Michael Ramirez on Senator Harry Reid – Mata Hari
Iraq War Watch: Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid – War in Iraq is LOST
“War in Iraq lostâ€: US Democrat leader
The war in Iraq “is lost†and a US troop surge is failing to bring peace to the country, the leader of the Democratic majority in the US Congress, Harry Reid, said Thursday.
“I believe … that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week,†Reid said, on the same day US President George W. Bush was giving a speech at an Ohio town hall meeting defending the war on terror.
Sen. Reid an embarrassment to LDS Church membership
David Broder: The Democrats’ Gonzales = Harry Reid
Hailed by his staff as “a strong leader who speaks his mind in direct fashion,” Reid is assuredly not a man who misses many opportunities to put his foot in his mouth. In 2005, he attacked Alan Greenspan, then chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, as “one of the biggest political hacks we have here in Washington.”
He called President Bush ” a loser,” then apologized. He said that Bill Frist, then Senate majority leader, had “no institutional integrity” because Frist planned to leave the Senate to fulfill a term-limits pledge. Then he apologized to Frist.
Most of these earlier gaffes were personal, bespeaking a kind of displaced aggressiveness on the part of the onetime amateur boxer. But Reid’s verbal wanderings on the war in Iraq are consequential — not just for his party and the Senate but for the more important question of what happens to U.S. policy in that violent country and to the men and women whose lives are at stake.

Iran Nuclear Watch: Olmert – 10 Day Attack Will Set Iran’s Nuclear Program Back Years
An Iranian technician works at the control room of the Isfahan Uranium Conversion Facility, February 2007. A rain of missiles could degrade Iran’s nuclear programme and set it back years, a German weekly quoted Israel’s prime minister as saying, sparking a warning from Tehran that such a strike would be a dangerous.
‘A 10-day attack could delay Iran’s nuclear race by years’
“Iran’s nuclear program can be thrown back by years in a ten day attack using thousands of Tomahawk cruise missiles,” Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was quoted as saying in an interview published online by the German magazine Focus on Saturday.
Olmert had reportedly said that it would not be possible to completely halt Iran’s race to attain nuclear capability, but that a brisk attack that would delay it significantly was “technically feasible.” While saying that Israel does not seek military confrontation, Olmert added that “nobody excludes it.”
Only a few hours after the publication of the Focus article in Israeli media outlets, the Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement denying the report.
This statement, although quickly denied, is another shot across Iran’s bow. A quick surgical strike or a more bold takeover of Iran’s oil exporting facilities would cripple Iran’s nuclear program and its economy.
But, will Israel and the United States have the will. Certainly Iran will respond by launching missiles against Israel and United States ships. This is in turn could result in an all out war against Iran – which is coming anyway.
Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert delivers a speech during an event marking the 90th anniversary of the New York Jewish Federation in parliament in Jerusalem April 25, 2007. Iran’s disputed nuclear programme could be severely hit by firing 1,000 cruise missiles in a 10-day attack, Olmert was quoted as saying on Saturday.
According to Focus, Olmert said military measures would be considered only if existing UN sanctions, and “other sanctions” would fail to bring success.
Weighing the consequences of such a scenario, Olmert said that “we must also ask ourselves whether after a military procedure, the Iranian people as a whole would not become our enemy. And would not such an action pit other Muslim nations against us, thus creating even more problems?”
The Arab World is united against Israel. So, what is the Prime Minister talking about?
The main question is: Will Israel and the United States allow Iran to have a nuclear weapons program and a nuclear bomb?
The “NUCLEAR POINT OF NO RETURN” is at hand.
It is time to act.

Giuliani Notes: Rudy Continues Offense Against Democrats
Republican presidential hopeful, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani holds a town hall meeting during a campaign stop at New England College in Henniker, N.H., April 24, 2007.
Giuliani continues offensive against Dems
Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani continued his offensive against Democrats on Friday, saying his party is best qualified to deal with wars against poverty at home and terrorism abroad.
Drawing from the first Democratic presidential debate the day before, Giuliani blasted his rivals for ignoring private sector solutions to health care and education.
“I’ll be darned if I’m going to concede that Democrats care more about poor people than we do,” Giuliani said during his brief base-building trip to the home state of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.
Giuliani said Democratic calls for mandatory universal health care would only exacerbate the cost of care by putting the system in the hands of bureaucrats.
Democratic candidates renewed their calls for universal health care during a debate in South Carolina on Thursday, saying that a new system would help streamline costs and cover the nation’s 45 million uninsured.
The Quotes:
“They’re moving toward socialized medicine so fast, it’ll make your head spin,” Giuliani said of the debate, adding that private competition and limits on malpractice lawsuits could help bring down the cost of care. “When we want to cover poor people, as we should, we give them vouchers.”
“I’ll be darned if I’m going to concede that Democrats care more about poor people than we do.”
Rudy is RIGHT again and now the issue is health care.
The choice is clear.
If you wish to retain private non-government run health care in the United States vote for Rudy and the GOP. If you want a system like the United Kingdom and Canada vote for Hillary, Obama and the Democrats.

