCTIONING IS GOING TO BE SOMETHING THAT RAISES MONEY FOR A WORTHWHILE CAUSE. I DON’T KNOW WHAT WE COULD DO MORE IMPORTANT THAN HELPING TO ENSURE THAT CHILDREN OF OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS AND POLICE OFFICERS WHO HAVE FALLEN IN THE LINE OF DUTY HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THEIR CHILDREN TO HAVE A GOOD EDUCATION. THINK OF THIS, MORE THAN $2 MILLION — THAT WILL REALLY HELP. THAT’S, AGAIN, AN UNDERSTATEMENT. THERE’S ONLY A LITTLE BIT OF TIME LEFT SO I WOULD ASK THOSE THAT ARE WANTING TO DO MORE, THAT THEY CAN GO TO HARRY REID LETTER AND IT WILL COME UP ON E-BAY. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE INTERESTED WITH THE MEANS TO CONSIDER CONTRIBUTING TO THIS WORTHWHILE CAUSE. I STRONGLY BELIEVE WHEN WE CAN PUT OUR DIFFERENCES ASIDE, EVEN HARRY REID AND RUSH LIMBAUGH, WE SHOULD DO THAT AND TRY TO ACCOMPLISH GOOD THINGS FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. THIS DOES THAT, MADAM PRESIDENT. MORE THAN $2 MILLION FOR A LETTER SIGNED BY THIS SENATOR AND MY FRIENDS.
OWNED…….
Update:
ABC News credits the Democrats for raising the money.
The bidding ends at 1:00p.m. No mater what, Democrats are going to make a ton of money for a charity off their political vitriol.
How pathetic to be SO biased.