Michael Ramirez on Alec Baldwin Part Two
Fox News: Alec Baldwin Apologizes on ‘The View,’ Asks Dr. Phil for Help
Alec Baldwin, appearing on “The View” Friday in a taped appearance, apologized to his 11-year-old daughter for calling her “a rude, thoughtless little pig.”
Baldwin said, “calling your child a pig, or anything else, is improper and inappropriate, and I apologize to my daughter for that.”
He said everyone who knows him knows he has “a great relationship” with his daughter, Ireland.
Baldwin knows “the guy that’s responsible” for leaking the tape, but he didn’t disclose a name.
The actor previously blamed his former wife, actress Kim Basinger, for the leak, which she denied.
Meanwhile, Baldwin went to TV psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw for family advice after his comments were made public last week, the therapist revealed Thursday.

Hillary Clinton Watch: Kentucky Fried Hillary Southern Accent PANDER Part Three
The First PanderThe Latest PanderClinton Says Her Southern Twang a Virtue
“I think America is ready for a multilingual president,” Clinton said during a campaign stop at a charter school in Greenville, S.C.
The New York senator—who said she’s been thinking about critics who’ve suggested that she tried to put on a fake Southern accent in Selma, Ala.—noted that she’s split her life between Arkansas, Illinois and the East Coast.
Clinton added a Southern lilt to her voice last week when addressing a civil rights group in New York City headed by the Rev. Al Sharpton. On Monday, dealing with a microphone glitch at a fundraiser for young donors, she quoted former slave and underground railroad leader Harriet Tubman.
The two episodes prompted some ribbing in the media and hatched more than a few humorous YouTube video clips.
My God, does Hillary really think American voters are STUPID and cannot see she is PANDERING to African American voters who she so desperately needs to win the Democrat nomination for President?
And, in the latest polls she is losing them to Barack Obama anyway.
Pander away Hillary……..

Missile Defense Watch: Successful Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense “Hit to Kill” Intercept Flight Test
Aegis BMD (FTM-11) Stellar Hunters Quick ReleaseAFP: Successful intercept claimed in US missile defense test
A US Navy Aegis cruiser simultaneously intercepted a ballistic missile and a target simulating a hostile fighter aircraft in a test over the Pacific, the Pentagon said.
“The test demonstrated the USS Lake Erie’s ability to engage a ballistic missile threat and defend itself from attack at the same time,” the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency said on Thursday.
The Lake Eerie is one of a growing fleet of US warships equipped with advanced radars and high-speed missiles capable of intercepting short and medium range ballistic missiles.
In the test Thursday near Hawaii, the cruiser used a Standard Missile-3 Block IA missile to intercept a target missile launched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands, Kauai, Hawaii.
At the same time, a US Navy aircraft launched a target designed to mimic a high performance fighter aircraft attacking the Lake Eerie, which engaged it with an SM-2 missile.
The ballistic missile target was intercepted 100 miles (160 kilometers) above the Pacific Ocean and 250 miles (402 kilometers) northwest of Kauai, marking the system’s eighth successful intercept in 10 flight tests, the agency said.
The Missile Defense Agency’s Press Release is here.
This picture released by the US Defense Department shows a standard missile-2 being launched from the Aegis cruiser USS Lake Erie as part of a US Navy missile defense demonstration off the Hawaiian island of Kauai, May 2006. The USS Lake Erie simultaneously intercepted a ballistic missile and a target simulating a hostile fighter aircraft in a test over the Pacific, the Pentagon said.
Here are some additional videos of the test:
Remember the Leftys and Democrats who opposed and continue to oppose the program? Some are still around – Senators Carl Levin, Slow Joe Biden and John Kerry.
Now, what do they say?
